Ceclor ist nur auf Verschreibung des Arztes bzw. der Ärztin zu verwenden.
Ceclor ist ein Antibiotikum aus der Gruppe der Cephalosporine und gegen zahlreiche Mikroorganismen wirksam, die Infektionen hervorrufen können.
Ceclor ist zur Behandlung folgender Infektionen mit empfindlichen Mikroorganismen geeignet: Atemwegsinfektionen, einschliesslich Lungenentzündung, akute bakterielle Bronchitis, Verschlimmerung der chronischen Bronchitis, Entzündung der Rachenschleimhaut, Mandelentzündung, Nasennebenhöhlenentzündung, Mittelohrentzündung, Infektionen der Haut und des Weichteilgewebes, akute und chronische Harnwegsinfektionen einschliesslich Nierenbeckenentzündung und Entzündung der Harnblase.
Dieses Arzneimittel wurde Ihnen von Ihrem Arzt bzw. Ihrer Ärztin zur Behandlung Ihrer gegenwärtigen Erkrankung verschrieben. Das Antibiotikum in Ceclor ist nicht gegen alle Mikroorganismen, welche Infektionskrankheiten verursachen, wirksam. Die Anwendung eines falsch gewählten oder nicht richtig dosierten Antibiotikums kann Komplikationen verursachen. Wenden Sie es deshalb nie von sich aus für die Behandlung anderer Erkrankungen oder anderer Personen an.
Bei einer bekannten oder vermuteten Überempfindlichkeit gegen Cephalosporin-Antibiotika oder gegenüber anderen in Ceclor enthaltenen Substanzen darf Ceclor nicht verwendet werden. Eine Überempfindlichkeit äussert sich z.B. durch Asthma, Atemnot, Kreislaufbeschwerden, Schwellungen der Haut (z.B. Nesselfieber) und Schleimhäute oder Hautausschläge.
Bei Penicillinüberempfindlichkeit ist auf eine mögliche Kreuzallergie zu achten.
Wenn Sie ein orales Verhütungsmittel («Pille») nehmen, kann während der Behandlung mit Ceclor deren Wirksamkeit vermindert werden. Es sollte deshalb eine zusätzliche empfängnisverhütende Massnahme getroffen werden.
Wenn während der Behandlung Schwierigkeiten mit dem Atmen, Engegefühl in der Brust, ein Anschwellen der Augenlider, des Gesichtes oder der Lippen, Hautausschläge oder sehr starke Durchfälle auftreten, sollten Sie unverzüglich Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker informieren, bevor Sie mit der Ceclor-Therapie weiterfahren.
Bei Patientinnen und Patienten mit eingeschränkter Nierenfunktion ist Ceclor mit Vorsicht anzuwenden.
Wie auch bei anderen Beta-Laktamantibiotika wird die renale Elimination durch Probenecid (Präparat zur Gichtbehandlung) gehemmt.
Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin, wenn Sie an anderen Krankheiten leiden, Allergien haben oder andere Arzneimittel (auch selbstgekaufte!) einnehmen.
Sollten Sie schwanger sein, eine Schwangerschaft planen oder stillen, müssen Sie den Arzt bzw. die Ärztin unbedingt darüber informieren. Über die Anwendung während der Schwangerschaft und Stillperiode entscheidet Ihr Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin.
Die vom Arzt bzw. der Ärztin verordnete Tagesdosierung und Therapiedauer sollte genauestens eingehalten werden.
Eine begonnene Antibiotika-Therapie sollte so lange wie vom Arzt bzw. der Ärztin verordnet durchgeführt werden. Die Krankheitssymptome verschwinden oft, bevor die Infektion vollständig ausgeheilt ist. Eine ungenügende Anwendungsdauer oder ein zu frühes Beenden der Behandlung kann ein erneutes Aufflammen der Erkrankung zur Folge haben.
Falls von Ihrem Arzt bzw. Ihrer Ärztin nicht anders verordnet, gelten folgende übliche Dosierungen:
Die übliche Dosierung für Kinder ab 1 Monat beträgt 20 mg/kg Körpergewicht/Tag in Teilgaben alle 8 - 12 Stunden.
