Solcoseryl Gel und Salbe enthalten als Wirkstoff ein Dialysat aus Kälberblut. Solcoseryl Gel und Salbe fördern die Wundheilung.
Solcoseryl Gel ist fettfrei und abwaschbar. Es fördert die Reinigung von nässenden und schmierig belegten Wunden und beschleunigt die Heilung. Das Gel wird angewandt bei kleineren Verletzungen wie Schürfungen, kleinen Schnitt- und Kratzwunden (Bagatellverletzungen), leichten Verbrennungen (1. und 2. Grades, z.B. Sonnenbrand, Verbrühungen) und Frostbeulen (Pernionen). Ausschliesslich auf Anweisung des Arztes kann Solcoseryl Gel bei offenen Beinen (venöses Ulcus cruris) eingesetzt werden.
Solcoseryl Salbe ist fetthaltig und bildet einen Schutzfilm auf der Wunde. Sie fördert die Heilung vor allem von trockenen (nicht nässenden) Wunden. Sie wird angewandt bei kleineren Verletzungen wie Schürfungen, kleinen Schnitt- und Kratzwunden (Bagatellverletzungen), leichten Verbrennungen (1. und 2. Grades, z.B. Sonnenbrand, Verbrühungen) und Frostbeulen (Pernionen). Ausschliesslich auf Anweisung des Arztes kann Solcoseryl Gel bei offenen Beinen (venöses Ulcus cruris) eingesetzt werden.
Bei bekannter Überempfindlichkeit gegenüber dem Wirkstoff oder einem der Hilfsstoffe gemäss Zusammensetzung soll das Präparat nicht angewendet werden (s. «Was ist in Solcoseryl enthalten?»).
Tritt eine lokale Verschlechterung auf (Schmerzen, Rötung der umgebenden Haut, eitrige Wundsekrete, Fieber) oder bleibt eine Heilung innerhalb von 2?3 Wochen aus, so ist ein Arzt oder eine Ärztin aufzusuchen.

Auf Grund der bisherigen Erfahrungen ist bei bestimmungsgemässer Anwendung kein Risiko für das Kind bekannt. Systematische wissenschaftliche Untersuchungen wurden aber nie durchgeführt. Vorsichtshalber sollten Sie während der Schwangerschaft und Stillzeit möglichst auf Arzneimittel verzichten oder den Arzt oder den Apotheker bzw. die Ärztin oder die Apothekerin um Rat fragen.
Sofern vom Arzt bzw. Ärztin nicht anders verordnet:
Solcoseryl Gel: 2 mal täglich dünn auftragen. Nässende und frische Schürfwunden sollen mit einer sauberen Wundgaze abgetupft oder mit einer Desinfektionslösung gereinigt werden.
Behandlungsdauer: bis zur Neubildung von frischem Hautgewebe.
Solcoseryl Salbe: 2 mal täglich dünn auftragen.
Behandlungsdauer: bis zur vollständigen Heilung der Wunde und zur Bildung eines elastischen Narbengewebes.
Bei Kindern sollte bevorzugt Solcoseryl Gel mite oder Solcoseryl Salbe angewendet werden.
Halten Sie sich an die in der Packungsbeilage angegebene oder vom Arzt oder der Ärztin verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin oder Apothekerin.
Folgende Nebenwirkungen können bei der Anwendung von Solcoseryl Gel/Salbe auftreten:
In sehr seltenen Fällen Überempfindlichkeitsreaktionen.
Wenn Sie aussergewöhnliche Hautreaktionen feststellen, so brechen Sie die Behandlung mit Solcoseryl Gel/Salbe ab und informieren Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin.
Nach dem Auftragen von Solcoseryl Gel kann für kurze Zeit ein unangenehmes Brennen auftreten. Bei anhaltendem Brennen muss das Präparat abgesetzt werden.
Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin informieren.
Nicht über 30 °C und für Kinder unzugänglich aufbewahren.
Nach dem ersten Öffnen 28 Tage bei Raumtemperatur (15-25 °C) haltbar.
Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf dem Behälter mit «EXP» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden.
