DemoTussil Lutschdragées bekämpfen den mit Reizungen und Entzündungen der Atemwege einhergehenden Hustenreflex.
Sie enthalten als Antitussivum den Wirkstoff Noscapin, welcher die Atmung erleichtert. Durch ihre hustenlösenden und erweichenden Eigenschaften ergänzen die Extrakte aus Drosera und Süssholz sowie die ätherischen Öle aus Pfefferminz und Eucalyptus die Wirkung von Noscapin.
DemoTussil wird zur Beruhigung des Hustens bei Erkältungen und des Reizhustens bei Erkältungen angewendet.
Auf ärztliche Verschreibung kann DemoTussil bei Husten infolge Laryngotracheitis, Bronchitis und Sinusitis angewendet werden.
Produktiver Husten ist Bestandteil der natürlichen bronchopulmonalen Abwehr und sollten nicht unterdrückt werden.
Rauchen trägt zur Entstehung von Husten bei («Raucherhusten»). Sie können die Wirkung von DemoTussil fördern, indem Sie auf das Rauchen verzichten.
Diabetiker müssen beachten, dass ein Dragée 0,59 g Saccharose enthält.
DemoTussil nicht anwenden während der Schwangerschaft und Stillzeit, bei Atemwegserkrankungen mit starker Schleimbildung oder bei bekannter Überempfindlichkeit gegen einen der Inhaltsstoffe.
Fragen Sie einen Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. eine Ärztin oder Apothekerin um Rat, falls der Husten länger als 7 Tage andauert, damit eine Krankheit, die eine spezifische Behandlung erfordert, ausgeschlossen werden kann.
Die gleichzeitige Anwendung von DemoTussil mit schleimlösenden Mitteln (Expektorantien, Mukolytika) ist zu vermeiden, weil sonst das Risiko eines Sekretstaus besteht, wodurch das Auftreten eines Bronchialkrampfes (Bronchialspasmus) und einer Atemwegsinfektion begünstigt wird.
Dieses Arzneimittel kann die Reaktionsfähigkeit, die Fahrtüchtigkeit und Fähigkeit Werkzeuge oder Maschinen zu bedienen, beeinträchtigen. Eine solche Wirkung wird noch durch die gleichzeitige Einnahme alkoholhaltiger Getränke verstärkt.
Ausserdem sollten Sie vorsichtshalber keine Arzneimittel gleichzeitig mit DemoTussil einnehmen, die auf das Gehirn wirken, wie z.B. gewisse Arzneimittel gegen Husten oder gegen Angstzustände, Depressionen, Schlafstörungen oder Schmerzen.

Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogist bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin, wenn Sie an anderen Krankheiten leiden, Allergien haben oder andere Arzneimittel (auch selbstgekaufte!) einnehmen oder äusserlich anwenden.
Während der Schwangerschaft oder Stillzeit sollte DemoTussil nicht eingenommen werden.
Falls nicht anders vom Arzt bzw. von der Ärztin verordnet:
Erwachsene: alle 1?2 Stunden 1?2 Dragées lutschen, doch höchstens 16 Dragées pro Tag.
Kinder über 6 Jahre: je nach Alter des Kindes, doch höchstens 8 Dragées pro Tag.
Für Kinder unter 6 Jahren ist DemoTussil nicht geeignet.
Die Dragées nicht schlucken, sondern langsam lutschen.
Halten Sie sich an die in der Packungsbeilage angegebene oder vom Arzt oder von der Ärztin verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin.
Folgende Nebenwirkungen können bei der Einnahme von DemoTussil auftreten: Kopfweh, Schwindel, Müdigkeit, Übelkeit und Hautrötung.
Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin informieren.
DemoTussil ist bei Raumtemperatur (15?25 °C) und ausserhalb der Reichweite von Kindern aufzubewahren.
Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf dem Behälter mit «EXP» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden.
Weitere Auskünfte erteilt Ihnen Ihr Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogist bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin. Diese Personen verfügen über die ausführliche Fachinformation.
1 Lutschdragée enthält als Wirkstoffe 7,5 mg Noscapin, 20 mg Flüssigextrakt aus Drosera (DEV = 0,6?1,2:1, Auszugsmittel: Alkohol), 15 mg Flüssigextrakt aus Süssholz, Eucalyptusöl (1,3 mg) und Pfefferminzöl (1,3 mg), sowie ein Aroma (mit Vanillin), 0,59 g Zucker und weitere Hilfsstoffe.
