Mebucaïne f ist eine zuckerfreie Lutschtablette und wird gegen Entzündungen des Mund- und Rachenraumes, vorab bei Halsweh, als unterstützende Massnahme bei Angina, Heiserkeit und Aphthen angewendet. Ausserdem wirkt Mebucaïne f schmerzlindernd.
Die Wirkstoffe Tyrothricin und Cetylpyridin wirken antibakteriell und desinfizierend, Oxybuprocain wirkt schmerzlindernd.
Hinweis für Diabetiker: 1 Lutschtablette Mebucaïne f enthält ca. 1 g Kohlenhydrate, was 4,1 kcal (17,16 kJ) entspricht.
Mebucaïne f darf nicht angewendet werden bei Überempfindlichkeit gegenüber einem darin enthaltenen Wirkstoff oder Hilfsstoff.
Mebucaïne f darf nicht über längere Zeit ohne ärztliche Kontrolle angewendet werden. Bei höherem Fieber oder wenn innerhalb einer Woche keine Besserung eintritt, ist ein Arzt bzw. eine Ärztin aufzusuchen.
Bei zu häufiger Anwendung während längerer Zeit können in seltenen Fällen lokale Reizerscheinungen auftreten.
Mebucaïne f enthält Sorbit (E420): Wenn Sie an einer Unverträglichkeit gegenüber gewissen Zuckern (Fructoseintoleranz) leiden, sollten Sie Mebucaïne f nicht anwenden.
Für Kinder unter 6 Jahren wird Mebucaïne f wegen möglicher Überempfindlichkeit gegen Menthol nicht empfohlen.
Mebucaïne f soll nicht kurz vor oder nach dem Zähneputzen angewendet werden, da seine Wirksamkeit sonst nachlässt.
Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin, wenn Sie
Vorsichtshalber sollten Sie während der Schwangerschaft möglichst auf Arzneimittel verzichten. Mebucaïne f darf während der Schwangerschaft und Stillzeit nur nach Absprache mit dem Arzt oder der Ärztin angewendet werden. Wenn Sie eine Schwangerschaft planen, sollten sie Mebucaïne f nur nach ärztlicher Rücksprache anwenden.
Falls vom Arzt oder der Ärztin nicht anders verordnet, wird Mebucaïne f bei den oben beschriebenen Beschwerden wie folgt angewendet:
Erwachsene: In leichteren Fällen alle 2?3 Stunden, in schweren Fällen alle 1?2 Stunden eine Lutschtablette langsam im Mund zergehen lassen (nicht zerkauen, nicht schlucken).
Sie sollten pro Tag nicht mehr als 12 Lutschtabletten einnehmen.
Die Anwendung und Sicherheit von Mebucaïne f Lutschtabletten wurde bei Kindern nicht geprüft.
Halten Sie sich an die in der Packungsbeilage angegebene oder vom Arzt oder der Ärztin verschriebene Dosierung.
Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin.
Folgende Nebenwirkungen können bei der Anwendung von Mebucaïne f auftreten:
Bei Anwendung auf frischen Wunden im Mundbereich kann es zu Blutungen kommen.
Stoppen Sie die Behandlung mit Mebucaïne f und informieren Sie sofort Ihren Arzt oder Ihre Ärztin, wenn bei Ihnen ein oder mehrere der folgenden Symptome auftreten, die Zeichen einer allergischen Reaktion sein können:
Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin informieren.
Mebucaïne f ist ausserhalb der Reichweite von Kindern aufzubewahren.
Bei Raumtemperatur (15?25 °C) lagern und vor Feuchtigkeit schützen.
Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf dem Behälter mit «EXP» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden.
