Acyclovir Helvepharm ist ein Arzneimittel gegen Viren (= Virostatikum), speziell gegen das Herpesvirus. Der Wirkstoff von Acyclovir Helvepharm hemmt die Vermehrung der Herpesviren, ohne die normalen Stoffwechselvorgänge zu beeinträchtigen. Die Herpesviren bewirken auf Haut und Schleimhaut Bläschenbildung.
Die Acyclovir Helvepharm Creme wird äusserlich bei leichten, örtlich begrenzten Hauterscheinungen, z.B. Fieberbläschen, angewendet.
Acyclovir Helvepharm ist nur auf Verschreibung des Arztes oder der Ärztin hin zu verwenden.
Dieses Arzneimittel wurde Ihnen von Ihrem Arzt bzw. Ihrer Ärztin zur Behandlung Ihrer gegenwärtigen Erkrankung verschrieben.
Das Virostatikum in Acyclovir Helvepharm ist nicht gegen alle Mikroorganismen, welche Infektionskrankheiten verursachen, wirksam. Die Anwendung eines falsch gewählten oder nicht richtig dosierten Virostatikums kann Komplikationen verursachen. Wenden Sie es deshalb nie von sich aus für die Behandlung anderer Erkrankungen oder anderer Personen an.
Acyclovir Helvepharm Creme darf nicht angewendet werden bei einer bekannten oder vermuteten Überempfindlichkeit auf die Wirkstoffe Aciclovir und Valaciclovir oder auf einen in Acyclovir Helvepharm Creme enthaltenen Hilfsstoff (z.B. Propylenglycol).
Bei einer Infektion mit Herpesviren in der Genitalregion sollte jeglicher Sexualkontakt vermieden werden, da sonst der Partner angesteckt werden könnte.
Die Einnahme des Gichtmittels Probenecid sollte dem Arzt bzw. der Ärztin mitgeteilt werden.
Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin, wenn Sie an anderen Krankheiten leiden, Allergien haben oder andere Arzneimittel (auch selbstgekaufte!) einnehmen oder äusserlich anwenden!
Auf Grund der bisherigen Erfahrungen ist bei bestimmungsmässiger Anwendung kein Risiko für das Kind bekannt. Vorsichtshalber sollten Sie während der Schwangerschaft möglichst auf Arzneimittel verzichten oder den Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. die Ärztin oder Apothekerin um Rat fragen.
Wird Acyclovir Helvepharm Creme während der Stillzeit verwendet, muss das Stillen nicht unterbrochen werden.
Wenn Ihr Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin nichts anderes verordnet, gelten folgende Dosierungen:
5× täglich, alle 4 Stunden, für 5 bis evtl. 10 Tage auftragen.
Eine begonnene Therapie mit Virostatika sollte so lange wie vom Arzt bzw. von der Ärztin verordnet durchgeführt werden. Die Krankheitssymptome verschwinden oft bevor die Infektion vollständig ausgeheilt ist. Deshalb sollte die Behandlung einige Tage über das Verschwinden der Krankheitszeichen hinaus fortgesetzt werden. Eine ungenügende Anwendungsdauer oder ein zu frühes Beenden der Behandlung kann ein erneutes Aufflammen der Erkrankung zur Folge haben.
Ändern Sie nicht von sich aus die verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin oder Apothekerin.
Folgende Nebenwirkungen können bei der Anwendung von Acyclovir Helvepharm auftreten:
Gelegentlich können nach dem Auftragen der Creme vorübergehendes Brennen und Stechen auftreten. Juckreiz, leichtes Austrocknen und Schuppen der Haut an der Applikationsstelle ist ebenfalls möglich. Selten kann es zu Hautrötung, Kontaktdermatitis oder einer plötzlich eintretenden allergischen Reaktion, sehr selten mit Schwellung im Bereich des Gesichtes, einschliesslich der Augenlider, der Zunge und des Kehlkopfes kommen.
Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin informieren.
Unmittelbar nach dem Auftragen der Creme kann ein leichtes Brennen oder eine leichte Rötung auftreten, ohne dass deshalb ein Unterbruch der Behandlung notwendig wäre. Die Creme darf nicht für die Behandlung des Auges verwendet werden.
Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf dem Behälter mit «EXP» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden.
Die Creme soll trocken, bei Raumtemperatur (15?25 °C) und ausserhalb der Reichweite von Kindern aufbewahrt werden.
Nach Beenden der Behandlung ist das Arzneimittel mit dem restlichen Inhalt Ihrer Abgabestelle (Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ärztin oder Apothekerin) zum fachgerechten Entsorgen zu bringen.
