+-Was ist Ventolin Dosier-Aerosol und wann wird es angewendet?

Ventolin Dosier-Aerosol wirkt krampflösend auf die Bronchialmuskulatur und wird zur Vorbeugung und Behandlung akuter Atemnot bei Asthma, chronischer Bronchitis mit oder ohne Lungenblähung verwendet.

Durch Inhalation gelangt der Wirkstoff direkt in die Lungen und die Wirkung setzt rasch ein.

Ventolin Dosier-Aerosol soll nur auf Verschreibung des Arztes bzw. der Ärztin hin angewendet werden.

+-Wann darf Ventolin Dosier-Aerosol nicht angewendet werden?

Bei Überempfindlichkeit gegenüber einem Bestandteil von Ventolin Dosier-Aerosol und wenn Sie gleichzeitig gewisse Arzneimittel gegen Herzkrankheiten (so genannte nicht-selektive Betablocker, wie z.B. Propranolol) einnehmen, darf Ventolin Dosier-Aerosol nicht angewendet werden.

+-Wann ist bei der Anwendung von Ventolin Dosier-Aerosol Vorsicht geboten?

Die entspannende Wirkung auf die Bronchialmuskulatur dauert üblicherweise 4 Stunden. Sollte die Wirkung der verschriebenen Dosierung weniger als 3 Stunden anhalten, so sollten Sie keinesfalls die Dosis erhöhen, sondern dies Ihrem Arzt bzw. Ihrer Ärztin mitteilen, damit diese nötigenfalls zusätzliche Massnahmen einleiten.

Bei gleichzeitiger Verabreichung von Ventolin mit anderen Arzneimitteln können sich deren Wirkungen gegenseitig beeinflussen. Das betrifft z.B. harntreibende Arzneimittel und solche zur Behandlung von Schilddrüsenerkrankungen, Schüttellähmung (Parkinson-Krankheit), gewissen Herzkrankheiten (Herzschwäche, Störungen des Herzrhythmus), Rheuma- und Entzündungskrankheiten und Zuckerkrankheit (Diabetes). Ihr Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin weiss, welche Vorsichtsmassnahmen Sie beachten müssen, wenn Sie eines oder mehrere dieser Arzneimittel zusammen mit Ventolin einnehmen müssen.

Wichtig bei der Behandlung von Atemnot, die plötzlich auftritt oder sich rasch verschlimmert:

Wenn zusätzliche Inhalationen die Atemnot nicht eindeutig bessern, dürfen Sie nicht zögern, sofort den Arzt bzw. die Ärztin oder das nächste Spital aufzusuchen.

Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin, wenn Sie

  • an anderen Krankheiten leiden (Überfunktion der Schilddrüse, Diabetes, Bluthochdruck oder andere Herz-/Kreislauferkrankungen),
  • Allergien haben oder
  • andere Arzneimittel (auch selbstgekaufte!) einnehmen oder äusserlich anwenden; vor allem solche, die zu einer der oben aufgezählten Gruppen gehören.
+-Darf Ventolin Dosier-Aerosol während einer Schwangerschaft oder in der Stillzeit angewendet werden?

Wenn Sie schwanger sind oder es werden möchten, dürfen Sie Ventolin Dosier-Aerosol nur nach Rücksprache mit dem Arzt bzw. der Ärztin anwenden, ebenso, wenn Sie Ihr Kind stillen.

+-Wie verwenden Sie Ventolin Dosier-Aerosol?

Der beste Erfolg wird durch eine korrekte Anwendung erzielt. Bitte lesen Sie die Gebrauchsanweisung vor der ersten Anwendung genau durch, eine korrekte Anwendung ist sehr wichtig.

Der Arzt bzw. die Ärztin verschreibt Ihnen eine dem Schweregrad der Krankheit angepasste Dosierung.

