+-Was sind Zeller Magen Kautabletten und wann werden sie angewendet?

Zeller Magen Kautabletten enthalten die beiden Wirkstoffe Calciumcarbonat und Magnesiumtrisilikat, die helfen, überschüssige Magensäure zu neutralisieren. Die beiden Wirkstoffe ergänzen sich in ihrer Wirkung, indem Calciumcarbonat rasch wirkt, während dem Magnesiumtrisilikat langsamer wirkt und so für einen länger anhaltenden Effekt sorgt.

Zeller Magen Kautabletten sind bei korrektem Gebrauch ein gut verträgliches Arzneimittel zur kurz- bis mittelfristigen Anwendung bei: Magen- oder Sodbrennen, saurem Aufstossen, Reizmagen, Verdauungsstörungen infolge Magenübersäuerung, Blähungen und akuten Magenbeschwerden.

+-Was sollte dazu beachtet werden?

Um öfters wiederkehrende Magenübersäuerung zu vermeiden, sollten Sie auf eine ausgewogene und massvolle Ernährung achten. Reduzieren Sie Fette und Kohlenhydrate (Süssigkeiten und Teigwaren) zugunsten von Eiweissen und Vitaminen (Fisch und Gemüse). Es empfiehlt sich, mehrmals täglich, dafür aber kleinere Mengen zu essen. Versuchen Sie, auf den Konsum von Alkohol und Nikotin sowie heissen Getränken, insbesondere Kaffee und Tee, weitmöglichst zu verzichten.

Bei anhaltenden Magenproblemen, die länger als eine Woche dauern, empfiehlt es sich, einen Arzt aufzusuchen und die Ursachen dafür abklären zu lassen.

Dieses Arzneimittel enthält ca. 10 mg verwertbare Kohlenhydrate pro Einzeldosis.

Zeller Magen Kautabletten dürfen bei Überempfindlichkeit auf einen der Inhaltsstoffe, bei zu hohen Calcium- und Magnesiumblutwerten sowie Phosphatmangel und eingeschränkter Nierenfunktion nicht angewendet werden.

+-Wann ist bei der Einnahme von Zeller Magen Kautabletten Vorsicht geboten?

Bei ungenügender Leistungsfähigkeit der Niere kann es nach längerer Einnahme oder Gebrauch von hohen Dosierungen, die über den empfohlenen liegen, zu einer Anreicherung von Calcium und Silikat in den Nieren kommen. Es besteht zudem die Gefahr von Nierensteinbildung.

Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin, wenn Sie

  • an anderen Krankheiten leiden,
  • Allergien haben oder
  • andere Arzneimittel (insbesondere Antibiotika, die Tetrazykline enthalten, aber auch selbst gekaufte!) einnehmen: die Einnahme von Zeller Magen Kautabletten kann die Wirkung gleichzeitig verabreichter anderer Arzneimittel beeinflussen. Es sollte eine Zeitspanne von 2 Stunden zwischen der Einnahme von Zeller Magen Kautabletten und anderen Arzneimittel eingelegt werden.
+-Dürfen Zeller Magen Kautabletten während einer Schwangerschaft oder in der Stillzeit eingenommen werden?

Aufgrund der bisherigen Erfahrungen ist bei bestimmungsgemässer Anwendung kein Risiko für das Kind bekannt. Ein erhöhter Calcium- oder Magnesiumgehalt der Muttermilch ist nicht zu erwarten. Systematische wissenschaftliche Untersuchungen wurden aber nie durchgeführt. Vorsichtshalber sollten Sie während der Schwangerschaft und Stillzeit möglichst auf Arzneimittel verzichten oder den Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. die Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin um Rat fragen.

+-Wie verwenden Sie Zeller Magen Kautabletten?

Erwachsene und Jugendliche ab 12 Jahren zerkauen ein bis zwei Stunden nach dem Essen bzw. abends vor dem Schlafengehen je nach Bedarf 2-3 Kautabletten. Die normale Tagesdosis liegt bei 3-4 mal 2-3 Kautabletten pro Tag. Kinder ab 6 Jahren nehmen die Hälfte. Zerkauen Sie die Kautabletten langsam und spülen Sie anschliessend nicht mit Flüssigkeit nach. Die erwünschte Wirkung tritt dann umgehend ein.

Halten Sie sich an die in der Packungsbeilage angegebene oder vom Arzt oder von der Ärztin verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin.

+-Welche Nebenwirkungen können Zeller Magen Kautabletten haben?

Folgende Nebenwirkungen können bei der Einnahme von Zeller Magen Kautabletten auftreten: Eine leichte Obstipation ist möglich. Aus der Literatur ist bekannt, dass sehr selten und nach längerem, unsachgemässem Gebrauch in stark überhöhten Dosen sowie bei gleichzeitiger Einnahme von Vitamin-D-reichen Nahrungsmitteln wie z.B. Milch, das sogenannte Milch-Alkali-Syndrom auftreten kann. Es kommt dabei zu erhöhten Blutcalciumwerten, basischem Harn und Nierenfunktionsstörungen sowie zu Schwindel und Erbrechen.

Falls Sie zu viele Kautabletten eingenommen haben und an solchen Symptomen leiden, informieren Sie sofort Ihren Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin!
