Aknichthol enthält zwei Wirkstoffe:
Aknichthol ist ein Arzneimittel zur äusserlichen Behandlung von leichter bis mittelschwerer Akne.
Bei der Anwendung von Aknichthol werden drei Behandlungsprinzipien der lokalen Therapie der Akne vulgaris (Mitesser/Bibeli) erfüllt:
Bei hartnäckigen Fällen von Akne wird der Heilerfolg durch innerliche Massnahmen unterstützt. Es ist zweckmässig, in der allgemeinen Lebensweise auf die Erkrankung Rücksicht zu nehmen. Hierzu ist der Arzt oder die Ärztin zu befragen. Es ist notwendig, die Behandlung mit Aknichthol nach dem Rückgang der sichtbaren Hautveränderungen noch einige Zeit weiterzuführen, um Rückfälle zu verhindern.
Bei Überempfindlichkeit gegenüber einem der angegebenen Inhaltsstoffe sollte das Arzneimittel nicht angewendet werden.
Der zusätzliche Gebrauch von anderen lokal anzuwendenden Präparaten kann die Wirkung von Aknichthol beeinträchtigen und sollte vermieden werden.
Gleichzeitige Anwendung von mehreren lokalen Aknemitteln kann Trockenheit und Irritation der Haut verursachen und sollte nur auf Anweisung des Arztes oder der Ärztin erfolgen.
Eventuell können andere lokal angewandte Arzneimittel verstärkt durch die Haut dringen. Weiterhin ist eine Wechselwirkung mit Methotrexat und Sulfonylharnstoffen möglich.
Aknichthol soll nur auf den betroffenen Hautteilen angewendet werden. Kontakt mit Augen und Schleimhäuten ist zu vermeiden. Nicht auf verletzte Haut und grosse Körperoberflächen auftragen.
Nicht bei Kindern unter 12 Jahren.
Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin, wenn Sie an anderen Krankheiten leiden, Allergien haben oder andere Arzneimittel (auch selbstgekaufte!) einnehmen oder äusserlich anwenden!
Vorsichtshalber sollten Sie während der Schwangerschaft und Stillzeit auf Arzneimittel verzichten. Wenn Sie schwanger sind, es werden möchten oder stillen, sollen Sie Aknichthol nur nach Rücksprache mit Ihrem Arzt bzw. Ihrer Ärztin anwenden.
Falls vom Arzt oder der Ärztin nicht anders verordnet, wird Aknichthol täglich morgens und abends angewandt. Die befallenen Hautpartien werden mit warmem oder kaltem Wasser ohne Seife gereinigt und abgetrocknet. Nach Durchschütteln der Suspension werden etwa 20 Tropfen auf einen Tupfer (bzw. Wattepad oder ein Kosmetiktuch) gleichmässig verteilt. Der Tupfer wird unter leichtem Druck Zug um Zug über die befallenen Hautpartien gezogen, bis das Arzneimittel unauffällig deckt. Augenlider und Lippenrot müssen ausgelassen werden. Männer tragen die Suspension im Bartbereich in Richtung Bartwuchs auf.
Die Behandlungsdauer richtet sich nach den Empfehlungen des Arztes oder der Ärztin.
Die Anwendung und Sicherheit von Aknichthol bei Kindern unter 12 Jahren ist bisher nicht geprüft worden.
Halten Sie sich an die in der Packungsbeilage angegebene oder vom Arzt oder der Ärztin verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin.
Folgende Nebenwirkungen können bei der Anwendung von Aknichthol auftreten:
In seltenen Fällen kann es zu Unverträglichkeitsreaktionen der Haut kommen, die sich in heftigem Jucken, Brennen und stärkerer Rötung der Haut zeigen. Wenn derartige Erscheinungen auftreten, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt oder Ihre Ärztin aufsuchen.
Eine leichte Austrocknung und leichte Schälung der Haut durch Aknichthol ist gewollt. Durch die Austrocknung entstandene Fältchen verschwinden nach der Schälung.
Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin informieren.
Aknichthol enthält keine Konservierungsmittel.
Flecken durch Aknichthol mit fester Gallseife behandeln, ca. 5 Minuten einwirken lassen und anschliessend bei der max. zulässigen Temperatur mit Waschpulver waschen.
Arzneimittel für Kinder unzugänglich aufbewahren!
Bei Raumtemperatur (15?25 °C) lagern.
Aknichthol darf nur bis zu dem auf dem Behälter mit «EXP» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden.
