Yal ist ein Reinigungseinlauf in den Mastdarm. Es enthält die beiden Abführmittel Sorbitol und Docusat Natriumsalz. Die Kombination der beiden osmotisch wirkenden Stoffe setzt die Oberflächenspannung herab und bewirkt dadurch ein besseres Eindringen der Lösung in den Darminhalt und führt zu einer ausreichenden Benetzung der Darmwand. Yal wirkt deshalb stuhlerweichend und erleichtert bei hartnäckigen Fällen den Stuhlgang. Yal eignet sich besonders für eine rasche und gute Dickdarm- und Enddarmreinigung vor Röntgenaufnahmen.
Bei Röntgenaufnahmen ist eine möglichst gute Reinigung des Dickdarmes und Enddarmes Voraussetzung für eine gute Qualität der Röntgenbilder. Um zu vermeiden, dass Aufnahmen wiederholt werden müssen, sind die Anweisungen des Arztes oder der Ärztin genau zu befolgen.
Bei bekannter Überempfindlichkeit gegenüber einem der Inhaltsstoffe. Bei Blutungen im Analbereich, bei Dickdarm-Ausstülpungen (Diverticulose) oder bei unklaren starken Bauchschmerzen sowie unmittelbar nach Darmoperationen sollte Yal nicht angewendet werden.
Bei missbräuchlicher Anwendung von Yal über längere Zeit entsteht ein Kalium- und Magnesiummangel. Bei gleichzeitiger Einnahme von Herzmitteln (Herzglykosiden) könnten unkontrollierte Wirkungen hervorgerufen werden. Die Anwendung von Yal ist dann sofort einzustellen.
Vor der Untersuchung der Innenfläche des Darmes (Endoskopie) sollen keine Abführmittel eingenommen werden, die Glyzerin oder andere ölige Substanzen enthalten, da diese die Optik der Instrumente verschmieren.
Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin, wenn Sie
? an anderen Krankheiten leiden,
? Allergien haben oder
? andere Arzneimittel (auch selbstgekaufte) einnehmen oder anwenden.
Aufgrund der bisherigen Erfahrungen ist bei bestimmungsgemässer Anwendung kein Risiko für das Kind bekannt. Systematische wissenschaftliche Untersuchungen wurden aber nie durchgeführt. Vorsichtshalber sollten Sie während der Schwangerschaft und Stillzeit möglichst auf Arzneimittel verzichten oder den Arzt oder den Apotheker bzw. die Ärztin oder die Apothekerin um Rat fragen.
Im allgemeinen genügen zur Darmentleerung 1?2 Flaschen Yal. Die Flaschen werden vor Gebrauch kräftig geschüttelt, bis ein Schaum entstanden ist. Das Darmrohr wird dann tief (bis zum Anschlag) in den Mastdarm eingeführt und der Schaum sowie die übrig gebliebene Lösung durch Druck auf die Plastikflasche in den Darm hineingepresst. Wenn nötig, kann eine zweite Flasche sofort oder nach einiger Zeit ebenso eingegeben werden.
Halten Sie sich an die in der Packungsbeilage angegebene oder vom Arzt oder der Ärztin verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin oder Apothekerin.
Folgende Nebenwirkungen können bei der Anwendung von Yal auftreten:
Unter Anwendung von Yal sind, wie bei anderen Abführmitteln, Blähungen, unklare Leibschmerzen und Durchfall nicht auszuschliessen. Eine sofortige und durchfallartige Stuhlentleerung ist aber im Sinne der Anwendung erwünscht.
Obwohl ein häufiger oder ein Dauergebrauch von Yal nicht vorgesehen ist, kann eine missbräuchliche Daueranwendung nicht ausgeschlossen werden. In diesem Falle ist mit einem Verlust an Wasser sowie an Mineralien wie Kalium oder Magnesium zu rechnen. Dies führt zu allgemeiner Schwäche, Muskelschwäche oder zunehmender Neigung zu Verstopfung. Dann ist die Anwendung von Yal sofort einzustellen.
Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin informieren.
Bei Raumtemperatur (15-30°C) lagern.
