Atoseptal ist eine wässrige Lösung auf der Basis von Chlorhexidingluconat, einem Wirkstoff mit desinfizierenden Eigenschaften.
Es ist angezeigt zur unterstützenden örtlichen Behandlung von Infektionen im Mund und Rachenraum wie z.B. bei Stomatitis (Entzündung der Mundschleimhaut) und Gingivitis (Entzündung des Zahnfleischraumes).
Atoseptal hat ebenfalls eine Wirkung auf Zahnbelag und verbessert somit die Mundhygiene.
Durch den Zerstäuber lässt sich das Medikament gut auf der Mundschleimhaut und im Rachenraum verteilen.
Bei Kindern unter 30 Monaten sollte Atoseptal nicht angewendet werden, da das unter Druck stehende Präparat bei ihnen Brechreiz auslösen kann.
Darüber hinaus darf Atoseptal bei Überempfindlichkeit (Allergie) gegen Chlorhexidin nicht angewendet werden.
Wird eine bakterielle Infektion von generalisierten Symptomen begleitet, wie z.B. hohem Fieber, oder tritt nach einigen Tagen keine Besserung der Beschwerden ein, sollten Sie lhren Arzt aufsuchen.
lnformieren Sie lhren Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin wenn Sie an anderen Krankheiten leiden, Allergien haben oder andere Medikamente (auch selbstgekaufte) einnehmen oder äusserlich anwenden!
Auf Grund der bisherigen Erfahrung ist bei bestimmungsgemässer Anwendung kein Risiko für das Kind bekannt. Systematische wissenschaftliche Untersuchungen wurden aber nie durchgeführt.
Vorsichtshalber sollten Sie während der Schwangerschaft und Stillzeit möglichst auf Arzneimittel verzichten oder den Arzt, den Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. die Ärztin, die Apothekerin oder Drogistin um Rat fragen.
Atoseptal Spray wird 4?8-mal täglich in den Mund oder in den Rachen gesprüht. Dabei ist darauf zu achten, dass die Gasflasche aufrecht gehalten wird.
Das Medikament sollte nicht über einen längeren Zeitraum als eine Woche verwendet werden.
Bitte halten Sie sich an die in der Packungsbeilage angegebene oder vom Arzt oder der Ärztin verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin.
Unter Verwendung von Atoseptal kann die Zunge eine leicht bräunliche Färbung annehmen. Diese Verfärbung ist vorübergehender Art und verschwindet nach Absetzen des Medikaments wieder.
Durch Chlorhexidin kann sich der Zahnbelag schwarz verfärben. Dies lässt sich durch gründliches Putzen und Spülen der Zähne vor der Anwendung von Atoseptal vermeiden.
Atoseptal kann vorübergehend das Geschmacksempfinden verändern.
Es können Hautausschlag, Unwohlsein, plötzliches Anschwellen des Gesichtes und des Halses mit Atemschwierigkeiten und evtl. Schock auftreten. Es handelt sich hierbei um eine allergisch bzw. anaphylaktische Reaktion auf das Arzneimittel. Wenn Sie eines dieser Zeichen beobachten, stoppen Sie unverzüglich die Behandlung und kontaktieren Sie rasch Ihren Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin.
Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin informieren.
Da die Gasflasche unter Druck steht, darf sie nicht in der Nähe von Wärmequellen aufbewahrt werden und auch in leerem Zustand nicht in Kontakt mit offener Flamme kommen.
Bei Raumtemperatur (15?25 °C) lagern.
Das Medikament darf nur bis zu dem auf der Packung mit «EXP» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden.
