Dieses Arzneimittel enthält Sorbitol, ein Zuckeraustauschstoff. Wenden Sie sich an Ihren Arzt, falls Sie an einer Fruktoseintoleranz leiden.
Sie dürfen dieses Medikament nicht einnehmen, falls Sie
Falls Sie eine Therapie mit Methotrexat durchführen, wenden Sie sich bitte an Ihren Arzt.

In folgenden Situationen ist Vorsicht geboten:
bei chronischen oder wiederkehrenden Magen-Darmbeschwerden, einer Nieren- oder Leberkrankheit, Asthma, während einer Behandlung mit anderen Blutverdünnern oder falls Sie übermässig starke oder unregelmässige Monatsblutungen haben, da Acetylsalicylsäure die Intensität und Dauer der Menstruation verstärken kann.
Cardioral kann die Wirkung gewisser anderer, gleichzeitig eingenommener Arzneimittel verstärken oder abschwächen.
So kann es die Wirkung von Blutverdünnern, gewissen Beruhigungsmitteln, Lithiumpräparaten gegen Depressionen, gewissen Antibiotika und Schilddrüsenmedikamenten, krampflösenden Mitteln (Antiepileptika) und von Blutzucker senkenden Mitteln verstärken.
Die Wirkung von gewissen harntreibenden Mitteln, Medikamenten gegen Gicht und Bluthochdruckmitteln kann bei gleichzeitiger Anwendung von Cardioral abgeschwächt werden.
Ausserdem besteht bei gleichzeitiger Einnahme von Entzündungshemmern, Kortisonpräparaten, Antidepressiva, Vasodilatatoren (Pentoxifyllin), Exjade und Alkohol ein erhöhtes Blutungsrisiko im Magen-Darm-Trakt.
Bei gleichzeitiger Einnahme von Magensäure neutralisierenden Medikamenten kann die Wirkung von Cardioral vermindert werden.
Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker, wenn Sie an anderen Krankheiten leiden, Allergien haben oder andere Arzneimittel (auch selbstgekaufte!) einnehmen.
Wenn Sie schwanger sind oder es werden wollen, sollten Sie vorsichtshalber auf Medikamente verzichten. Cardioral sollte während der ersten 6 Schwangerschaftsmonate nicht eingenommen werden, ausser auf Anordnung ihres Arztes und nur unter strenger Befolgung seiner Anweisungen. In den letzten 3 Schwangerschaftsmonaten darf Cardioral wegen der Gefahr von Blutungen und einer möglichen Verzögerung des Geburtstermins nicht eingenommen werden.
Wenn Sie stillen, sollten Sie Cardioral nicht einnehmen.
Bitten Sie vor der Einnahme von jeglichen Arzneimitteln Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker um Rat.
Cardioral ist nur für Erwachsene bestimmt. Die Anwendung und Sicherheit von Cardioral bei Kindern und Jugendlichen ist bisher nicht geprüft worden.
Halten Sie sich an die Vorschriften Ihres Arztes, der Ihnen die für Sie am besten geeignete Dosierung verschrieben hat.
Bitte wenden Sie sich an Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker, wenn Sie sich nicht ganz sicher sind.
Die übliche Dosierung beträgt 1 Weichkapsel 1x täglich.
Eine höhere Dosis von bis zu 4 Weichkapseln täglich kann von Ihrem Arzt/Ihrer Ärztin als notwendig erachtet werden.
Cardioral jeden Tag zur gleichen Zeit einnehmen.
Die Kapsel unzerkaut mit etwas Wasser einnehmen.
Ändern Sie nicht von sich aus die verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt oder Apotheker, bzw. Ärztin oder Apothekerin.
Schweissausbrüche, Schwindel, Übelkeit, Erbrechen, Fieber, Schnellatmigkeit oder Ohrensausen können Anzeichen einer Überdosierung sein.
Im Fall einer Überdosierung können Durchblutungs- und Bewusstseinsstörungen auftreten, die sofortige medizinische Massnahmen erfordern.
Als Nebenwirkung können Magen-Darmblutungen, Bauchschmerzen, Bluterbrechen oder dunkler Stuhl auftreten.
Die Einnahme von Cardioral kann in seltenen Fällen Nasen- oder Zahnfleischblutungen sowie kleinfleckige Blutungen der Unterhaut oder der Schleimhäute hervorrufen, die Blutungszeit und die Dauer der Monatsblutungen verlängern.
In seltenen Fällen können Überempfindlichkeitsreaktionen (Hautausschläge, Nesselfieber, Schwellungen von Haut und Schleimhaut bis hin zum lebensbedrohlichen Schock) sowie Asthma, Schnupfen und Lungenprobleme auftreten. In diesen Fällen müssen Sie die Behandlung sofort abbrechen und Ihren Arzt benachrichtigen.
Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker, bzw. Ärztin oder Apothekerin informieren.
Bei Raumtemperatur (15?25 °C), in der Originalpackung, vor Licht und Feuchtigkeit geschützt sowie ausser Reichweite von Kindern aufbewahren.
Cardioral nach Ablauf des auf der Packung mit «EXP» angegebenen Datums nicht mehr verwenden. Das Verfalldatum bezieht sich auf den letzten Tag des Monats.
Das Arzneimittel darf nur in der Apotheke entsorgt werden.
