Symbioflor 2 ist ein Immunstimulanz (Mittel zur Steigerung der körpereigenen Abwehr) und enthält natürlich vorkommende Escherichia coli Bakterien, die das Immunsystem im Darmtrakt günstig beeinflussen. Symbioflor 2 dient zur Behandlung von funktionellen Störungen des Magen-Darmtraktes insbesondere von Reizdarm (Colon irritabile).
Überempfindlichkeit gegenüber einem der Bestandteile des Arzneimittels. Symbioflor 2 darf nicht bei schweren organischen Erkrankungen des Magen-Darmtraktes wie akuten Entzündungen der Gallenblase, der Bauchspeicheldrüse und bei Darmverschluss eingenommen werden. Während einer Antibiotikum-Therapie darf Symbioflor 2 nicht angewandt werden. Nach einer Antibiotikum- Therapie muss mindestens 5 Tage zugewartet werden bevor Symbioflor 2 verwendet werden darf. Während akut fieberhafter Erkrankungen sollte Symbioflor 2 vorübergehend abgesetzt werden.
Bei bestimmungsgemässem Gebrauch sind keine besonderen Vorsichtsmassnahmen zu befolgen. Auswirkungen auf die Reaktionsfähigkeit, die Fahrtüchtigkeit und die Fähigkeit, Werkzeuge oder Maschinen zu bedienen sind nicht bekannt.

Wenn Sie schwanger sind oder es werden möchten oder falls Sie stillen, sollte Symbioflor 2 nur auf ausdrückliche Anweisung Ihres darüber informierten Arztes oder Apothekers bzw. Ihrer Ärztin oder Apothekerin eingenommen werden.
Dauer der Behandlung: Die Anwendungsdauer richtet sich nach der Schwere der vorliegenden Erkrankung und kann bis zu 8 Wochen betragen. Halten Sie sich an die in der Packungsbeilage angegebene oder vom Arzt oder der Ärztin verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin oder Apothekerin.
Folgende Nebenwirkungen können bei der Einnahme oder Anwendung von Symbioflor 2 auftreten: Zu Behandlungsbeginn können gelegentlich Blähbauch, Windabgang oder Oberbauchbeschwerden auftreten. Vereinzelt tritt Hautausschlag auf.
Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin informieren.
Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf dem Behälter mit «Exp.» angegebenen Datum verwendet werden. Symbioflor 2 ist in der verschlossenen Originalpackung nicht unter 2 °C und nicht über 25 °C und ausserhalb der Reichweite von Kindern aufzubewahren. Verschliessen Sie die Flasche nach Gebrauch sofort gut. Die angebrochene Flasche darf nicht länger als 4 Wochen im Kühlschrank (2 °C?8 °C) gelagert werden. Das Datum des Anbruchs auf der Flasche notieren. Bei starker Ausflockung der Lösung sollte Symbioflor 2 nicht mehr eingenommen werden. Symbioflor 2 enthält keine Konservierungsstoffe und ist daher bei unsachgemässem Gebrauch anfällig für Verunreinigungen. Diese werden vermieden, indem man die Flasche zum Gebrauch nur kurz öffnet und den Inhalt vorsichtig abtropfen lässt. Den Tropfenzähler nicht berühren! Weitere Auskünfte erteilt Ihnen Ihr Arzt oder Apotheker, bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin. Diese Personen verfügen über die ausführliche Fachinformation.
