+-Was ist Akynzeo und wann wird es angewendet?

Akynzeo ist ein Kombinationspräparat von zwei Wirkstoffen, Netupitant und Palonosetron. Netupitant gehört zu einer Gruppe von Arzneimitteln, die als NK1-Rezeptor- Antagonisten bezeichnet werden, und Palonosetron gehört zu einer Gruppe von Arzneimitteln, die als Serotonin- (5-HT3-) Antagonisten bezeichnet werden.

Akynzeo wird bei erwachsenen Patienten auf Verschreibung des Arztes bzw. der Ärztin zur Vorbeugung gegen Übelkeit und Erbrechen verwendet, die im Zusammenhang mit einer Chemotherapie wegen Krebs auftreten.

+-Wann darf Akynzeo nicht eingenommen werden?

Akynzeo darf nicht eingenommen werden, wenn:

  • Sie allergisch (überempfindlich) gegen Netupitant oder Palonosetron oder einen der sonstigen Bestandteile von Akynzeo sind.
+-Wann ist bei der Einnahme von Akynzeo Vorsicht geboten?

Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt, Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin, wenn:

  • Sie an Leberfunktionsstörungen leiden
  • Sie einen akuten Darmverschluss haben oder in der Vergangenheit unter häufiger Verstopfung gelitten haben
  • bei Ihnen selbst oder einem nahen Verwandten jemals Veränderungen des Herzrhythmus vorgelegen haben
  • Sie an anderen Herzerkrankungen leiden
  • Ihnen bekannt ist, dass die Konzentrationen bestimmter Mineralstoffe in Ihrem Blut, z.B. von Kalium und Magnesium, von der Norm abweichen, und dies nicht behoben wurde.

Es wird nicht empfohlen, Akynzeo in den Tagen nach der Chemotherapie einzunehmen, es sei denn, Sie erhalten einen weiteren Chemotherapie-Zyklus. Mit einem Abstand von mindestens zwei Wochen.

Akynzeo sollte von Kindern und Jugendlichen unter 18 Jahren nicht eingenommen werden.

Akynzeo kann die Wirkung anderer Arzneimittel beeinflussen, die gleichzeitig oder nach einer Behandlung mit Akynzeo vereinbracht werden.

Die gleichzeitige Anwendung von Akynzeo mit bestimmter Arzneimittel kann eine Dosisanpassung erforderlich machen. Bitte sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Artz oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin, wenn Sie andere Arzneimittel nehmen, insbesondere:

  • bestimmte Arzneimittel zur Behandlung von Depressionen und/oder Angststörungen (sogenannte SSRI, selektive Serotonin-Wiederaufnahmehemmer, oder SNRI, Serotonin-Noradrenalin-Wiederaufnahmehemmer)
  • Arzneimittel, die Herzrhythmusstörungen hervorrufen könnten
  • bestimmte Chemotherapeutika
  • bestimmte Antibiotika oder bestimmte Arzneimittel gegen Pilzerkrankungen
  • Dexamethason (kann zur Behandlung von Übelkeit und Erbrechen eingesetzt werden)
  • Midazolam (ein Medikament, das als Beruhigungsmittel oder zur Behandlung von Angstzuständen eingesetzt wird)

Akynzeo kann Schwindel oder Müdigkeit verursachen. Wenn dies bei Ihnen der Fall ist, dürfen Sie sich nicht an das Steuer eines Fahrzeugs setzen und keine Maschinen bedienen.

Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt, Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin, wenn Sie

  • an anderen Krankheiten leiden,
  • Allergien haben oder
  • andere Arzneimittel (auch selbst gekaufte!) einnehmen!
+-Darf Akynzeo während einer Schwangerschaft oder in der Stillzeit eingenommen werden?

Schwangerschaft

Wenn Sie schwanger sind, oder wenn Sie vermuten, schwanger zu sein, fragen Sie vor der Einnahme von Akynzeo Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin um Rat.

Stillzeit

Wenn Sie stillen oder es beabsichtigen, dürfen Sie Akynzeo nicht anwenden, denn es ist nicht bekannt, ob das Arzneimittel in die Muttermilch übergeht. Sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin oder Apothekerin.

+-Wie verwenden Sie Akynzeo?

Die empfohlene Dosis ist 1 Kapsel Akynzeo etwa 1 Stunde vor Beginn jedes Chemotherapiezyklus.

Sie können Akynzeo mit einer Mahlzeit oder unabhängig davon einnehmen.

Wenn Sie glauben, dass Sie möglicherweise eine grössere Menge eingenommen haben, als Sie sollten, informieren Sie sofort Ihren Arzt.

Ändern Sie nicht von sich aus die verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin oder Apothekerin.

+-Welche Nebenwirkungen kann Akynzeo haben?

Brechen Sie die Einnahme von Akynzeo sofort ab und informieren Sie unverzüglich Ihren Arzt, wenn Sie eine der folgenden Nebenwirkungen bemerken ? Sie benötigen unter Umständen dringend ärztliche Behandlung:

Nesselausschlag, Hautausschlag, Juckreiz, Atem- oder Schluckbeschwerden: diese sind Anzeichen einer allergischen Reaktion.

Häufige Nebenwirkungen:

  • Kopfschmerzen, Verstopfung, Müdigkeitsgefühl.

Gelegentliche Nebenwirkungen:

  • niedrige Werte der weissen Blutkörperchen (dies wird durch Blutuntersuchungen festgestellt)
  • hohe Spiegel bestimmter Enzyme, darunter Leberenzyme (dies wird durch Blutuntersuchungen festgestellt)
  • hohe Spiegel der Substanz Kreatinin, ein Mass für die Nierenfunktion (dies wird durch Blutuntersuchungen festgestellt)
  • Überleitungsstörung im Herzen (dies wird im Elektrokardiogramm festgestellt)
  • Herzmuskelerkrankung
  • Blutdruckanstieg
  • Unbehagen im Bauch (Magen), Verdauungsbeschwerden, Schluckauf, Blähungen oder Durchfall
  • Drehschwindel (Vertigo) Benommenheit/Schwindelgefühl oder Schlafstörungen (Schlaflosigkeit)
  • verminderter Appetit
  • Schwächegefühl
  • Haarausfall

Bewahren Sie dieses Arzneimittel für Kinder unzugänglich und nicht sichtbar auf.

Nicht über 30 °C lagern.

Sie dürfen Akynzeo nach dem auf der Blisterpackung und dem Umkarton nach «EXP» angegebenen Verfalldatum nicht mehr verwenden.

1 Kapsel enthält 0.5 Milligramm Palonosetron (als Hydrochlorid) und 300 Milligramm Netupitant, Butylhydroxyanisol (E 320) als Antioxidanz, sowie weitere Hilfsstoffen.
