Akne-mycin 2000 Salbe enthält als Wirkstoff das Antibiotikum Erythromycin.
Die Salbe wird auf Verschreibung des Arztes oder der Ärztin zur äusserlichen Behandlung entzündlicher Formen der Akne mit Knötchen und Eiterbläschen eingesetzt.
Erythromycin dringt in die Talgdrüsenausführungsgänge ein und entfaltet dort seine Wirkung speziell gegen die Bakterien, die bei der Entstehung der Akne von Bedeutung sind.
Die verwendete Salbengrundlage besitzt die Fähigkeit, sich mit dem bei der Akne häufig im Übermass abgesonderten Hauttalg zu verbinden. Beim Abwaschen von Akne-mycin 2000 wird der Talg dann von der Hautoberfläche entfernt.
Das Präparat darf nicht angewendet werden bei Überempfindlichkeit gegen Erythromycin, Cetylstearylalkohol oder einen anderen Bestandteil des Präparates.
Vorsicht ist geboten, wenn Sie gleichzeitig Antibiotika einnehmen. Die Wirkungen dieser Arzneimittel und die von Akne-mycin 2000 können sich gegenseitig behindern.
Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin, wenn Sie an anderen Krankheiten leiden, Allergien haben oder andere Arzneimittel (auch selbst gekaufte!) einnehmen oder äusserlich anwenden.
Wenn Sie schwanger sind, es werden möchten oder wenn Sie stillen, sollten Sie vorsichtshalber auf Arzneimittel verzichten oder nur anwenden, wenn es dringend erforderlich ist.
Über eine Anwendung dieses Präparates in der Schwangerschaft entscheidet der Arzt bzw. die Ärztin. Teilen Sie Ihrem Arzt bzw. der Ärztin mit, falls Sie schwanger sind oder es werden möchten.
Soweit nicht anders verordnet, soll Akne-mycin 2000 morgens und abends dünn auf die befallenen Hautstellen aufgetragen werden.
Bevor Akne-mycin 2000 neu aufgetragen wird, ist folgendes zu beachten:
Die Therapie mit Akne-mycin 2000 Salbe sollte nicht länger als 4-6 Wochen dauern.
Akne-mycin 2000 Salbe darf bei Kindern unter 12 Jahren nicht angewendet werden, da keine Daten zur Sicherheit und Wirksamkeit in dieser Altersgruppe vorliegen.
Ändern Sie nicht von sich aus die verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin oder Apothekerin.
Folgende Nebenwirkungen können bei der Anwendung von Akne-mycin 2000 auftreten:
In sehr seltenen Fällen kann zu Beginn der Therapie eine milde Hautrötung oder eine leichte Schälung auftreten. Diese Erscheinungen verschwinden bei Weiterbehandlung wieder. In sehr seltenen Fällen können die obengenannten Erscheinungen auch Ausdruck einer Überempfindlichkeitsreaktion (allergisches Kontaktekzem) sein.
Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin informieren.
Eine gleichzeitige Verwendung von Kosmetika ist zu vermeiden, da sie die Wirkung von Akne-mycin 2000 beeinträchtigen können.
Akne-mycin 2000 darf nur bis zu dem auf dem Behälter mit «EXP» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden.
Bei Raumtemperatur (15-25 °C) und ausser Reichweite von Kindern aufbewahren. Nach Anbruch ist das Präparat innerhalb von 6 Monaten aufzubrauchen.
Weitere Auskünfte erteilt Ihnen Ihr Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin. Diese Personen verfügen über die ausführliche Fachinformation.
