oder dem Medikamenten-Taxi nach einer Online Sprechstunde, falls gewünscht.
Sie erhalten Campral, ein Arzneimittel zur Alkoholentwöhnung, welches den Wirkstoff Acamprosat enthält. Campral dient zur Aufrechterhaltung der Abstinenz nach erfolgter Entzugsbehandlung, als Teil einer Kombination verschiedener therapeutischer Massnahmen (psychotherapeutischer, psychosozialer, medikamentöser Art). Die Behandlung mit diesem Arzneimittel wird unmittelbar nach der Entgiftung begonnen (nach etwa 5 Tagen Abstinenz).
Campral darf nur auf Verschreibung des Arztes oder der Ärztin angewendet werden.
Campral darf nicht angewendet werden bei Überempfindlichkeit auf den Wirkstoff, bei Nierenfunktionsstörungen und während der Stillzeit.
Alkoholentzugssymptome werden durch Campral nicht vermindert oder beseitigt.
Da erwiesenermassen ein Zusammenhang zwischen Alkoholabhängigkeit, Depressionen und Selbstmordgedanken besteht, wird empfohlen, alkoholabhängige Patienten, auch während einer Behandlung mit Campral, auf Zeichen, die auf eine Depression oder auf Selbstmord hinweisen könnten, durch den Arzt zu überwachen.
Campral wurde häufig gleichzeitig mit einem anderen Arzneimittel zur Alkoholentwöhnung (Antabus), mit Schlaf- und Beruhigungsmitteln (Benzodiazepinen) sowie mit anderen auf die Psyche wirkenden Arzneimitteln verabreicht, ohne dass Wechselwirkungen beobachtet wurden.
Dieses Arzneimittel kann die Reaktionsfähigkeit, die Fähigkeit, Werkzeuge oder Maschinen zu bedienen und die Fahrtüchtigkeit beeinträchtigen. Daher sollten unter Campral diese Tätigkeiten nicht ausgeführt werden, bis ein Ausbleiben möglicher beeinträchtigender Effekte durch Campral als gesichert erscheint.
Bei Kindern und Jugendlichen unter 18 Jahren, bei älteren Patienten über 65 Jahren sowie bei Patienten mit schweren Leberfunktionsstörungen liegen keine Erfahrungen mit Campral vor, deshalb sollte Campral in diesen Alters- und Patientengruppen nicht eingenommen werden.
Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt, Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin, wenn Sie an anderen Krankheiten leiden, Allergien haben oder andere Arzneimittel (auch selbstgekaufte!) einnehmen oder äusserlich anwenden (Externa).
Campral darf während der Schwangerschaft nicht eingenommen werden, ausser auf ausdrückliche Verordnung Ihres Arztes oder Ihrer Ärztin.
Campral darf während der Stillzeit nicht eingenommen werden.
Erwachsene nehmen 3-mal täglich 2 Filmtabletten Campral vor oder während der Mahlzeit ein.
Campral Filmtabletten sind mit einem Überzug versehen, welcher eine Reizung des Magens verhindert. Schlucken Sie deshalb die Filmtabletten ganz, unzerkaut und mit etwas Flüssigkeit.
Der Arzt oder die Ärztin wird Ihnen Campral zu Beginn oder während einer Entzugsbehandlung verschreiben ? das heisst nach etwa 5 Tagen Abstinenz ? und die Einnahme von Campral soll während 6 bis 12 Monaten fortgeführt werden. In besonderen Fällen kann auch eine längere Behandlung erfolgen. Die regelmässige Einnahme (3-mal täglich 2 Filmtabletten) ist für den Behandlungserfolg unerlässlich.
Sollten Sie einmal die Einnahme von einer Dosis Campral vergessen haben, so nehmen Sie die beiden Filmtabletten nachträglich ein. Die nächste Dosis sollte dann zum gewohnten Zeitpunkt eingenommen werden.
Ändern Sie nicht von sich aus die verschriebene Dosis. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin oder Apothekerin.
Die Anwendung und Sicherheit von Campral bei Kindern und Jugendlichen ist bisher nicht geprüft worden. Für Erwachsene über 65 Jahre liegen keine Erfahrungen mit Campral vor. Deshalb wird Campral für die Behandlung von Kindern, Jugendlichen und Erwachsenen über 65 Jahren nicht empfohlen.
Folgende Nebenwirkungen können bei der Einnahme von Campral auftreten:
Sehr häufig (über 10%): Durchfall.
Häufig (1?10%): Appetitlosigkeit, Bauchschmerzen, Übelkeit, Blähungen, Erbrechen, Juckreiz, Hautausschlag, sexuelle Funktionsstörungen (Abnahme der Libido, Frigidität, Impotenz).
Gelegentlich (0,1?1%): Sexuelle Funktionsstörungen (Erhöhung der Libido).
Sehr selten (unter 0,01%): Überempfindlichkeitsreaktionen wie Nesselfieber (Urtikaria), Schwellungen der Haut und Schleimhäute (Angioödem), oder schwere allergische Reaktionen (anaphylaktische Reaktionen).
In kontrollierten klinischen Studien traten die folgenden Nebenwirkungen häufig auf: Mundtrockenheit, Schlaflosigkeit, depressive Verstimmung, Angstgefühle, Schwindel, Empfindungsstörungen in Händen und Füssen (Parästhesien), Schwäche, Schwitzen oder Schmerzen.
Sexuelle Funktionsstörungen werden auch bei chronischem Alkoholismus beobachtet.
Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt, Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin informieren.
Das Arzneimittel soll ausserhalb der Reichweite von Kindern und bei Temperaturen nicht über 30 °C aufbewahrt und nur bis zu dem auf dem Behälter mit «EXP» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden.
