Olbas Öl ist ein pflanzliches Arzneimittel, zusammengesetzt aus 3 verschiedenen ätherischen Ölen.
Olbas Öl eignet sich zum Inhalieren und zum Einreiben. Es wird bei Erkältung mit Schnupfen, Katarrh, Halsweh und Husten angewendet.
Nicht anwenden bei
bekannter Überempfindlichkeit auf ätherische Öle oder auf einen der Inhaltsstoffe (siehe Zusammensetzung);
Säuglingen und Kindern unter 3 Jahren;
Überempfindlichkeit gegenüber schmerz- und entzündungshemmenden Substanzen (insb. Salicylsäureverbindungen, Aspirin).
Patienten mit Neigung zu allergischen Reaktionen auf ätherische Öle oder mit Asthma bronchiale dürfen Olbas Öl nur nach Rücksprache mit Ihrem Arzt bzw. Ihrer Ärztin anwenden.
Nur auf unverletzter Haut, nicht auf Schleimhäuten anwenden.
Nicht ins Gesicht, besonders nicht in der Nähe der Augen auftragen.
Bei Patienten mit vorgeschädigten Nieren darf Olbas Öl nur kurzfristig und nicht grossflächig angewendet werden.
Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin, wenn Sie an anderen Krankheiten leiden, Allergien haben oder andere Arzneimittel (auch selbstgekaufte!) einnehmen oder äusserlich anwenden.
Während der Schwangerschaft und Stillzeit darf Olbas Öl nicht angewendet werden, es sei denn kurzfristig, nicht grossflächig und nur auf ärztliche Verschreibung.
Trockene Inhalation: Wenige (1?3) Tropfen auf ein sauberes Taschentuch spritzen und einatmen.
Feuchte Inhalation: 3?5 Tropfen Olbas Öl in ein Becken heisses Wasser geben und die Dämpfe inhalieren. Sobald sich das Öl verflüchtigt hat, wiederum 3?5 Tropfen dem Wasser zugeben. Diese Wasserdampfinhalation soll maximal 10 Minuten dauern. Nach der Behandlung an der Wärme bleiben!
Einreibung auf Hals und Brust: bis 5-mal täglich mit Olbas Öl (10?20 Tropfen) einreiben und warm zudecken. Nach Anwendung Hände gut waschen. Augen und Schleimhäute sollen nicht mit dem Präparat in Berührung kommen.
Die Anwendung und Sicherheit von Olbas Öl wurde bei Kindern und Jugendlichen nicht geprüft.
Halten Sie sich an die in der Packungsbeilage angegebene oder vom Arzt oder der Ärztin verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu stark oder zu schwach, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogist bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin.
Bei Auftreten von schmerzhaften, juckenden und entzündlichen Hautveränderungen ist die Behandlung abzubrechen und gegebenenfalls ein Arzt aufzusuchen.
Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin informieren.
Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf dem Behälter mit «EXP» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden.
Bei Raumtemperatur und für Kinder unzugänglich aufbewahren.
