Nifedipin Sandoz CR 40, Tabletten enthalten als Wirkstoff Nifedipin, das zur Gruppe der sogenannten Calciumantagonisten gehört. Nifedipin verringert den Sauerstoffbedarf des Herzens und schützt das Herz vor Überlastung. Seine spannungslösende Wirkung auf die Herzkranzgefässe verhindert die Entstehung von Herzschmerzem (Angina pectoris) oder reduziert deren Häufigkeit und Schmerzintensität.
Die blutdrucksenkende Wirkung von Nifedipin beruht auf einer Weitstellung der herzfernen Blutgefässe (Arterien). Der Gefässwiderstand wird erniedrigt und die erhöhten Blutdruckwerte werden gesenkt.
Nifedipin Sandoz CR 40 Tabletten dürfen nur auf Verschreibung und unter ständiger Kontrolle eines Arztes bzw. einer Ärztin verwendet werden.
Nifedipin Sandoz CR 40, Tabletten dürfen nicht bei Überempflindlichkeit gegen den Wirkstoff oder einen anderen Inhaltsstoff eingenommen werden.
Das Arzneimittel darf nicht im Herzkreislauf-Schock sowie bei akutem Herzinfarkt (innerhalb der ersten 4 Wochen) oder instablier Angina pectoris angewandt werden.
Ebenfalls dürfen Nifedipin Sandoz CR 40, Tabletten nicht gleichzeitig mit Rifampicin, einem Antibiotikum gegen Tuberkulose, eingenommen werden.
Die Anwendung und Sicherheit von Nifedipin Sandoz CR 40, Tabletten bei Kindern und Jugendlichen ist bisher nicht geprüft worden.
Wenn Sie einen künstlichen Darmausgang haben, dürfen Sie Nifedipin Sandoz CR 40 nicht einnehmen.
Bei Patienten bzw. Patientinnen mit ausgeprägt niedrigem Blutdruck (schwere Hypotension: systolischer Blutdruck unterhalb 90 mmHg) sowie bei schweren Einengungen des Magen-Darmtaktes ist Vorsicht geboten.
Nifedipin Sandoz CR 40 kann gleichzeitig mit anderen blutdrucksenkenden Mitteln gegeben werden, wobei mit einer Verstärkung der blutdrucksenkenden Wirkungen zu rechnen ist.
Bei gleichzeitiger Gabe von Cimetidin oder Cisapride (Mittel gegen Magenübersäuerung) sowie von trizyklischen Antidepressiva und Nitraten kann die blutdrucksenkende Wirkung verstärkt werden.
Nifedipin Sandoz CR 40 nicht zusammen mit Grapefruitsaft einnehmen, da dies eine verstärkte Wirkung zur Folge haben kann.
Folgende Mittel können ebenfalls die Wirkung von Nifedipin Sandoz CR 40 verstärken und sollten daher nicht gleichzeitig mit Nifedipin Sandoz CR 40 eingenommen werden, ausser der Arzt oder die Ärztin verordnet dies ausdrücklich:
Nifedipin Sandoz CR 40 kann zudem die Wirksamkeit anderer Arzneimittel beeinflussen. Dazu gehören:
Mittel gegen Herzkrankheiten wie Chinidin, Diltiazem, Digoxin;
Nifedipin Sandoz CR 40 darf nicht zusammen mit Mitteln gegen Epilepsie wie Phenytoin, Carbamazepin, Phenobarbital oder Valproinsäure eingenommen werden, ausser der Arzt oder die Ärztin verordnet dies ausdrücklich.
Die gleichzeitige Einnahme von Nifedipin Sandoz CR 40 mit gewissen Antibiotika sollte ebenfalls nicht erfolgen, ausser der Arzt oder die Ärztin verordnet dies ausdrücklich. Dazu gehören:
Falls bei Ihnen während einer Behandlung mit Ciclosporin (z.B. im Rahmen einer Organtransplantation) sich eine Wucherung des Zahnfleisches gebildet hat (eine so genannte Gingivahyperplasie), sollten Sie Nifedipin Sandoz CR 40 nicht einnehmen, da auch unter Nifedipin die Bildung solcher Zahnfleischveränderungen beobachtet worden ist.
