  • TobraDex Augentropfen mit den Wirkstoffen Tobramycin (Antibiotikum) und Dexamethason (Glukokortikoid mit entzündungshemmender Wirkung) sind zur Behandlung gewisser Augenentzündungen mit gleichzeitiger bakterieller Augeninfektion bestimmt.
  • TobraDex Augentropfen sind verschärft rezeptpflichtig und dürfen nur auf Verschreibung des Arztes oder der Ärztin verwendet werden.
+-Was sollte dazu beachtet werden?
  • Während der gesamten Behandlungsdauer mit TobraDex Augentropfen sind regelmässige Kontrollen Ihrer Augen durch den Arzt bzw. die Ärztin erforderlich.
  • Das in TobraDex Augentropfen enthaltene Antibiotikum (Tobramycin) ist nicht gegen alle Mikroorganismen wirksam, welche Infektionen am Auge verursachen. Die Anwendung eines falsch gewählten oder nicht richtig dosierten Antibiotikums kann Komplikationen verursachen. Wenden Sie das Arzneimittel deshalb nie von sich aus für die Behandlung anderer Erkrankungen oder anderer Personen an. Auch bei späteren neuen Infektionen dürfen Sie TobraDex Augentropfen nicht ohne erneute ärztliche Konsultation anwenden.

Kontaktlinsenträger

Tragen Sie während der Behandlung mit TobraDex Augentropfen keine Kontaktlinsen, sondern verwenden Sie Ihre Brille.

+-Wann dürfen TobraDex Augentropfen nicht angewendet werden?

In folgenden Fällen dürfen TobraDex Augentropfen nicht verwendet werden:

  • bei einer bekannten oder vermuteten Überempfindlichkeit (Allergie) auf einen Inhaltsstoff von TobraDex Augentropfen
  • bei Glaukom (Grüner Star)
  • bei Augeninfektionen, die nicht mit einem Antibiotikum behandelt werden können, z.B. bei gewissen Viruserkrankungen der Hornhaut und der Bindehaut
  • bei Augentuberkulose
  • bei Geschwüren oder Verletzungen der Hornhaut
  • bei Pilzerkrankungen (Mykosen) des Auges
+-Wann ist bei der Anwendung von TobraDex Augentropfen Vorsicht geboten?
  • Bei längerer Anwendung von TobraDex Augentropfen besteht das Risiko einer Pilzinfektion
  • Bei eitrigen Augeninfektionen
  • Wenn gleichzeitig TobraDex Augentropfen und pupillenerweiternde Arzneimittel angewendet werden, ist Vorsicht geboten, da unter diesen Umständen eine Erhöhung des Augeninnendruckes nicht auszuschliessen ist
  • Die Anwendung und Sicherheit von Tobradex Augentropfen bei Kindern und Jugendlichen ist bisher nicht geprüft worden. Daher wird die Anwendung von Tobradex Augentropfen bei Kindern und Jugendlichen nicht empfohlen.

Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin, wenn Sie an anderen Krankheiten leiden, Allergien haben oder andere Arzneimittel (auch selbstgekaufte!) einnehmen oder am Auge anwenden.

+-Darf TobraDex Augentropfen während einer Schwangerschaft oder in der Stillzeit angewendet werden?
  • Wenn Sie schwanger sind oder es werden möchten, dürfen Sie TobraDex Augentropfen nur mit ausdrücklicher Genehmigung Ihres Arztes bzw. Ihrer Ärztin anwenden.
  • Ebenso sind TobraDex Augentropfen während der Stillzeit nur mit ausdrücklicher Genehmigung Ihres Arztes bzw. Ihrer Ärztin anzuwenden.
+-Wie verwenden Sie TobraDex Augentropfen?

Dosierung/Anwendung

Erwachsene:

Die Dosierung wird vom Augenarzt für jeden Patienten bzw. jede Patientin individuell bestimmt. Halten Sie sich in jedem Fall an die von Ihrem Arzt bzw. Ihrer Ärztin für Sie festgelegte Dosierung. Weder die tägliche Dosis noch die Therapiedauer dürfen ohne Rücksprache mit Ihrem Arzt bzw. Ihrer Ärztin geändert werden. Zudem darf die Behandlung ohne Anweisung Ihres Arztes bzw. Ihrer Ärztin nicht unterbrochen werden.

Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin oder Apothekerin.

Als Zusatzbehandlung zu TobraDex Augentropfen kann der Arzt bzw. die Ärztin TobraDex Augensalbe verschreiben (TobraDex Augensalbe wird vorzugsweise als Nachtbehandlung kurz vor dem Schlafengehen angewendet).

Kinder und Jugendliche:

Die Anwendung und Sicherheit von Tobradex Augentropfen bei Kindern und Jugendlichen ist bisher nicht geprüft worden.

+-Welche Nebenwirkungen können TobraDex Augentropfen haben?

Folgende Nebenwirkungen können bei der Anwendung von TobraDex Augentropfen auftreten:

  • Leichtes, vorübergehendes Brennen nach dem Einträufeln der Augentropfen.
  • In seltenen Fällen kann die Anwendung von TobraDex Augentropfen folgende Nebenwirkungen verursachen: Erhöhung des Augeninnendrucks, Bildung des grauen Stars, verzögerte Wundheilung, allergische Reaktionen (z.B. Lidjucken oder -schwellung), Veränderung der Sehschärfe und des Gesichtsfeldes. Beim Auftreten solcher Erscheinungen ist sofort Ihr Augenarzt bzw. Ihre Augenärztin zu konsultieren.
  • In Augenpräparaten enthaltene Wirkstoffe können in den Blutkreislauf gelangen. Nebenwirkungen können deshalb ausser am Auge auch an anderen Teilen des Körpers auftreten. Falls irgendwelche Nebenwirkungen auftreten, von denen Sie einen Zusammenhang mit der Anwendung von TobraDex Augentropfen vermuten, sollten Sie unverzüglich Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin konsultieren.

+-Was ist ferner zu beachten?

Hinweis zur Anwendung

Flasche vor Gebrauch gut schütteln. Um eine mögliche mikrobielle Verunreinigung (Kontamination) der Augentropfen zu vermeiden, darf die Tropferspitze der Flasche weder mit Ihren Händen noch mit dem Auge oder irgendwelchen Gegenständen in Berührung kommen. Flasche nach Gebrauch sofort verschliessen und immer gut verschlossen halten.

Haltbarkeit

Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf dem Behälter mit «Verwendbar bis» bezeichneten Verfalldatum angewendet werden. Der Inhalt darf nach Anbruch der Flasche nicht länger als 30 Tage angewendet werden.

Aufbewahrung/Lagerung

Flasche in der Originalpackung bei Raumtemperatur (15-25 °C) ausserhalb der Reichweite von Kindern aufbewahren.

Nach der Behandlung

Bitte bringen Sie nach Beendigung der Behandlung das Arzneimittel mit dem restlichen Inhalt Ihrer Abgabestelle (Arzt oder Apotheke bzw. Ärztin oder Apothekerin) zur fachgerechten Entsorgung.
