Clabin ist eine Lösung zu äusserlichen Anwendung mit ätzender und schälender Wirkung.
Clabin wird daher verwendet zur Entfernung von Warzen und Hühneraugen und zum Aufweichen von Hornhaut und Schwielen. Nach dem Auftragen der Clabin-Lösung bildet sich ein zusammenhängender Film und das Anlegen eines Verbandes ist daher nicht erforderlich. Dieser Film lässt die Wirkstoffe über längere Zeit auf der erkrankten Hautstelle einwirken, wodurch allmählich eine Erweichung und Ablösung der Hornschicht erfolgt. Einer der Wirkstoffe, Resorcin, wirkt zudem antiseptisch.
Bei Überempfindlichkeit auf einen der Inhaltsstoffe darf Clabin nicht angewendet werden. Eine allfällige Entzündung oder Verletzung der zu behandelnden Hautpartie ist auszuheilen, bevor Clabin angewendet wird.
Clabin darf nicht auf geschädigter Haut oder grossflächig angewendet werden.
Clabin darf nicht im Gesicht oder im Genitalbereich angewendet werden.
Clabin sollte nicht auf Muttermale oder behaarte Warzen aufgetragen werden.
Säuglinge und Kleinkinder dürfen nicht mit Clabin behandelt werden.
Wenn Sie an Zuckerkrankheit (Diabetes mellitus) oder schlechter Blutzirkulation leiden, sollten Sie Clabin nur unter ärztlicher Aufsicht verwenden.
Clabin nicht mit den Augen oder Schleimhäuten in Berührung bringen.
Wegen der Ätzwirkung des Präparates ist Clabin nicht in Berührung mit gesunder Haut zu bringen.
Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin, wenn Sie an anderen Krankheiten leiden, Allergien haben oder andere Arzneimittel (auch selbstgekaufte!) einnehmen oder äusserlich anwenden!
Clabin 2?3mal täglich vorsichtig auf die zu behandelnden Hautstellen auftragen, ohne die umliegende gesunde Haut zu benetzen, und anschliessend trocknen lassen. Es bildet sich sofort ein zusammenhängender Film und das Anlegen eines Verbandes ist daher nicht erforderlich. Nach 3?4 Tagen die aufgeweichte Haut entfernen. Am einfachsten geschieht dies nach einem vorherigen heissen Seifenbad. Die Behandlung muss in der Regel (besonders bei Warzen) mehrfach wiederholt werden.
Halten Sie sich an die in der Packungsbeilage angegebene oder vom Arzt oder von der Ärztin verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirkt zu schwach oder zu stark, sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin.
Folgende Nebenwirkungen können bei der Anwendung von Clabin auftreten: Clabin kann gelegentlich Brennen oder Hautreizungen hervorrufen.
Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin informieren.
Nur äusserlich anwenden, nicht einnehmen.
Lösung nicht auf Kleider bringen, da die entstehenden Flecken nicht mehr zu entfernen sind.
Die Flasche ist nach Gebrauch stets rasch und gut zu verschliessen, da die Lösung schnell verdunstet.
Die Lösung ist feuergefährlich.
Das Arzneimittel ist vor Hitze geschützt, bei Raumtemperatur (15?25 °C) aufzubewahren.
Das Arzneimittel ist ausser Reichweite von Kindern aufzubewahren.
Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf dem Behälter mit «Exp» gekennzeichneten Datum verwendet werden.
