Oceral Vaginaltabletten enthalten als Wirkstoff Oxiconazol. Oxiconazol ist gegen zahlreiche krankmachende Pilzarten des Menschen wirksam, wie z.B. gegen Hefepilze der Gattung Candida, welche Hauptverursacher von Scheidenentzündungen (Vaginitis) sind, sowie auch gegen gewisse Bakterien. Oceral Vaginaltabletten werden zur Behandlung von scheideninfektionen mit Pilzen oder Bakterien verwendet.
Das Arzneimittel darf nur auf Verschreibung und unter Kontrolle eines Arztes oder einer Ärztin angewendet werden.
Die Scheideninfektion kann nur richtig behandelt werden, wenn Sie sich genau an die Vorschriften Ihres behandelnden Arztes oder Ihrer behandelnden Ärztin halten.
Scheideninfektionen, sind übertragbare Erkrankungen.
Sie sollten deshalb während der Dauer der Erkrankung Hygienemassnahmen wie regelmässiges Waschen beachten und Unterwäsche, Handtücher und Waschlappen täglich wechseln.
Während der Behandlung mit Oceral Vaginaltabletten sind Scheidenpülungen zu unterlassen.
Vergessen Sie nicht, dass dieses Arzneimittel zur Behandlung Ihrer gegenwärtigen Erkrankung von Ihrem Arzt oder Ihrer Ärztin verschrieben wurde. Es darf nicht für die Behandlung anderer Erkrankungen verwendet werden.
Falls Sie auf Oxiconazol oder andere Imidazol-Derivate allergisch (überempfindlich) sind, sollten Sie dies Ihrem Arzt oder Ihrer Ärztin mitteilen. In diesem Fall sollten Sie das Präparat nicht anwenden.
Gleichzeitiger Gebrauch von Diaphragmen oder Präservativen zur Empfängnisverhütung mit Oceral Vaginaltabletten ist zu vermeiden, da einerseits die Oberfläche des Diaphragmas verändert sowie die Reissfestigkeit von Präservativen herabgesetzt und andererseits die heilende Wirkung der OceralVaginaltabletten beeinträchtigt werden könnte.
Die Scheidenentzündung verursacht im allgemeinen Beschwerden wie Juckreiz, Brennen und Ausfluss. In seltenen Fällen können unter Anwendung von Oceral Vaginaltabletten die Reizerscheinungen vorübergehend zunehmen.
Bei Auftreten von stärkeren Beschwerden ist der Arzt oder die Ärztin unverzüglich aufzusuchen.
Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin, wenn Sie an anderen Krankheiten leiden, Allergien haben oder andere Arzneimittel (auch selbst gekaufte!) einnehmen oder äusserlich anwenden!
Grundsätzlich dürfen die Oceral Vaginaltabletten während der Schwangerschaft nur auf ärztliche Verordnung angewendet werden.
In der Stillzeit sollten sie nicht angewendet werden.
Wenn vom Arzt bzw. der Ärztin nicht anders verordnet, soll die Oceral Vaginaltablette am Abend beim Zubettgehen tief in die Scheide eingeführt werden, am besten in Rückenlage.
In den meisten Fällen genügt eine Ein-Dosis-Behandlung. Bei Bedarf kann Ihr Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin anschliessend eine zweite Behandlung verordnen.
Die Behandlung sollte nicht während der Menstruation durchgeführt werden.
Wenn gleichzeitig eine Infektion des Scheideneingangs besteht, wird Ihr Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin empfehlen, auf die erkrankten Hautstellen Oceral Creme aufzutragen und einzureiben.
Bei gleichzeitiger Erkrankung des Partners oder zur Vorbeugung einer Infektion bei diesem sollten Eichel und Vorhaut mit Oceral Creme behandelt werden.
Ändern Sie nicht von sich aus die verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin oder Apothekerin.
Folgende Nebenwirkungen können bei der Anwendung von Oceral Vaginaltabletten auftreten:
Selten Reizerscheinungen und Brennen in der Scheide, vereinzelt auch Hautreaktionen (Nesselsucht und Hautrötung).
Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin informieren.
Wie alle Arzneimittel sollen die Oceral Vaginaltabletten vor Kindern geschützt aufbewahrt werden.
Das Arzneimittel ist bei Raumtemperatur (15?25 °C) in der Originalpackung und vor Licht und Feuchtigkeit geschützt aufzubewahren.
Es darf nur bis zu dem auf dem Behälter mit «EXP» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden.
Sollten Sie Vaginaltabletten besitzen, deren Haltbarkeit abgelaufen ist, bringen Sie diese bitte in Ihre Apotheke zur Vernichtung zurück.
