Olanzapin-Mepha gehört zur Präparate- Gruppe der Neuroleptika.
Olanzapin-Mepha wird zur Behandlung von psychischen Krankheiten angewendet, bei denen das Denken, Fühlen und/oder Handeln beeinträchtigt ist (Schizophrenie). Diese Zustände können Beschwerden wie Halluzinationen (z.B. Hören, Sehen oder Fühlen von Dingen, die nicht wirklich da sind), Wahnvorstellungen, ungewöhnliches Misstrauen sowie emotionalen und sozialen Rückzug verursachen.
Patienten bzw. Patientinnen mit diesen Beschwerden können sich ausserdem depressiv, ängstlich oder angespannt fühlen.
Olanzapin-Mepha kann auch alleine oder zusammen mit Lithium bzw. Valproat angewendet werden zur akuten Behandlung eines Zustands mit übersteigertem Hochgefühl, dem Gefühl ungewöhnliche Energie zu haben, viel weniger Schlaf zu brauchen als gewöhnlich, sehr schnellem Sprechen mit schnell wechselnden Ideen und manchmal starker Reizbarkeit (manische Phase oder bipolare Störung).
Sollte Olanzapin-Mepha bei der akuten Behandlung dieses Zustandes erfolgreich gewesen sein, kann Olanzapin-Mepha auch im weiteren Verlauf als Stimmungsstabilisator, der einem weiteren Auftreten von beeinträchtigenden extremen Stimmungshochs und -tiefs vorbeugt, eingesetzt werden.
Das Präparat darf nur auf Verschreibung des Arztes bzw. der Ärztin angewendet werden.
Bei der Behandlung mit Olanzapin-Mepha kann es mehrere Tage oder Wochen dauern, bis sich eine Besserung des Krankheitszustandes zeigt.
Sollten Sie gegen einen Inhaltsstoff von Olanzapin-Mepha überempfindlich sein, dürfen Sie Olanzapin-Mepha nicht einnehmen. Eine Überempfindlichkeitsreaktion kann sich als Hautausschlag, Juckreiz, Schwellung des Gesichts oder der Lippen oder Atemnot bemerkbar machen. Wenn dies auftritt, sagen Sie es bitte Ihrem Arzt bzw. Ihrer Ärztin.
Sie dürfen Olanzapin-Mepha nicht einnehmen, wenn bei Ihnen früher ein Grüner Star (Engwinkelglaukom) festgestellt wurde.
Olanzapin-Mepha darf bei Patienten bzw. Patientinnen von unter 18 Jahren nicht angewendet werden.
Dieses Arzneimittel kann die Reaktionsfähigkeit, die Fahrtüchtigkeit und die Fähigkeit, Werkzeuge oder Maschinen zu bedienen, beeinträchtigen.
Wie bei anderen Arzneimitteln dieser Stoffklasse kann Olanzapin-Mepha unwillkürliche Bewegungen hauptsächlich des Gesichts oder der Zunge auslösen. Falls dies eintritt, sprechen Sie bitte mit Ihrem Arzt bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin.
Olanzapin-Mepha kann zu einer Gewichtszunahme führen. Sie sollten Ihr Körpergewicht regelmässig kontrollieren und Ihr Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin informieren, besonders wenn Sie an Diabetes, Risikofaktoren für Diabetes oder erhöhte Blutzuckerwerte leiden.
Olanzapin-Mepha kann zu einer Erhöhung der Blutzuckerwerte führen, ebenso kann es zu einer Erhöhung von Blutfetten (Triglyceriden) und Cholesterinwerten führen.
Wenn Sie schon an Krampfanfällen gelitten haben, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin informieren, da unter Olanzapin selten über Krampfanfälle berichtet wurde.
