+-Was ist Vita-Merfen Salbe und wann wird es angewendet?

Vita-Merfen Salbe enthält zwei desinfizierende Substanzen, Chlorhexidinglukonat und Benzoxoniumchlorid, die rasch auf die für die Entzündung verantwortlichen Mikroorganismen wirken, sowie Vitamin A. Die Kombination desinfizierender Substanzen mit Vitamin A für die Behandlung kleiner Wunden fördert die Heilung der Wunde und beugt gleichzeitig einer Sekundärinfektion vor. Vita-Merfen Salbe eignet sich für die Behandlung kleiner Wunden aller Art (Kratz- und Schürfwunden, Schnittwunden), von Schrunden, Rissen und leichten Verbrennungen (1. Grades).

+-Was sollte dazu beachtet werden?

Grossflächige, stark verschmutzte oder tiefe Wunden, z.B. Biss oder Stichwunden, sind vom Arzt oder von der Ärztin zu behandeln (Starrkrampf- und andere Infektionsgefahr). Sofern der Umfang der Verletzung sich nach einiger Zeit nicht verkleinert, oder wenn die Wunde nach 10?14 Tagen nicht heilt, ist ebenfalls ein Arzt oder eine Ärztin aufzusuchen. Dies ist auch zu empfehlen, wenn der Wundrand sehr rot ist, wenn er plötzlich anschwillt, wenn starke Schmerzen auftreten oder wenn die Verletzung zu Fieber führt (Gefahr einer Blutvergiftung).

+-Wann darf Vita-Merfen Salbe nicht angewendet werden?

Sie dürfen das Präparat nicht anwenden, wenn Sie auf Chlorhexidinglukonat, Benzoxoniumchlorid oder eine andere quaternäre Ammoniumverbindung, Vitamin A, dessen Abkömmlinge oder auf Lanolin (Wollfett) sowie auf einen Hilfsstoff dieses Präparats allergisch sind.

+-Wann ist bei der Anwendung von Vita-Merfen Salbe Vorsicht geboten?

Vita-Merfen ist nur für den externen Gebrauch bestimmt. Vermeiden Sie, dass Vita-Merfen in Berührung mit den Augen, Ohren (Hörgang) und Schleimhäuten (wie Mund und Nase) kommt. Sollte versehentlich etwas Vita-Merfen Salbe ins Auge gelangen, spülen Sie bitte umgehend mit viel Wasser. Vita-Merfen darf nicht eingenommen werden. Vita-Merfen sollte nicht zu häufig oder während einer längeren Zeit ohne ärztliche Anweisung angewendet werden. Bei Kindern unter 2 Jahren darf das Präparat nur nach ärztlicher Verschreibung angewendet werden. Wenn Sie eine Hautreizung oder eine ungewöhnliche Empfindlichkeit feststellen, sollten Sie Vita-Merfen Salbe nicht mehr verwenden. Aufgrund der geringen Resorptionsrate der Wirkstoffe Chlorhexidinglukonat und Benzoxoniumchlorid, werden keine Wechselwirkungen mit anderen Arzneimitteln erwartet.

Vita-Merfen Salbe enthält Lanolin (Wollwachs), das eine Reaktion der Haut hervorrufen kann (z.B. Kontaktdermatitis).

Informieren Sie vor der Anwendung dieses Präparats Ihren Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin, wenn Sie

-an anderen Krankheiten leiden,

-Allergien haben oder

-andere Arzneimittel (auch selbst gekaufte!) einnehmen oder äusserlich anwenden!

+-Darf Vita-Merfen Salbe während einer Schwangerschaft oder in der Stillzeit angewendet werden?

Schwangerschaft:

Das Präparat kann in kleinen Mengen (auf kleinen Wunden) während der Schwangerschaft angewendet werden.

Es liegen keine adäquaten Daten zur Anwendung von Chlorhexidinglukonat und Benzoxoniumchlorid bei Schwangeren vor.

