+-Was ist Cobantril und wann wird es angewendet?

Cobantril ist ein Wurmmittel. Die gegenüber Cobantril empfindlichen Parasiten werden gelähmt und dann mit dem Kot ausgeschieden. Die Anwendung in einer Einmaldosis ist sehr einfach.

Cobantril wird angewendet bei Erwachsenen und Kindern, die an Befall mit Madenwürmern leiden. Bei Infektionen verursacht durch andere Würmer (Spul-, Haken-, sog. «Magenwürmer») ist eine ärztliche Diagnose und Behandlung erforderlich.

Da Madenwürmer leicht übertragen werden können, ist es ohne weiteres möglich, dass andere Familienangehörige unerkannt ebenfalls erkrankt sind. Unter diesen Umständen ist es ratsam, sämtliche Angehörigen einer Familie, bzw. einer Personengruppe, zu behandeln.

+-Was sollte dazu beachtet werden?

Um eine Übertragung der Parasiten zu vermeiden, sind strikte hygienische Massnahmen erforderlich. Jeder direkte Kontakt der Hände mit dem After ist zu vermeiden. Nach jedem Stuhlgang müssen die Hände (einschliesslich Fingernägel) gewissenhaft gereinigt werden.

Die Unterwäsche ist häufig zu wechseln.

Cobantril färbt weder die Mundschleimhaut noch die Unterwäsche bei der Ausscheidung.

Die in der Analgegend abgelegten Eier der Madenwürmer sind mikroskopisch klein. Die Einnahme der Eier durch den Mund führt zur Wiederansteckung. Innert zwei Wochen nach Einnahme können sich neue Madenwürmer entwickeln. Deshalb wird eine Wiederholung der Behandlung nach 2-3 Wochen empfohlen.

+-Wann darf Cobantril nicht angewendet werden?

Wenn Sie auf den Wirkstoff oder auf die Hilfsstoffe, die in Cobantril enthalten sind, allergisch reagieren, dürfen Sie Cobantril nicht einnehmen.

+-Wann ist bei der Einnahme von Cobantril Vorsicht geboten?

Sollten Sie an einer Funktionsstörung der Leber leiden, dann wenden Sie sich vor Anwendung von Cobantril bitte an Ihren Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin.

Cobantril sollte nur auf ärztliche Verschreibung an Kleinkinder unter 2 Jahren verabreicht werden.

Die Verabreichung an Kinder unter 6 Monaten wird nicht empfohlen, da die Anwendung und Sicherheit in dieser Altersgruppe nicht untersucht wurde.

Die Wirkung von Cobantril auf die Fähigkeit, ein Fahrzeug zu lenken oder Maschinen zu bedienen, wurde nicht untersucht. Es kann nicht ausgeschlossen werden, dass Cobantril diese Fähigkeiten in Einzelfällen beeinträchtigt.

Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin, wenn Sie

  • an anderen Krankheiten leiden,
  • Allergien haben oder
  • andere Arzneimittel (auch selbstgekaufte!) einnehmen oder äusserlich anwenden!
+-Darf Cobantril während einer Schwangerschaft oder in der Stillzeit eingenommen werden?

Cobantril darf während der Schwangerschaft nicht eingenommen werden, es sei denn, auf ärztliche Verschreibung.

Es ist nicht bekannt, ob Cobantril in die Muttermilch übergeht; deshalb soll abgestillt werden, falls die Anwendung des Arzneimittels als unumgänglich betrachtet wird.

+-Wie verwenden Sie Cobantril?

Falls vom Arzt bzw. der Ärztin nicht anders verordnet, soll pro 25 kg Körpergewicht einmal eine Tablette oder einmal eine Messlöffel Suspension während oder nach einer Mahlzeit eingenommen werden.

Halten Sie sich an die in der Packungsbeilage angegebene oder vom Arzt oder der Ärztin verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin.

+-Welche Nebenwirkungen kann Cobantril haben?

Folgende Nebenwirkungen können bei der Einnahme von Cobantril auftreten:

Störungen des Magen-Darm-Traktes wie Appetitlosigkeit, Bauchkrämpfe, Durchfall, Übelkeit oder Erbrechen. Es können auch Kopfschmerzen, Schwindel, Schläfrigkeit, Schlaflosigkeit oder Hautausschlag auftreten.

Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin informieren.

+-Was ist ferner zu beachten?

Cobantril ist bei Raumtemperatur (15-25 °C), ausserhalb der Reichweite von Kindern aufzubewahren.

Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf dem Behälter mit «Exp.» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden.

Nach Beendigung der Behandlung das Arzneimittel mit dem restlichen Inhalt Ihrer Abgabestelle (Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogist bzw. Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin) zum fachgerechten Entsorgen bringen.

Weitere Auskünfte erteilt Ihnen Ihr Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogist bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin. Diese Personen verfügen über die ausführliche Fachinformation.

1 Kautablette enthält:

  • Wirkstoff: Pyrantelum 250 mg ut pyranteli pamoas;
  • Hilfsstoffe: Ethylcellulose, Polyvidon, Sorbitol, Fructose, Zitronenaroma, Orangenaroma, Weinsäure (E334), Magnesiumstearat.