Dieses Arzneimittel kann die Reaktionsfähigkeit, die Fahrtüchtigkeit und die Fähigkeit, Werkzeuge oder Maschinen zu bedienen, beeinträchtigen. Dies gilt im verstärktem Masse im Zusammenhang mit der Einnahme von Alkohol.
Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt, Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin, wenn Sie an anderen Krankheiten leiden, Allergien haben oder andere Arzneimittel (auch selbstgekaufte) einnehmen!
Nifedipin Sandoz CR 40 darf während der gesamten Schwangerschaft nicht eingenommen werden. Nifedipin geht in die Muttermilch über. Ob eine arzneimittelbedingte Wirkung beim Säugling auftreten kann, ist bisher nicht bekannt geworden. Es wird empflohlen, aus Vorsichtsgründen abzustillen. Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt bzw. ihre Ärztin, wenn Sie schwanger sind, es werden möchten oder ein Kind stillen.
Wenn der Arzt bzw. die Ärztin nichts anderes verschreibt, nehmen Sie Nifedipin Sandoz CR 40 retard wie folgt ein:
Die Dosis beträgt gewöhnlich 1 Tablette 1-mal täglich.
Die Tablette soll unzerkaut nach einer Mahlzeit, z.B. Frühstück, mit ausreichender Flüssigkeit eingenommen werden.
Die maximale tägliche Dosis wird vom Arzt oder Ihrer Ärztin für jeden Patienten festgelegt, wobei diese Dosis 2 Tabletten (80 mg) nicht überschreiten soll.
Ändern Sie nicht von sich aus die verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin oder Apothekerin.
Folgende Nebenwirkungen können bei der Einnahme von Nifedipin Sandoz CR 40 auftreten:
Zu Beginn der Behandlung können gelegentlich leichte Kopfschmerzen, Gesichtsrötung, Wärmegefühl und geschwollene Knöchel (Wasseransammlung) auftreten. Es wurde auch häufig über Verstopfung, Unwohlsein und Müdigkeit, Hautreaktionen (Hautrötung, Juckreiz), unspezifische Schmerzen, Herzklopfen, Erhöhung der Pulsfrequenz, Zittern und eine Mehrausscheidung der täglichen und nächtlichen Urinmengen berichtet.
Nervosität, Migräne, Schwindel, niedriger Blutdruck, Nasenbluten, Blähungen, Krämpfe in den Beinen, Schlafstörungen, Angstzustände, vorübergehende Änderung der optischen Wahrnehmung, Mundtrockenheit, Magen-Darm-Störung (Übelkeit, Erbrechen), Unterleibschmerzen und allergische Reaktionen (Fieber, Schwellung des Kehlkopfes) können gelegentlich auftreten.
Die meisten dieser Beschwerden verschwinden jedoch im Verlauf der Behandlung, wenn Ihr Körper sich an das Arzneimittel gewöhnt hat.
Selten kann es auch zu einem Kribbeln in Händen und Füssen, zu Schmerzen im Brustbereich und zu Zahnfleischveränderungen kommen.
Selten kommt es bei Diabetespatienten zu einer Unterzuckerung.
Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt, bzw. Ihre Ärztin, wenn Sie solche Nebenwirkungen beobachten.
Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt, Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin informieren.
Der Wirkstoff der Nifedipin Sandoz CR 40 Tablette ist von einer Tablettenhülle umgeben, die nicht resorbiert wird. Aus dieser Hülle wird der für den Körper resorbierbare Wirkstoff nach und nach freigegeben. Sobald dieser Vorgang beendet ist, wird die leere Tablettenhülle aus dem Körper ausgeschieden und kann möglicherweise im Stuhl bemerkt werden.
Das Arzneimittel ist ausser Reichweite von Kindern aufzubewahren.
Das Arzneimittel ist bei Raumtemperatur (15-25 °C), vor Licht und Feuchtigkeit geschützt, aufzubewahren.
Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf dem Behälter mit «EXP» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden.
Weitere Auskünfte erteilt Ihnen Ihr Arzt, Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin. Diese Personen verfügen über die ausführliche Fachinformation.
