+-Was ist Cerumenol und wann wird es angewendet?

Cerumenol ist ein zum einmaligen Gebrauch bestimmtes Präparat zum Aufweichen von Ohrenpfropfen. Es erleichtert die anschliessend vorzunehmende Ohrenspülung.

+-Wann darf Cerumenol nicht angewendet werden?

Cerumenol darf nicht angewendet werden, wenn am Ohr eine Schädigung, z.B. eine Trommelfellverletzung, besteht, oder wenn eine Ohrenentzündung, im Besonderen im Gehörgangsbereich im Zusammenhang mit übermässig starken Absonderungen der Talgdrüsen, vorliegt. Ebenfalls nicht anzuwenden ist Cerumenol bei Gehörgangs-Ekzemen.

Nicht anzuwenden bei Kindern unter 4 Jahren, da keine ausreichenden Daten zur Wirksamkeit und Sicherheit vorliegen.

+-Wann ist bei der Anwendung von Cerumenol Vorsicht geboten?

Vorsicht ist geboten bei starken Ohrenschmerzen und bei Auftreten von Schwindel; in diesen Fällen ist ein Arzt oder eine Ärztin aufzusuchen. Dasselbe gilt bei Versagen der Therapie.

Cerumenol darf nicht zusammen mit anderen Ohrentropfen angewendet werden.

Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin, wenn Sie an andern Krankheiten leiden, Allergien haben oder andere Arzneimittel (auch selbst gekaufte!) einnehmen oder äusserlich anwenden.

+-Darf Cerumenol während einer Schwangerschaft oder in der Stillzeit angewendet werden?

Wenn Sie schwanger sind oder werden möchten, sollten Sie Cerumenol ausschliesslich nach Rücksprache mit Ihrem Arzt bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin anwenden.

+-Wie verwenden Sie Cerumenol?

Falls vom Arzt bzw. von der Ärztin nicht anders verordnet:

Erwachsene und Kinder ab 4 Jahren:

5 Tropfen bei seitlich geneigtem Kopf oder bei seitlichem Liegen ins Ohr einträufeln. Um einem möglichen Ausfliessen von Cerumenol beim Aufrichten des Kopfes zu begegnen, kann ein mit Vaselin bestrichener Wattebausch in den Gehörgang eingeführt werden. Nach etwa 20 Minuten kann der Wattebausch entfernt werden. Danach kann der aufgeweichte Ohrenpfropfen durch Spülung mit Wasser (keinesfalls mit harten Gegenständen, wie z.B. Wattestäbchen!), entfernt werden.

Halten Sie sich an die in der Packungsbeilage angegebene oder vom Arzt oder von der Ärztin verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin.

+-Welche Nebenwirkungen kann Cerumenol haben?

Für Cerumenol sind bei bestimmungsgemässem Gebrauch bisher sehr selten Nebenwirkungen beobachtet worden. Das Produkt kann zu lokalen Reizungen, Rötungen oder Hautausschlag führen. Falls Sie weitere Nebenwirkungen bemerken, informieren Sie Ihren Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin.

+-Was ist ferner zu beachten?

Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf dem Behälter mit «Exp.:» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden.

Bei Raumtemperatur 15?25 °C lagern.

Nicht in Reichweite von Kindern aufbewahren.

1 ml Cerumenol-Lösung enthält folgende Wirkstoffe: Paradichlorbenzenum 20 mg, Chlorbutanolum 50 mg, Oleum Terebinthinae 86 mg, Orthodichlorbenzenum 145 mg, Methoxybutylis-acetat 95 mg, sowie Hilfsstoffe.
