Torecan ist ein Mittel gegen Schwindel und Erbrechen. Es verhindert das Aufkommen von Übelkeit und Erbrechen oder vermindert die Auswirkung oder Stärke des Anfalls. Torecan wird auf Verschreibung des Arztes bzw. der Ärztin angewendet.
Wenn Sie auf Torecan oder Phenothiazine oder einen anderen Inhaltsstoff überempfindlich (allergisch) sind, dürfen Sie dieses Präparat nicht einnehmen oder anwenden. Stillende Frauen und Kinder unter 15 Jahren dürfen Torecan ebenfalls nicht einnehmen oder anwenden.
Dieses Arzneimittel kann die Reaktionsfähigkeit, die Fahrtüchtigkeit und Fähigkeit, Werkzeuge oder Maschinen zu bedienen, beeinträchtigen. Die Wirkung von Beruhigungsmitteln und/oder Alkohol wird durch die gleichzeitige Einnahme oder Anwendung von Torecan verstärkt. Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin, wenn Sie an einer Lebererkrankung leiden.
Torecan Dragées enthalten den Zucker Lactose und Saccharose (bestehend aus Fructose und Glucose). Deshalb ist Vorsicht geboten, wenn Sie an einer seltenen vererbten Unverträglichkeit auf Zucker wie Fructose, Glucose, Lactose oder Galactose, oder an einem Sucrase-Isomaltase-Mangel leiden.
Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin, wenn Sie
?an anderen Krankheiten leiden,
?Allergien haben oder
?andere Arzneimittel (auch selbstgekaufte!) einnehmen oder äusserlich anwenden.
Wenn Sie schwanger sind oder es werden wollen, dürfen Sie Torecan nur nach Rücksprache mit Ihrem Arzt bzw. Ihrer Ärztin einnehmen oder anwenden. In der Stillzeit dürfen Sie Torecan nicht einnehmen oder anwenden.
Sie verwenden Torecan nach Weisung Ihres Arztes bzw. Ihrer Ärztin, d.h. 1 Dragée 1-3× täglich. In schweren Fällen wird Ihnen Ihr Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin eine Ampulle spritzen. Die Dragées schlucken Sie unzerkaut mit etwas Flüssigkeit (kein alkoholisches Getränk) kurz vor dem Essen.
Ändern Sie nicht von sich aus die vorgeschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihrer Ärztin oder Apothekerin.
Folgende Nebenwirkungen können bei der Einnahme oder Anwendung von Torecan auftreten:
Häufig kann es vorkommen, dass Sie nach der Einnahme oder Anwendung von Torecan Mundtrockenheit oder eine leichte Benommenheit bis Schläfrigkeit verspüren. Selten kann die Körpertemperatur, verbunden mit Bewusstseinstrübung, rasch ansteigen. Ausserdem können Blickkrämpfe, Schwellungen im Gesicht und Hals (Angioödeme), sowie Schwierigkeiten beim Schlucken, auftreten. Ferner kann die Einnahme oder Anwendung von Torecan auch zu tiefem Blutdruck führen. In diesen Fällen müssen Sie Ihren Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin sofort benachrichtigen.
Selten können Störungen im Bewegungsablauf (extrapyramidale Symptome), Muskelkrämpfe oder Muskelsteife auftreten. Diese Anzeichen verschwinden, wenn Sie die Einnahme oder Anwendung des Arzneimittels vermindern oder absetzen. In diesem Fall ist der Arzt bzw. die Ärztin zu informieren.
Sehr selten kann es nach Einnahme oder Anwendung von Torecan zu einer schweren allergischen Reaktion oder zu einem neuroleptischen malignen Syndrom kommen. Ferner können Hautausschläge, Leberfunktionsstörungen oder Herzrasen auftreten.
Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin informieren.
Arzneimittel sind für Kinder unerreichbar aufzubewahren.
Torecan ist in Originalpackung und bei Raumtemperatur (15 ? 25ºC) zu lagern.
Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf der Packung mit «EXP» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden. Die angebrochene Packung sollten Sie nach Ablauf der Haltbarkeit Ihrem Apotheker bzw. Ihrer Apothekerin zurückgeben und nicht in den übrigen Hausabfall werfen.
Weitere Auskünfte erteilt Ihnen Ihr Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin: diese Personen verfügen über die ausführliche Fachinformation.
