Vagoclyss kann im Falle von Erkrankungen im Vaginalbereich Erleichterung bringen. Die Scheide enthält normalerweise eine Mischflora von nicht krankmachenden Bakterien, vor allem Milchsäurebakterien (sog. Döderleinsche Stäbchen) und das Sekret ist aus diesem Grund sauer (pH 4). Wenn das Gleichgewicht gestört wird, kann vermehrt Ausfluss, Entzündung, Juckreiz oder unangenehmer Geruch auftreten.
In solchen Fällen hilft eine Vaginalspülung mit Vagoclyss. Diese Reinigung mittels Spülung entfernt bakterielle Überreste. Dies fördert die Wiederherstellung des Gleichgewichts der Vaginalflora.
Auf Verschreibung des Arztes/der Ärztin wird Vagoclyss angewendet bei:
? Weissfluss, Entzündungen und Juckreiz verschiedener Herkunft z.B. Mischinfektionen, Reizungen mechanischen und chemischen Ursprungs (Pessare, Crèmes), Störungen der Vaginalflora durch Antibiotika oder hormoneller Empfängnisverhütung.
? Zur Unterstützung einer kausalen Behandlung mit Antibiotika oder Chemotherapeutika.
Während der Schwangerschaft (s. sep. Kapitel) und bei Überempfindlichkeit gegenüber dem Wirkstoff oder einem Hilfsstoff gemäss Zusammensetzung.
Im Falle starken Ausflusses oder unregelmässiger Menstruation soll der Arzt/die Ärztin befragt werden, bevor Vagoclyss weiter benützt wird.
Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin, wenn Sie an anderen Krankheiten leiden, Allergien haben oder andere Medikamente (auch selbstgekaufte) einnehmen oder anwenden.
Bei Schwangerschaft sollen keine Vaginalspülungen vorgenommen werden.
In der Stillzeit darf Vagoclyss angewendet werden.
Nach Angaben des Arztes/der Ärztin.
In hartnäckigen Fällen: 2?4 mal pro Woche.
In leichten Fällen und für hygienische Spülungen: 1?2 mal pro Woche.
Den Beutel aus der Packung herausnehmen und in lauwarmem Wasser auf Körpertemperatur erwärmen lassen. Den Beutel senkrecht halten, die Klemme am unteren Ende der Kanüle einschieben, bis die Kanüle vollständig zugeklemmt ist. Den Verschluss des Endstückes abbrechen und die Lösung in die Kanüle abtropfen lassen. Die Spülung wird am besten in der Badewanne vorgenommen. Die Kanüle vorsichtig 4?5 cm weit in die Scheide einführen, die Klemme öffnen und die Flüssigkeit nach und nach auslaufen lassen (Beutel einrollen).
Die Sicherheit und Wirksamkeit bei Kindern und Jugendlichen sind nicht geprüft.
Ändern Sie nicht von sich aus die verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben das Medikament wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihrer Ärztin oder Apothekerin.
Für Vagoclyss sind ausser einer gelegentlichen mechanischen Reizung durch die Kanüle oder schwachen Hautreaktionen (Rötung, Jucken, Brennen) bisher keine Nebenwirkungen beobachtet worden.
Falls weitere Nebenwirkungen auftreten, bei denen Sie einen Zusammenhang mit der Anwendung von Vagoclyss vermuten, sollten Sie unverzüglich Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin aufsuchen.
Infektionen im Genitalbereich sind übertragbare Erkrankungen. Bitte beachten Sie allgemeine Hygienemassnahmen wie regelmässige Körperpflege.
Das Arzneimittel in der Originalpackung, ausserhalb der Reichweite von Kindern, trocken und bei Raumtemperatur (15?25 °C) aufbewahren.
Vagoclyss darf nur bis zu dem auf der Packung mit «EXP» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden.
Nach Beendigung der Behandlung das Arzneimittel mit dem restlichen Inhalt Ihrer Abgabestelle (Arzt oder Apotheker) zum fachgerechten Entsorgen bringen.
Weitere Auskünfte erteilt Ihnen Ihr Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin der/die über die ausführliche Fachinformation verfügt.
1 ml Vagoclyss enthält: 10 mg Milchsäure als Wirkstoff, Benzalkoniumchlorid als Konservierungsmittel, sowie weitere Hilfsstoffe zur Herstellung einer Lösung.