Selten können Arzneimittel dieser Stoffklasse ein Beschwerdebild hervorrufen, bei dem gleichzeitig Fieber, rasches Atmen, Schwitzen, unregelmässiger Puls, Herzklopfen, Muskelsteifheit und Benommenheit/Schläfrigkeit auftreten (malignes neuroleptisches Syndrom). Wenn dies eintritt, nehmen Sie bitte das Arzneimittel nicht weiter ein und benachrichtigen Sie sofort Ihren Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin.
Bei älteren Patienten bzw. Patientinnen mit Demenz wird die Anwendung von Olanzapin-Mepha nicht empfohlen, da schwerwiegende Nebenwirkungen auftreten können.
Wenn Sie an einer der folgenden Krankheiten leiden, sagen Sie es bitte Ihrem Arzt bzw. Ihrer Ärztin, bevor Sie Olanzapin-Mepha einnehmen:
Wenn Sie unter Demenz leiden, sollen Sie oder die für Ihre Pflege zuständige Person/Angehöriger Ihrem Arzt bzw. Ihrer Ärztin mitteilen, ob Sie jemals einen Schlaganfall oder Schlaganfall mit geringgradiger Schädigung hatten.
Falls Sie über 65 Jahre alt sind, sollten Sie, als routinemässige Vorsichtsmassnahme, von Ihrem Arzt bzw. von Ihrer Ärztin den Blutdruck überwachen lassen, da über Blutdruckabfall bei plötzlichem Aufstehen mit Olanzapin berichtet wurde.
Patienten bzw. Patientinnen, die an einer Laktoseunverträglichkeit leiden, sollten berücksichtigen, dass Olanzapin-Mepha Tabletten Laktose enthalten.
Patienten bzw. Patientinnen, welche Phenylalanin nicht einnehmen dürfen, sollten beachten, dass Olanzapin-Mepha oro Schmelztabletten Aspartam, aus welchem Phenylalanin gebildet werden kann, enthält.
Patienten bzw. Patientinnen, welche Mannitol nicht einnehmen dürfen, sollten beachten, dass Olanzapin-Mepha oro Schmelztabletten Mannitol enthält.
Wenn Sie Olanzapin-Mepha plötzlich absetzen, könnten Symptome wie Schwitzen, Schlaflosigkeit, Zittern, Angst, Übelkeit oder Erbrechen auftreten. Daher sollte Olanzapin-Mepha schrittweise abgesetzt werden.
Bitte sagen Sie Ihrem Arzt bzw. Ihrer Ärztin immer, wenn Sie andere Arzneimittel einnehmen, da die gleichzeitige Einnahme einiger Arzneimittel zu schädlichen Wirkungen führen kann. Die gleichzeitige Einnahme der folgenden Arzneimittel zusammen mit Olanzapin-Mepha kann Sie benommen machen: bestimmte Arzneimittel gegen Ängstlichkeit oder Schlafmittel (Tranquilizer), Antidepressiva. Vorsicht ist auch geboten bei gleichzeitiger Einnahme von Olanzapin-Mepha mit gewissen Arzneimitteln gegen Parkinson und Epilepsie. Bitte nehmen Sie solche Arzneimittel nur zusammen mit Olanzapin-Mepha ein, wenn Sie dies mit dem Arzt bzw. mit der Ärztin abgestimmt haben. Auch über Erkrankungen der Leber sollten Sie den Olanzapin-Mepha verordnenden Arzt bzw. Ärztin informieren.
Alkohol: Während der Behandlung mit Olanzapin-Mepha sollten Sie keinen Alkohol trinken.
Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin, wenn Sie an anderen Krankheiten leiden, Allergien haben oder andere Arzneimittel (auch selbstgekaufte!) einnehmen oder äusserlich anwenden!
Bitte teilen Sie Ihrem Arzt bzw. Ihrer Ärztin mit, wenn Sie schwanger sind, annehmen, schwanger zu sein oder eine Schwangerschaft planen. Sie sollten dieses Arzneimittel nicht anwenden, wenn Sie schwanger sind oder stillen, sofern Sie dies nicht mit Ihrem Arzt bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin besprochen haben.
