Der Hauptwirkstoff der Carbamid + VAS Widmer, das Tretinoin, beschleunigt die Zellbildung der Haut und wirkt dadurch leicht abschuppend. Der Harnstoff bewirkt ein Erweichen und ebenfalls ein Abschuppen der übermässig verhornten Haut. Er wirkt leicht antimikrobiell und erhöht das Wasserbindungsvermögen der Haut. Das Panthenol wirkt entzündungs- und juckreizhemmend. Carbamid + VAS Widmer wird nur auf Verschreibung des Arztes oder der Ärztin angewendet bei schweren Fällen von Ichthyose (Ichthyosis, sogenannte «Fischschuppenkrankheit»), bei Verhornungsstörungen an Händen und Füssen sowie bei Warzen.
Die Crème Carbamid + VAS Widmer darf nicht angewendet werden bei bekannter Überempfindlichkeit auf einen der Wirkstoffe oder Hilfsstoffe, Rosacea, akutem Ekzem sowie akuten Entzündungen der Haut, in der Schwangerschaft sowie bei Frauen, die eine Schwangerschaft planen.
Die mit Carbamid + VAS Widmer behandelten Hautpartien dürfen nicht starker Sonnenbestrahlung (auch Höhensonne und Solarien) ausgesetzt werden. Kontakt mit Augen und Schleimhäuten ist zu vermeiden. Gleichzeitige Anwendung von lokalen Schälmitteln wie z.B. Resorcin, Salicylsäure, etc. kann Trockenheit und Irritation der Haut verursachen und sollte nur auf ärztliche Anweisung erfolgen. Carbamid + VAS Widmer soll nur auf den betroffenen Hautstellen angewendet und nicht auf verletzte Haut aufgetragen werden.

Während einer Schwangerschaft oder in der Stillzeit darf Carbamid + VAS Widmer nicht angewendet werden. Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt oder Ihre Ärztin, wenn Sie schwanger werden möchten.
Wenn vom Arzt bzw. von der Ärztin nicht anders verordnet, tragen Sie die Carbamid + VAS Widmer 1-2-mal täglich auf die gut gereinigte Haut auf und massieren sie gründlich ein. Bei der Warzenbehandlung ist vorheriges Aufweichen in warmem Wasser angebracht.
Ändern Sie nicht von sich aus die verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin oder Apothekerin.
Folgende Nebenwirkungen können bei der Anwendung von Carbamid + VAS Widmer auftreten:
In seltenen Fällen können Hautreizungen wie Brennen, Röten, Jucken und Schuppung auftreten. Die Hautpigmentierung kann vermindert werden. Das Auftreten von Überempfindlichkeitsreaktionen ist möglich.
Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin informieren.
Carbamid + VAS Widmer darf nur bis zu dem auf dem Behälter mit «EXP» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden. Nur zur äusserlichen Anwendung. Bei Raumtemperatur (15?25 °C) aufbewahren.