Bronchitis und Lungenentzündung: alle 8 Stunden.
Bei Mittelohrentzündung, Nasennebenhöhlenentzündung, schwereren Infektionen und Infektionen durch weniger empfindliche Erreger beträgt die Dosierung 40 mg/kg Körpergewicht in Teilgaben alle 8 - 12 Stunden. Bei Kindern bis zu 6 Jahren jedoch nicht mehr als 1g/Tag, d.h. 20 ml pro Tag.

1 Messpipette = 5 ml, Graduierung in Schritten von 0,4 ml und 0.5 ml .
Die übliche Dosierung für Erwachsene beträgt 5 ml 2 - 3 x pro Tag.
Bronchitis und Lungenentzündung: 5 ml 3 x pro Tag.
Nasennebenhöhlenentzündung: 5 ml 3 x pro Tag über 10 Tage.
Bei schweren Infektionen, z.B. Lungenentzündung oder Infektionen durch weniger empfindliche Erreger: 10 ml 3 x pro Tag.
Eine Tagesmaximaldosis von 4 g pro Tag (80 ml der Suspension) sollte nicht überschritten werden.
Für Patientinnen und Patienten mit starker Einschränkung der Nierenfunktion wird unter Umständen durch den Arzt bzw. die Ärztin eine Dosisreduktion verordnet.
Ceclor kann mit den Mahlzeiten oder unabhängig davon eingenommen werden.
Die Zubereitung der Suspension hat durch den Apotheker oder Arzt bzw. die Apothekerin oder Ärztin zu erfolgen.
Zuerst Flasche umkehren und leicht anklopfen, um das Pulver zu lockern. Dann der Flasche Leitungswasser in 2 Portionen zufügen (insgesamt genau 60 ml oder bis zum Markierungsstrich auf der Verpackung). Jedes Mal gut schütteln und kurze Zeit stehen lassen. Bei Bedarf nochmals vorsichtig Leitungswasser bis zum Markierungsstrich hinzufügen. Dies ergibt 100 ml gebrauchsfertige Suspension.
Vor Gebrauch gut schütteln!
Ändern Sie nicht von sich aus die verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihrer Ärztin oder Apothekerin.
Folgende Symptome können bei Überdosierung auftreten: Übelkeit, Brechreiz, Magen-Darm-Krämpfe und Durchfall. Die Stärke von Magen-Darm-Krämpfen und Durchfall ist dosisabhängig.
Falls Sie von einer Überdosierung wissen oder den Verdacht einer solchen haben, rufen Sie einen Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. eine Ärztin oder Apothekerin oder informieren Sie die Vergiftungszentrale (TOX-Zentrum).
Blut: Anämie, Blutbildveränderungen (z.B. Neutropenie, Thrombozytopenie, Leukopenie) ,welche vom Arzt oder der Ärztin festgestellt werden können. Diese Erscheinungen sind reversibel.
Überempfindlichkeit: allergische Hautreaktionen wie Rash, Juckreiz, urtikarielles Exanthem, makulopapulöse morbiliforme Exantheme.
Gelegentlich ist im zeitlichen Zusammenhang mit einer Cefaclor-Therapie über schwere Hauterscheinungen mit lebensbedrohlichen Allgemeinreaktionen berichtet worden. Weitere Symptome einer Überempfindlichkeitsreaktion können eine Eosinophilie, ein positiver Coombs-Test (Blutbildveränderungen, die vom Arzt bzw. der Ärztin festgestellt werden), Ödeme und Arzneimittelfieber sowie eine Vaginitis (Scheidenentzündung) sein.
Gelegentlich wurden auch Fälle von serumkrankheitsähnlichen Reaktionen wie Hautauschlag mit Gelenkbeschwerden und häufig Fieber berichtet.
Im Allgemeinen treten diese offensichtlich allergisch bedingten Erscheinungen während oder nach einer zweiten Behandlung mit Cefaclor auf (häufiger bei Kindern als bei Erwachsenen) und klingen wenige Tage nach Absetzen des Arzneimittels wieder ab.
