Arkocaps Harpadol Kapseln enthalten das Pulver der Pflanzenwurzel (Harpagophytum procumbens). Diese Wurzel wird bei sehr niedriger Temperatur getrocknet und pulverisiert, um ein feines Pulver zu gewinnen, in dem alle Wirkstoffe der Pflanze enthalten sind. Dieses Arzneimittel wird zur symptomatischen Behandlung von Schmerzen bei leichten degenerativen Gelenkkrankheiten (z.B. Arthrosen) verwendet.
Bei heftigen Symptomen (zum Beispiel Rötungen, Ödemen oder Gefühl von Hitze in den Gliedern) oder bei anhaltenden Symptomen, ist ein Arzt aufzusuchen.
Die Behandlungsdauer kann bis zu 2 oder 3 Monaten verlängert werden.
Wenn die Schmerzen anhalten, wird empfohlen, sich an einen Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten zu wenden.
Arkocaps Harpadol darf nicht angewendet werden bei bekannter Überempfindlichkeit gegen Harpagophytum-Zubereitungen oder weiteren Bestandteilen des Arzneimittels; das Gleiche gilt für Personen, die an Magen- oder Zwölffingerdarmgeschwüren leiden.
Personen, die an Gallensteinen leiden, müssen sich vor einer Behandlung mit Arkocaps Harpadol an einen Arzt wenden.
Dieses Arzneimittel ist nur für Erwachsene bestimmt. Nicht anwenden bei Kindern oder Jungendlichen.
? bei Diabetikern aufgrund der Hypoglykämieaktivität des Harpagophytums (Interferenzrisiko mit der Insulinbehandlung und anderen oralen antidiabetischen Medikationen);
? bei Patienten mit einer Behandlung im Zusammenhang mit Herzbeschwerden oder zu niedrigem/zu hohem Blutdruck, wegen der kardiovaskulären Aktivität des Harpagophytums (mögliche Veränderung von Herzfrequenz und Blutdruck), die bei Tieren bewiesen wurde (Interferenzrisiko mit der Behandlung).
Eine Wechselwirkung mit Arzneimitteln, die die Blutgerinnung hemmen (Warfarin, Heparin), kann nicht ausgeschlossen werden.
Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin, wenn Sie an anderen Krankheiten leiden, Allergien haben oder andere Arzneimittel (auch selbstgekaufte) einnehmen.
Da keine stichhaltigen klinischen Versuchs- und Beobachtungsergebnisse vorliegen, darf das Präparat nicht während der Schwangerschaft oder der Stillzeit eingenommen werden.
Für die Erwachsenen beträgt die Dosis 6 Kapseln pro Tag (2 Kapseln morgens, mittags und abends), während der Mahlzeiten mit einem Glas Wasser.
Halten Sie sich an die in der Packungsbeilage angegebene oder vom Arzt bzw. von der Ärztin verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin.
Die am häufigsten zitierten unerwünschten Begleiterscheinungen sind: leichte Magen- und Darmbeschwerden (beispielsweise Sodbrennen, Darmblähungen, Diarrhöe, Übelkeit, Erbrechen), Kopfschmerzen, sowie allergische Hautreaktionen.
Bei allergischen Reaktionen muss die Behandlung mit Arkocaps Harpadol eingestellt und ein Arzt aufgesucht werden.
Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin informieren.
Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf dem Behälter mit «EXP» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden. Den Behälter in der Originalpackung aufbewahren und bei Raumtemperatur (15?25 °C) lagern.
Ausser Reichweite von Kindern aufbewahren.