Ihr Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin wird Ihnen sagen, wie viele Olanzapin-Mepha Tabletten resp. Olanzapin-Mepha oro Schmelztabletten Sie einnehmen und wie lange Sie die Einnahme fortführen sollen. Die Tagesdosis liegt im Allgemeinen zwischen 5 und 20 mg.
Olanzapin-Mepha sollte einmal täglich entsprechend den Anweisungen Ihres Arztes bzw. Ihrer Ärztin eingenommen werden. Versuchen Sie, das Arzneimittel immer zur gleichen Tageszeit einzunehmen. Es ist nicht wichtig, ob Sie es zusammen mit einer Mahlzeit oder unabhängig davon einnehmen.
Bitte schlucken Sie Olanzapin-Mepha Tabletten unzerkaut mit etwas Wasser.
Olanzapin-Mepha oro Schmelztabletten zerbrechen leicht, daher sollten Sie die Tabletten vorsichtig handhaben. Berühren Sie die Tabletten nicht mit feuchten Händen, da sie dabei leicht abbrechen könnten.
1. Halten Sie den Blisterstreifen an den Rändern und trennen Sie eine Blisterecke vom Rest des Streifens, indem Sie vorsichtig die Perforation aufreissen.
2. Ziehen Sie sorgfältig die Rückseite ab.
3. Drücken Sie behutsam die Tablette heraus.
4. Nehmen Sie die Tablette in den Mund, Sie wird sich direkt im Mund lösen, so dass sie leicht geschluckt werden kann.
Sie können die Tablette auch in einem Glas oder einer Tasse mit Wasser, Orangensaft, Apfelsaft, Milch oder Kaffee lösen. Bei einigen Getränken ändert sich beim Umrühren die Farbe nach Gelb, möglicherweise werden sie trüb. Trinken Sie diese gleich.
Ändern Sie nicht von sich aus die verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin oder Apothekerin.
Olanzapin-Mepha soll nicht von Patienten bzw. Patientinnen eingenommen werden, die jünger als 18 Jahre sind.
Haben Sie die Einnahme einmal vergessen
Wenn Sie einmal vergessen haben, Ihr Arzneimittel einzunehmen, nehmen Sie eine Tablette, sobald Sie sich daran erinnern.
Nehmen Sie jedoch nicht zwei Tabletten an einem Tag.
Haben Sie mehr Olanzapin-Mepha Tabletten eingenommen als Ihnen Ihr Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin verordnet hatte (oder hat jemand anderes Ihre Olanzapin-Mepha Tabletten eingenommen), benachrichtigen Sie bitte umgehend Ihren Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder das Krankenhaus. Zeigen Sie dem Arzt bzw. der Ärztin die Tablettenschachtel.
Folgende Nebenwirkungen können bei der Einnahme oder Anwendung von Olanzapin-Mepha auftreten:
Sehr häufig: Gewichtszunahme von mehr als 7% ? bei Langzeitgabe von mehr als 25% ? des Körpergewichtes, Schläfrigkeit, orthostatische Hypotonie (Blutdruckabfall, insbesondere beim Aufstehen aus liegender oder sitzender Position), Erhöhung der Prolaktinwerte. Durch die Erhöhung der Prolaktinwerte kann bei Frauen ein Milchfluss, ein Ausbleiben der monatlichen Regel oder eine Veränderung in der Regelmässigkeit der Monatsblutung oder eine Brustvergrösserung eintreten. Erektile Dysfunktion und verminderte Libido wurden auch häufig beobachtet. Wenn dies auftritt, sagen Sie es bitte Ihrem Arzt bzw. Ihrer Ärztin.
