Burgerstein Vitamin A-Kapseln dürfen nicht angewendet werden bei bekannter Überempfindlichkeit (Allergie) gegen Erdnuss. Burgerstein Vitamin A-Kapseln sollen nicht angewendet werden, wenn bereits eine Überversorgung des Körpers mit Vitamin A besteht, bei schweren Nierenfunktionsstörungen sowie während einer Therapie mit Retinoiden (z.B. Akne).
Vorsicht geboten ist bei Nierenfunktionsstörungen, bei Leberzirrhose und im Wachstum. Eine gleichzeitige Einnahme weiterer Vitamin A-haltiger Präparate ist zu vermeiden.
Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin, wenn Sie an anderen Krankheiten leiden, Allergien haben oder andere Arzneimittel (auch selbst gekaufte!) einnehmen bzw. anwenden.
Der Arzt bzw. die Ärztin setzt die für Sie geeignete Dosierung fest. Für Erwachsene sind folgende Einnahmemengen üblich:
Bei Vitamin A-Mangelerscheinungen täglich 1-2 Kapseln nach einer Mahlzeit bis zum Verschwinden der Symptome.
Für die therapeutische Anwendung, wie zur Unterstützung der lokalen Behandlung der Akne, sind tägliche Gaben von 2-4 mal 2 Kapseln (100?000 ? 200?000 I.E.) während oder nach den Mahlzeiten angezeigt.
Kinder (ab 25 kg): 2 Kapseln pro Tag (=50?000 I.E./Tag).
Maximaldosis für Kinder: 4?000 I.E. pro kg Körpergewicht pro Tag.
Ändern Sie nicht von sich aus die verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin oder Apothekerin.
Für Burgerstein Vitamin A-Kapseln sind bisher bei bestimmungsgemässem Gebrauch keine Nebenwirkungen beobachtet worden.
Zu hohe Dosen von Vitamin A können Beschwerden verursachen. Wenn Sie Schwindelgefühle oder Kopfschmerzen haben, erbrechen müssen oder aussergewöhnlich müde sind, so können diese Zeichen auf eine zu hohe Vitamin A-Menge im Körper hinweisen. Auch Hautveränderungen (Schuppen, Juckreiz, trockene Schleimhäute, Entzündungen der Lippen) und Knochenschmerzen können davon herrühren. In diesen Fällen sollten Sie sich mit Ihrem Arzt oder Ihrer Ärztin absprechen. Er bzw. sie wird entscheiden, ob Sie Burgerstein Vitamin A-Kapseln noch weiter einnehmen sollen.
Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin informieren.
Burgerstein Vitamin A-Kapseln sind ausserhalb der Reichweite von Kindern, gut verschlossen bei Raumtemperatur (15-25 °C) aufzubewahren.
Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf dem Behälter mit «Exp» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden.
