+-Was ist Broncho-Vaxom und wann wird es angewendet?

Broncho-Vaxom wird als Immunstimulans zur Steigerung Ihrer natürlichen Abwehrkräfte angewendet.

Broncho-Vaxom kann akuten Schüben einer chronischen Bronchitis sowie wiederholten Infektionen der Atemwege ? insbesondere Nebenhöhlenentzündungen, Entzündungen des Nasen-Rachen-Raums und Ohrenentzündungen ? bei Erwachsenen und Kindern vorbeugen bzw. diese mildern.

Darüber hinaus kann es auch mit Behandlungen kombiniert werden, die in der akuten Phase von Atemwegsinfektionen verschrieben werden.

+-Was sollte dazu beachtet werden?

Wenn Ihnen Ihr Arzt gleichzeitig noch andere Medikamente verschrieben hat, insbesondere Antibiotika, dürfen Sie keinesfalls versäumen, diese einzunehmen.

+-Wann darf Broncho-Vaxom nicht eingenommen/angewendet werden?

Bei bekannter Überempfindlichkeit (Allergie) gegen Broncho-Vaxom oder einen seiner (im Abschnitt «Was ist in Broncho-Vaxom enthalten?» aufgeführten) Hilfsstoffe.

+-Wann ist bei der Einnahme/Anwendung von Broncho-Vaxom Vorsicht geboten?

Falls die Symptome anhalten, informieren Sie bitte Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker, der Ihnen erklärt, wie weiter vorzugehen ist, wobei der Apotheker Sie gegebenenfalls bittet, Ihren Arzt aufzusuchen.

Wenn Sie allergisch auf Broncho-Vaxom reagieren, brechen Sie die Einnahme sofort ab und informieren Sie Ihren Arzt.

Die Anwendung von Broncho-Vaxom bei Kindern unter 6 Monaten wird nicht empfohlen.

Wenden Sie sich an Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker, wenn Sie oder Ihr Kind:

  • an einer anderen Erkrankung leiden
  • allergisch sind/ist
  • bereits andere Arzneimittel zur inneren oder äusseren Anwendung nehmen/nimmt (einschliesslich Selbstmedikation)
+-Darf Broncho-Vaxom während einer Schwangerschaft oder in der Stillzeit eingenommen/angewendet werden?

Schwangerschaft

Obwohl Tierversuche keine Hinweise auf eine toxische Wirkung erbracht haben, wird vorsichtshalber davon abgeraten, Broncho-Vaxom während der Schwangerschaft einzunehmen. Wenn Sie schwanger sind oder beabsichtigen, schwanger zu werden, sollten Sie vor der Einnahme von Broncho-Vaxom Ihren Arzt um Rat fragen.

Stillzeit

Es liegen keine spezifischen Studien und entsprechende Daten vor.

+-Wie verwenden Sie Broncho-Vaxom?

Halten Sie sich immer genau an die in der Packungsbeilage angegebene oder vom Arzt verschriebene Dosierung. Wenden Sie sich an Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker, wenn Sie den Eindruck haben, dass die Wirkung dieses Arzneimittels zu stark oder zu schwach ist.

Broncho-Vaxom ist zum Einnehmen.

Erwachsene und Jugendliche über 12 Jahre

Vorbeugende und/oder konsolidierende Behandlung

Einmal täglich eine Kapsel Broncho-Vaxom für Erwachsene an 10 aufeinanderfolgenden Tagen pro Monat über einen Zeitraum von 3 Monaten.

Behandlung akuter Phasen

Einmal täglich eine Kapsel Broncho-Vaxom für Erwachsene auf nüchternen Magen bis zum Abklingen der Symptome (jedoch mindestens 10 Tage). Wenn ein Antibiotikum verschrieben wurde, kann Broncho-Vaxom für Erwachsene ab Behandlungsbeginn damit kombiniert werden.

Kinder zwischen 6 Monaten und 12 Jahren:

Vorbeugende und/oder konsolidierende  Behandlung

Einmal täglich eine Kapsel Broncho-Vaxom für Kinder oder 1 Beutel Broncho-Vaxom für Kinder an 10 aufeinanderfolgenden Tagen pro Monat über einen Zeitraum von 3 Monaten.

Behandlung akuter Phasen

Einmal täglich eine Kapsel Broncho-Vaxom für Kinder oder 1 Beutel Broncho-Vaxom für Kinder auf nüchternen Magen bis zum Abklingen der Symptome (jedoch mindestens 10 Tage). Wenn ein Antibiotikum verschrieben wurde, kann Broncho-Vaxom für Kinder ab Behandlungsbeginn damit kombiniert werden.

Anmerkung: Sollte das Kind Schwierigkeiten beim Schlucken der Kapsel haben, ist es auch möglich, die Kapsel zu öffnen und den Inhalt einem Getränk (Wasser, Fruchtsaft, Milch usw.) beizumischen. In diesem Fall wäre die Darreichungsform in Beuteln jedoch besser geeignet.

Der Beutelinhalt muss dabei in ein Getränk (Wasser, Fruchtsaft, Milch usw.) eingerührt werden.

+-Welche Nebenwirkungen kann Broncho-Vaxom haben?

Die Einnahme von Broncho-Vaxom kann folgende Nebenwirkungen verursachen:

Häufig:

Kopfschmerzen, Husten, Durchfall, Bauchschmerzen, Hautausschlag.

Gelegentlich:

Übelkeit, Erbrechen, Nesselsucht, Müdigkeit.

Allergische Reaktionen einschliesslich Hautausschlag, Rötungen, Anschwellen von Augenlidern, Gesicht, Fussknöcheln, Beinen oder Fingern, Juckreiz, plötzliche Kurzatmigkeit oder Atembeschwerden.

Selten:

Fieber.

Nicht bekannt:

Anschwellen von Haut oder Muskeln.

Bei anhaltenden Magen-Darm- oder Atemwegstörungen brechen Sie bitte die Behandlung ab und informieren Sie Ihren Arzt.

Wenn Sie andere Nebenwirkungen bemerken, wenden Sie sich an Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker.

Broncho-Vaxom ist an einem trockenen Ort und für Kinder unzugänglich aufzubewahren. Sie dürfen dieses Arzneimittel nach dem auf der Verpackung nach «EXP» angegebenen Verfalldatum nicht mehr verwenden.
