+-Was ist Ciproxin HC Ohrensuspension und wann wird es angewendet?

Ciproxin HC darf nur auf Verschreibung und unter ständiger Kontrolle eines Arztes oder einer Ärztin verwendet werden.

Ciproxin HC wird eingesetzt zur Behandlung von akuten bakteriellen Entzündungen des äusseren Ohrs. Ciproxin HC enthält das Antibiotikum Ciprofloxacin, das zur Gruppe der Chinolone gehört und eine antibakterielle Wirkung gegen eine Vielzahl von Bakterienarten besitzt. Ferner enthält es Hydrocortison, ein Kortikosteroid mit entzündungshemmenden Eigenschaften.

+-Was sollte dazu beachtet werden?

Dieses Arzneimittel wurde Ihnen von Ihrem Arzt oder Ihrer Ärztin zur Behandlung Ihrer gegenwärtigen Erkrankung verschrieben.

Das Antibiotikum in Ciproxin HC ist nicht gegen alle Mikroorganismen, welche Infektionskrankheiten verursachen, wirksam. Die Anwendung eines falsch gewählten oder nicht richtig dosierten Antibiotikums kann Komplikationen verursachen. Wenden Sie es deshalb nie von sich aus für die Behandlung anderer Erkrankungen oder anderer Personen an.

+-Wann darf Ciproxin HC Ohrensuspension nicht angewendet werden?

Patienten mit Überempfindlichkeit gegen Hydrocortison, Ciprofloxacin oder ähnliche Arzneimittel (Arzt oder Apotheker resp. Ärztin oder Apothekerin befragen) dürfen Ciproxin HC nicht anwenden.

Patienten mit einem bekannten oder vermuteten Defekt (Loch) im Trommelfell oder einer Mittelohrentzündung sollten Ciproxin HC nicht anwenden.

Die Ohrentropfen dürfen auch nicht angewendet werden, wenn eine virale Infektion oder eine Pilzinfektion des äusseren Gehörgangs vorliegt.

+-Wann ist bei der Anwendung von Ciproxin HC Ohrensuspension Vorsicht geboten?

Bei Anzeichen eines Hautausschlags oder anderen Symptomen einer Überempfindlichkeit ist das Arzneimittel sofort abzusetzen. Wie bei anderen Antibiotika kann die verlängerte Anwendung zu einem übermässigen Wachstum von nicht empfindlichen Krankheitserregern wie beispielsweise Pilzen führen. Falls die Infektion nach einer Woche nicht merklich nachgelassen hat oder das Ohrenleiden sich trotz Behandlung verschlimmert, sollten Sie unverzüglich Ihren Arzt oder Ihre Ärztin aufsuchen. Er wird über eine weitere Behandlung entscheiden.

Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker resp. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin wenn Sie:

  • an anderen Krankheiten leiden,
  • Allergien haben oder
  • andere Arzneimittel (auch selbstgekaufte!) einnehmen oder äusserlich anwenden.

Das Gummihütchen des Tropfenzählers enthält Naturkautschuk (Latex), welcher starke allergische Reaktionen verursachen kann.

+-Darf Ciproxin HC Ohrensuspension während einer Schwangerschaft oder in der Stillzeit angewendet werden?

Ciproxin HC sollte während der Schwangerschaft ausschliesslich nach Rücksprache mit dem Arzt oder der Ärztin eingesetzt werden.

Es ist nicht bekannt, ob die lokal am Ohr verabreichte Ciproxin HC Ohrensuspension in die Muttermilch übergeht. Daher sollten stillende Frauen Ciproxin HC Ohrensuspension nur nach Rücksprache mit dem Arzt oder der Ärztin anwenden.

+-Wie verwenden Sie Ciproxin HC Ohrensuspension?

Ihr Arzt oder Ihre Ärztin setzt die Dosierung und die Behandlungsdauer fest. Nur bei strikter Einhaltung dieser Vorschriften kann der grösstmögliche Nutzen von Ciproxin HC erreicht werden.

Brechen Sie die Therapie nicht vorzeitig ab, selbst wenn Sie sich besser fühlen. Denn oft klingen die Krankheitszeichen vor vollständiger Heilung der Infektion ab.

Eine ungenügende Anwendungsdauer oder ein zu frühes Beenden der Behandlung kann ein erneutes Aufflammen der Erkrankung zur Folge haben.

Falls vom Arzt oder von der Ärztin nichts anderes verordnet, werden bei Kindern (ab dem Alter von zwei Jahren) und Erwachsenen während sieben Tagen zweimal täglich drei Tropfen der Suspension in das betreffende Ohr eingeträufelt.

Fläschchen direkt vor der Verabreichung gut schütteln.

Der Patient bzw. die Patientin sollte sich für die Verabreichung der Tropfen mit dem betreffenden Ohr nach oben hinlegen. Diese Stellung ist während 30-60 Sekunden beizubehalten, um das Eindringen der Tropfen in den äusseren Gehörgang zu erleichtern. Danach falls nötig auch das andere Ohr behandeln.

Das Arzneimittel ist vor Gebrauch gut zu schütteln und mit Hilfe des mitgelieferten Tropfenzählers zu verabreichen. Vor der ersten Verabreichung wird der einfache Verschluss durch den Tropfenzähler ersetzt.

Ändern Sie nicht von sich aus die verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt oder Apotheker resp. Ihrer Ärztin oder Apothekerin.

+-Welche Nebenwirkungen kann Ciproxin HC Ohrensuspension haben?

Folgende Nebenwirkungen können bei der Anwendung von Ciproxin HC Ohrensuspension auftreten:

Auswirkungen auf das Ohr und Innenohr: Juckreiz

Gelegentlich (kann bis zu 1 von 100 behandelte Personen betreffen):

Auswirkung auf das Ohr und Innenohr: Schmerzen, Verstopfung, Missempfindung, Gehörgangsrötung.

Auswirkungen auf den Körper: Pilzinfektion der Haut, Schwindel, Kopfschmerzen, Übelkeit, Husten, Hautabschuppung, Missempfindungen, Verminderung der Berührungs- und Drucksensibilität, Nesselfieber, Ausschlag, Jucken der Haut, Verbleiben von Restmengen des Präparates im Gehörgang.

Nach Markteinführung wurde über eine leicht verminderte Hörempfindlichkeit berichtet.

Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin informieren.

+-Was ist ferner zu beachten?

Ciproxin HC ist bei Raumtemperatur (15-25 °C) aufzubewahren, darf nicht im Kühlschrank gelagert oder tiefgekühlt werden und ist vor Licht geschützt, d.h. in der Originalpackung, aufzubewahren.

Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf dem Behälter mit «EXP» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden.

Haltbarkeit des angebrochenen Fläschchens mit eingesetztem Tropfenzähler: 14 Tage.

Es ist ausserhalb der Reichweite von Kindern aufzubewahren.

Nach Beendigung der Behandlung das Arzneimittel mit dem restlichen Inhalt Ihrer Abgabestelle (Arzt oder Apotheker resp. Ärztin oder Apothekerin) zum fachgerechten Entsorgen bringen.

+-Was ist in Ciproxin HC Ohrensuspension enthalten?

1 ml Ciproxin HC Ohrensuspension enthält: Ciprofloxacinum ut Ciprofloxacini HCl 2,33 mg, Hydrocortisonum 10 mg.

Hilfsstoffe: Conserv.: Benzylalkohol, Hilfsstoffe.

Eine Einzeldosis von 3 Tropfen enthält ungefähr 180 µg Ciprofloxacin und 0,9 mg Hydrocortison.