Überempfindlichkeitsreaktionen aller Schweregrade (bis zu anaphylaktischem Schock) sind auch nach oraler Einnahme von Cephalosporinen beobachtet worden, wenn auch wesentlich seltener als nach intravenöser oder intramuskulärer Gabe.
Schwere akute Überempfindlichkeitserscheinungen treten gelegentlich auf und können sich äussern als: Gesichtsödem, Zungenschwellung, innere Kehlkopfschwellung mit Einengung der Luftwege, Herzjagen, Luftnot (Atemnot), Blutdruckabfall bis hin zu bedrohlichem Schock. Diese Reaktionen traten teilweise schon nach Erstanwendung auf.
Falls es unter Ceclor zu allergischen Reaktionen kommt, benachrichtigen Sie sofort Ihren Arzt oder Ihre Ärztin. Er bzw. sie entscheidet dann über das Absetzen von Ceclor und in der Folge über eine Weiterführung der Behandlung mit geeigneten Arzneimitteln.
Nervensystem: Gelegentlich wurden vorübergehende Hyperaktivität, Nervosität, Schlaflosigkeit oder Schläfrigkeit, Verwirrung, Schwindel, Halluzinationen beobachtet.
Magen-Darm-Bereich: Häufig: Magendrücken, Übelkeit, Erbrechen, Appetitlosigkeit, Blähungen, weiche Stühle oder Durchfall. Diese Störungen sind meist leichter Natur, die häufig während, sonst nach Absetzen der Therapie abklingen. Bei Auftreten von schweren, anhaltenden Durchfällen während oder nach der Therapie ist an eine Schleimhautentzündung des Dickdarms (pseudomembranöse Colitis) zu denken, die sofort behandelt werden muss.
Leber: Sehr selten Leberentzündung und Gelbsucht.
Niere: Gelegentlich interstitielle Nephritis (Nierenentzündung), die sich nach Beendigung der Therapie von selbst normalisiert.
Allgemein: Gelegentlich vorübergehender Bluthochdruck.
Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin informieren.
Die Sicherheit und Wirksamkeit von Ceclor bei Kindern unter 1 Monat sind nicht untersucht, weshalb die Anwendung von Ceclor bei Kindern dieser Altersklasse nur unter strikter Anweisung des Arztes bzw. der Ärztin erfolgen darf.
Die Anwendung von Ceclor über längere Zeit kann zu einem Überhandnehmen nicht empfindlicher Erreger führen. Tritt während der Behandlung eine Superinfektion auf, so wird Ihr Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin geeignete Massnahmen ergreifen.
Die Suspension enthält 3 g Zucker/5 ml Suspension (= 0,3 BW) und ist daher für Diabetiker nicht geeignet.
Bei Diabetikern können Harnzuckerbestimmungen falschpositiv ausfallen, wenn Methoden verwendet werden, die auf Reduktion des Kupfers beruhen (z.B. Fehling, Benedict, Clinitest).
Bewahren Sie das Arzneimittel in der verschlossenen Originalpackung bei Raumtemperatur (15-25 °C), unter Lichtschutz und ausserhalb der Reichweite von Kindern auf.
Die frisch zubereitete Suspension kann 14 Tage lang im Kühlschrank (2-8 °C) aufbewahrt werden.
Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf dem Behälter mit «EXP» bezeichneten Verfalldatum verwendet werden.
Nach Beendigung der Behandlung das Arzneimittel mit dem restlichen Inhalt zu Ihrer Abgabestelle (Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ärztin oder Apothekerin) zum fachgerechten Entsorgen bringen.
Weitere Auskünfte erteilt Ihnen Ihr Arzt oder Apotheker, bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin. Diese Personen verfügen über die ausführliche Fachinformation.
Nach Auflösen des Granulates enthalten 5 ml der zubereiteten Suspension Cefaclormonohydrat entsprechend 250 mg Cefaclor, 3 g Saccharose (= 0,3 BW), Aromastoffe, Vanillin, den Farbstoff E127 (= Erythrosin) sowie weitere Hilfsstoffe.