Falls der Arzt bzw. die Ärztin es nicht anders verordnet, gelten folgende Dosierungsrichtlinien:

Erwachsene und Kinder über 12 Jahre: Bei einem Anfall akuter Atemnot werden 1?2 Aerosolstösse und zur Vorbeugung von Anstrengungsasthma 2 Stösse vor der körperlichen Betätigung inhaliert. Zur Langzeitbehandlung werden 2 Aerosolstösse 3- bis 4-mal täglich inhaliert. Werden mehr als 8-mal täglich 2 Stösse benötigt, sollten Sie dies Ihrem Arzt bzw. Ihrer Ärztin mitteilen.

Kinder 4-12 Jahre: Das Dosier-Aerosol ist unter Aufsicht eines Erwachsenen anzuwenden. Bei einem Anfall akuter Atemnot wird 1 Aerosolstoss und zur Vorbeugung von Anstrengungsasthma 1 Stoss vor der körperlichen Betätigung inhaliert. Zur Langzeitbehandlung wird 1 Aerosolstoss 3- bis 4-mal täglich inhaliert. Falls erforderlich, kann der Arzt bzw. die Ärztin die Einzeldosis auf 2 Aerosolstösse erhöhen. Werden mehr als 8 Aerosolstösse täglich benötigt, sollte dies dem Arzt bzw. der Ärztin mitgeteilt werden.

Ventolin ist zu hoch dosiert, wenn Herzklopfen oder Zittern der Hände auftreten. Im Allgemeinen verschwinden diese unerwünschten Wirkungen innerhalb weniger Stunden. Im Falle einer starken Überdosierung sollten Sie dies Ihrem Arzt bzw. Ihrer Ärztin mitteilen.

Ändern Sie nicht von sich aus die verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin oder Apothekerin.

Gebrauchsanweisung:

1. Deckel vom Mundstück entfernen und darauf achten, dass keine losen Partikel auf der Innen- und Aussenseite des Dosier-Aerosols (einschliesslich Mundstück) vorhanden sind.

Dann das Dosier-Aerosol gut durchschütteln, damit alle losen Partikel entfernt werden und der Inhalt gut gemischt wird (Abb. 1).

Vor dem allerersten Gebrauch und ebenso, wenn das Dosier-Aerosol länger als eine Woche nicht benutzt worden ist, müssen 2 Aerosolstösse (bei Erstgebrauch) bzw. 1 Aerosolstoss (bei weiterem Gebrauch) in die Luft abgegeben werden, bevor das Dosier-Aerosol einsatzbereit ist.

2. Dosier-Aerosol aufrecht und mit dem Mundstück nach unten halten. Langsam und vollständig ausatmen (Abb. 2) und anschliessend das Mundstück sofort ...

3. ... in den Mund nehmen und mit den Lippen fest umschliessen. Ruhig einatmen und gleich nach Beginn des Einatmens Zeigefinger und Daumen fest gegeneinander drücken, so dass eine Wirkstoffdosis freigesetzt wird (Abb. 3).

Während dieses Vorganges weiter ruhig und tief einatmen, damit die Wirksubstanz tief in den Bronchialbaum eindringen kann (Abb. 4). Am Ende des Einatmens Mundstück aus dem Mund nehmen und den Atem so lange wie möglich anhalten. Dann ruhig ausatmen.

Wichtig: Die Schritte 2 und 3 dürfen nicht in Eile ausgeführt werden. Es ist wichtig, mit dem Einatmen erst kurz vor der Freisetzung der Wirkstoffdosis zu beginnen und so langsam als möglich einzuatmen.

4. Ist ein zweiter Aerosolstoss zu inhalieren, Dosier-Aerosol weiterhin aufrecht halten und nach einer halben Minute Wartezeit denselben Vorgang wiederholen. Nach Gebrauch Deckel wieder auf das Mundstück aufsetzen bis er einrastet.