Das potentielle Risiko für den Menschen ist unbekannt; es wird aber angenommen, dass es sehr gering ist, weil nach topischer Applikation Chlorhexidinglukonat und Benzoxoniumchlorid nur wenig resorbiert werden. Nach lokaler Anwendung von Vitamin A treten wahrscheinlich Blutkonzentrationen auf, welche tiefer sind als nach oraler Anwendung. In grossen oral angewendeten Dosen hat Vitamin A eine potentielle teratogene Wirkung.

Wenden Sie sich an Ihren Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin, wenn Sie während der Schwangerschaft das Präparat anwenden möchten, besonders während der ersten drei Monate. 

Stillen:

Es ist nicht bekannt, ob Chlorhexidinglukonat und Benzoxoniumchlorid in die Muttermilch ausgeschieden werden. Vitamin A geht in die Muttermilch über. Während der Stillzeit kann Vita-Merfen in kleinen Mengen (auf kleinen Wunden) angewendet werden, ausser auf der Brust. Vor dem Stillen sollten Sie als generelle Vorsichtsmassnahme Ihre Brustwarzen gründlich mit Wasser waschen.

+-Wie verwenden Sie Vita-Merfen Salbe?

Wenden Sie dieses Arzneimittel wie unten beschrieben oder wie von Ihrem Apotheker / Drogisten bzw. Ihrer Apothekerin / Drogistin angegeben an. Vita-Merfen ist nur für die Anwendung auf der Haut bestimmt.

Erwachsene und Kinder ab 2 Jahren:

Die Salbe in dünner Schicht direkt oder mit Hilfe eines sterilen Tupfers auf die zu behandelnde Stelle auftragen. Bei nicht schmerzenden Verletzungen leicht einmassieren. Die Anwendung zwei- oder dreimal täglich wiederholen. Bei Kindern unter 2 Jahren darf das Präparat nur nach ärztlicher Verschreibung angewendet werden. Wenn Sie eine grössere Menge von Vita-Merfen angewendet haben, als Sie sollten, wenn Sie versehentlich Vita-Merfen eingenommen haben, kontaktieren Sie Ihren Arzt / Ihre Ärztin.

Halten Sie sich an die in der Packungsbeilage angegebene oder vom Arzt oder der Ärztin verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihrer Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin.

+-Welche Nebenwirkungen kann Vita-Merfen Salbe haben?

Wie alle Arzneimittel kann Vita-Merfen Salbe Nebenwirkungen verursachen, die aber nicht bei jedem auftreten müssen.

Gewisse Nebenwirkungen sind sehr selten (treten bei weniger als 1 von 10 000 Patienten auf) können aber schwerwiegend sein:

Schwierigkeit zu atmen, Schwindel (anaphylaktische Reaktion), Anschwellen des Gesichts und des Halses (Angioödem).

Wenn Sie eines dieser Symptome wahrnehmen, hören Sie sofort auf die Salbe anzuwenden und suchen Sie sofort ärztlichen Rat auf. Folgende Nebenwirkungen sind selten (treten bei 1 bis 10 von 10 000 Patienten auf): Hautirritationen. Folgende Nebenwirkungen sind sehr selten (treten bei weniger als 1 von 10 000 Patienten auf): Nesselsucht (Urtikaria). Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin informieren.

+-Was ist ferner zu beachten?

Arzneimittel für Kinder unerreichbar aufbewahren. Bei Raumtemperatur (15?25 °C) lagern. Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf dem Behälter mit ?EXP? bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden. Javelwasser kann im Kontakt mit Chlorhexidin eine bräunliche Verfärbung der Wäsche bewirken. Waschtests haben gezeigt, dass Waschmittel mit einem oder mehreren Bleichmitteln (zum Beispiel Perborat) diese Flecken beseitigen. Weitere Auskünfte erteilt Ihnen Ihr Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogist bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin.

1 g Salbe enthält 5 mg Chlorhexidinglukonat, 1 mg Benzoxoniumchlorid, 2000 IE Retinolpalmitat, Wollfett, Wollwachsalkohole (Hilfsstoffe).
