Vitamin B1 ist beim Abbau von Kohlenhydraten, wie Zucker und Stärke, unentbehrlich.

Vitamin B1 ist mitverantwortlich für eine normale Funktion von Nerven und Muskeln, weil diese Strukturen die Kohlenhydrate als Energielieferant benutzen.

Ein Mangel an Vitamin B1 führt somit zu Störungen in der Verwertung von Kohlenhydraten sowie zu Nerven- und Muskelerkrankungen.

Vitamin B1 Streuli dient zur Behandlung eines Vitamin B1-Mangels infolge einer Vitamin B1-Aufnahmestörung, bei Beriberi (Avitaminose), einer bestimmten Stammhirnerkrankung sowie bei Vitamin B1-abhängiger Herzmuskelerkrankung.

 

+-Wann darf Vitamin B1 Streuli, Tabletten nicht angewendet werden?

Wenn Sie gegenüber einem der Inhaltsstoffe von Vitamin B1 Streuli überempfindlich reagieren, dürfen Sie dieses Präparat nicht einnehmen.

 

+-Wann ist bei der Einnahme von Vitamin B1 Streuli, Tabletten Vorsicht geboten?

Vitamin B1 Streuli wird auch in sehr hohen Dosen und über längere Zeit eingenommen gut vertragen. Halten Sie sich aber trotzdem an die nachstehend aufgeführten Einnahmerichtlinien. Dies deshalb, weil zuviel zugeführtes Vitamin B1 mit dem Stuhl und Urin unverändert ausgeschieden wird.

Eine gleichzeitige Einnahme mit magensäureneutralisierenden Arzneimitteln ist zu vermeiden. Zwischen der jeweiligen Einnahme sollten Sie einen zeitlichen Abstand von 2 Stunden einhalten.

Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin, wenn Sie an anderen Krankheiten leiden, Allergien haben oder andere Arzneimittel (auch selbst gekaufte!) einnehmen oder äusserlich anwenden!

 

+-Darf Vitamin B1 Streuli, Tabletten während einer Schwangerschaft oder in der Stillzeit eingenommen werden?

Auf Grund der bisherigen Erfahrung ist bei bestimmungsgemässer Anwendung kein Risiko für das Kind bekannt. Systematische wissenschaftliche Untersuchungen wurden aber nie durchgeführt. Vorsichtshalber sollten Sie während der Schwangerschaft und Stillzeit möglichst auf Arzneimittel verzichten oder den Arzt oder den Apotheker bzw. die Ärztin oder die Apothekerin um Rat fragen.

 

+-Wie verwenden Sie Vitamin B1 Streuli, Tabletten?

Erwachsene und Jugendliche ab 12 Jahren

Bei leichten bis mittelschweren Mangelerscheinungen: Nehmen Sie bei leichten Mangelerscheinungen jeden 2. Tag und bei mittelschweren Mangelerscheinungen täglich 150 mg (½ Tablette Vitamin B1 Streuli) ein.

Bei schwereren Mangelerscheinungen wird Ihnen Ihr Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin eine höhere Dosierung verschreiben.

Nehmen Sie die Tablette unzerkaut während einer Mahlzeit mit etwas Flüssigkeit ein.

 

Die Anwendung und Sicherheit bei Kindern unter 12 Jahren ist bisher nicht systematisch untersucht worden.

 

Halten Sie sich an die in der Packungsbeilage angegebene oder vom Arzt bzw. von der Ärztin verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin oder Apothekerin.

 

+-Welche Nebenwirkungen kann Vitamin B1 Streuli, Tabletten haben?

Schädigende Nebenwirkungen sind bei Vitamin B1 Streuli nicht bekannt, weil überschüssiges Vitamin B1 wieder ausgeschieden wird.

Wenn Sie dennoch Nebenwirkungen bemerken, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin informieren.

 

+-Was ist ferner zu beachten?

Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf dem Behälter mit «EXP» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden.

Bei Raumtemperatur (15-25 °C) und ausser Reichweite von Kindern aufbewahren.