5. Reinigung des Dosier-Aerosols:

Das Dosier-Aerosol mindestens einmal wöchentlich reinigen. Zur Reinigung Metallbehälter aus dem Kunststoffgehäuse herausziehen. Deckel und Kunststoffgehäuse getrennt mit warmem Wasser spülen und an einem warmen Ort vollständig trocknen lassen (Hitze vermeiden). Anschliessend Metallbehälter wieder in das Kunststoffgehäuse einsetzen und Deckel aufsetzen.

Metallbehälter niemals mit Wasser spülen oder ins Wasser legen.

Falls Sie Mühe mit dem gleichzeitigen Einatmen und Drücken des Dosier-Aerosols haben, kann Ihnen der Arzt bzw. die Ärztin als Hilfe eine Vorschaltkammer verschreiben.

Anwendung bei Kindern:

Die Anwendung sollte unter Aufsicht eines Erwachsenen erfolgen. Das Dosier-Aerosol kann auch mit beiden Händen gehalten werden (Abb. 5).

Kinder unter 6 Jahren können das Dosier-Aerosol meist nicht korrekt handhaben. Sollte Ihr Kind mit der Anwendung Probleme haben, kann Ihnen der Arzt bzw. die Ärztin eine andere Verabreichungsform (z.B. Ventolin Diskus oder eine Vorschaltkammer) verschreiben.

+-Welche Nebenwirkungen kann Ventolin Dosier-Aerosol haben?

Folgende Nebenwirkungen können bei der Anwendung von Ventolin Dosier-Aerosol auftreten:

selten können ein leichtes Zittern (vor allem der Hände), Herzklopfen oder Kopfschmerzen sowie Reizungen der Mund- und Rachenschleimhaut, in sehr seltenen Fällen vorübergehende Muskelkrämpfe auftreten. Diese unerwünschten Wirkungen verschwinden im Allgemeinen bei regelmässiger Anwendung.

Informieren Sie den Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin über das Auftreten solcher Nebenwirkungen, ohne jedoch die Behandlung vorzeitig abzubrechen.

Bei Kindern kann es gelegentlich zu Erregung kommen.

Auch über Herzrhythmusstörungen (Herzstolpern, Pulsbeschleunigung, vor allem bei hierfür anfälligen Personen), Nervosität, Appetitzunahme, Magen-Darm-Beschwerden (wie Übelkeit und Erbrechen), Unwohlsein, Schwindel, Engegefühl auf der Brust, Müdigkeit (aber auch Schlaflosigkeit), Reizbarkeit, verstärktes Schwitzen und Probleme beim Wasserlassen ist vereinzelt berichtet worden.

In sehr seltenen Fällen können Überempfindlichkeitsreaktionen, wie z.B. Hautausschläge, Schwellungen der Lippen und Augenlider, akute Atemnot und Kreislaufprobleme auftreten. In diesen Fällen sollten Sie den Arzt bzw. die Ärztin sofort benachrichtigen, ebenfalls, wenn kurz nach Gebrauch von Ventolin eine plötzliche Verschlechterung der Atembeschwerden auftritt.

Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker, bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin informieren.

+-Was ist ferner zu beachten?

Ventolin Dosier-Aerosol ist nicht über 30 °C, vor Frost und direkter Sonnenbestrahlung geschützt und ausser Reichweite von Kindern aufzubewahren.

Sollte der Behälter des Dosier-Aerosols vor der Anwendung sehr kalt sein, können Sie das Kunststoffgehäuse entfernen und den Metallbehälter einige Minuten lang in Ihren Händen erwärmen. Andere Wärmequellen dürfen nicht benutzt werden.

Der Behälter des Dosier-Aerosols steht unter Druck. Er darf nicht beschädigt, gewaltsam geöffnet oder ins Feuer geworfen werden, selbst wenn er leer ist.

Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf der Packung mit «EXP» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden.

Weitere Auskünfte erteilt Ihnen Ihr Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin. Diese Personen verfügen über die ausführliche Fachinformation.
