Zinkmangel kann wegen einseitiger oder ungenügender Ernährung, wegen eines erhöhten Bedarfes wie beispielsweise nach Operationen, Verletzungen, Schwangerschaft und Stillzeit entstehen. Auch erhöhte Zinkverluste des Körpers, die durch gewisse Arzneimittel ausgelöst werden können, oder eine ungenügende Zinkverwertung (z.B. bei Darmerkrankungen, Leberzirrhose) können zu Zinkmangel führen.
Wenn Ihnen Ihr Arzt oder Ihre Ärztin andere Arzneimittel verschrieben hat, fragen Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin, ob Burgerstein Zinkglukonat-Tabletten gleichzeitig eingenommen werden dürfen.
Burgerstein Zinkglukonat darf bei Überempfindlichkeit auf den Wirkstoff oder einen der Hilfsstoffe, schweren Nierenfunktionsstörungen oder akutem Nierenversagen nicht eingenommen werden.
Durch Zinkzufuhr kann die Aufnahme anderer Spurenelemente beeinträchtigt werden. So kann es zu einer verminderten Kupferaufnahme, einer Ausbildung eines niedrigen Kupfer-Blutspiegels sowie zu Eisenresorptionsstörungen kommen. Zink kann die Aufnahme einer bestimmten Antibiotika-Gruppe (Tetrazykline) beeinträchtigen. Die Einnahme dieser Antibiotika sollte deshalb vor oder mindestens 5 Stunden nach der Einnahme von Burgerstein Zinkglukonat erfolgen.
Da die Aufnahme von Zink durch calcium- und phosphorhaltige Präparate sowie durch Kaffee und Vollkornprodukte vermindert wird, ist dem Hinweis, dass Burgerstein Zinkglukonat entweder 1 Stunde vor oder 2 Stunden nach dem Essen genommen werden sollen, Beachtung zu schenken.
Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin, wenn Sie an anderen Krankheiten leiden, Allergien haben oder andere Medikamente (auch selbstgekaufte!) einnehmen oder äusserlich anwenden.
Burgerstein Zinkglukonat darf während einer Schwangerschaft oder während der Stillzeit eingenommen werden, in der vom Arzt oder der Ärztin verschriebenen Dosis.
Erwachsene: Der Arzt oder die Ärztin wird auf Grund der jeweiligen Stoffwechselsituation die für Sie zutreffende Dosierung festlegen.
Die Tabletten nehmen Sie unzerkaut 1 Stunde vor oder 2 Stunden nach dem Essen mit einer Flüssigkeit ein.
Burgerstein Zinkglukonat ist nicht zur Anwendung bei Kindern und Jugendlichen bestimmt.
Ändern Sie nicht von sich aus die verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin oder Apothekerin.
Folgende Nebenwirkungen können bei der Einnahme oder Anwendung von Burgerstein Zinkglukonat auftreten: In seltenen Fällen Sodbrennen, Erbrechen, Durchfall oder leichte Übelkeit.
Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin informieren.
Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf dem Behälter mit «EXP» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden.
Burgerstein Zinkglukonat ist ausser Reichweite von Kindern sowie gut verschlossen, trocken und bei Raumtemperatur (15?25 °C) aufzubewahren.
Weitere Auskünfte erteilt Ihnen Ihr Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin. Diese Personen verfügen über die ausführliche Fachinformation.