Häufig: Blutbildveränderungen (wie Verminderung der weissen/roten Blutkörperchen. Falls es der Arzt bzw. die Ärztin als notwendig erachtet, wird er bzw. sie bei Ihnen Blutuntersuchungen durchführen), Zunahme des Appetits, erhöhte Blutzuckerwerte, Erhöhung von Blutfetten (Triglyceriden) und Cholesterinwerten, Auftreten von Zucker im Urin (Glukosurie), Schwindelgefühl, ungewöhnliche Bewegungen, Parkinsonsche Krankheit, Unbeweglichkeit, Verstopfung, Mundtrockenheit, Erhöhung bestimmter Leberwerte, Gelenkschmerzen, Ausschlag, Müdigkeit, Wassereinlagerung im Gewebe (Ödeme), Fieber.
Gelegentlich: allergische Reaktionen, Auftreten oder Verschlechterung eines Diabetes, Krampfanfälle (in den meisten Fällen, wobei Krampfanfälle (Epilepsie) in der Vorgeschichte berichtet wurden), Nasenbluten, Blähungen, Gedächtnisstörungen, Lichtempfindlichkeit (kann dazu führen, dass Sie empfindlich gegen Sonnenlicht werden. In diesem Fall sollten Sie sich vor starker Sonneneinstrahlung angemessen schützen), Haarausfall, Harninkontinenz, Schwierigkeiten beim Harnlösen, Harnverhalt.
Gelegentlich kommt es zu Herzrhythmusstörungen, welche in seltenen Fällen schwerwiegend sein können und sehr selten zu plötzlichem Herztod geführt haben. Deshalb ist Vorsicht geboten, wenn Olanzapin bei Patienten bzw. Patientinnen mit vorbestehenden Herzerkrankungen, Kalium- oder Magnesiummangel im Blut oder zusammen mit Arzneimitteln, die den Herzrhythmus verändern können, insbesondere bei älteren Patienten oder Patientinnen, verschrieben wird.
Selten: Blutgerinnsel, Leberentzündung (Hepatitis) und Gelbsucht, verlängerte und/oder schmerzhafte Erektion. Muskelerkrankung, die durch unerklärliche Muskelbeschwerden und Schmerzen zum Ausdruck kommt.
Bei älteren Patienten bzw. Patientinnen mit Demenz kann es bei der Einnahme von Olanzapin zu Schlaganfall, Lungenentzündung, Harninkontinenz, Stürzen, extremer Müdigkeit, visuellen Halluzinationen, einer Erhöhung der Körpertemperatur, Hautrötung und Schwierigkeiten beim Gehen kommen. In dieser speziellen Patientengruppe wurden damit zusammenhängend einige Todesfälle berichtet. Bei Patienten bzw. Patientinnen mit Parkinsonscher Krankheit kann Olanzapin-Mepha die Symptome verschlechtern.
Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin informieren.
Zu Beginn der Einnahme von Olanzapin-Mepha besteht die Gefahr der Benommenheit. Wenn dies eintritt, nehmen Sie bitte nicht aktiv am Strassenverkehr teil, bedienen Sie keine Maschinen und sagen Sie es Ihrem Arzt bzw. Ihrer Ärztin.
Olanzapin-Mepha Tabletten und Schmelztabletten sind trocken in der Originalpackung und bei Raumtemperatur (15?25 °C) zu lagern.
Arzneimittel sind für Kinder unerreichbar aufzubewahren.
Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf dem Behälter mit «EXP» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden.
Weitere Auskünfte erteilt Ihnen Ihr Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin. Diese Personen verfügen über die ausführliche Fachinformation.
1 Tablette Olanzapin-Mepha enthält als Wirkstoff 2,5 mg, 5 mg, 7,5 mg, 10 mg, 15 mg bzw. 20 mg Olanzapin und Hilfsstoffe. Die Tabletten enthalten Laktose.
1 Schmelztablette Olanzapin-Mepha oro enthält 5 mg, 7,5 mg, 10 mg, 15 mg bzw. 20 mg des Wirkstoffes Olanzapin. Olanzapin-Mepha oro Schmelztablette enthält ausserdem die Hilfsstoffe: Aspartam (E 951), Mannitol (E 421) sowie weitere Hilfsstoffe.
