Differin ist nur für eine Anwendung bei Erwachsenen und Jugendlichen ab 12 Jahren bestimmt.
Differin Gel ist ein Arzneimittel zur äusserlichen Anwendung bei leichter bis mittelschwerer Akne im Gesicht, auf Brust und Rücken, wenn Mitesser, Eiterbläschen oder Knötchen vorhanden sind.
Nur auf Verschreibung des Arztes oder der Ärztin verwenden.
Wenn Sie auf einen der Inhaltsstoffe empfindlich (allergisch) reagieren, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin informieren.
Differin Gel sollte nicht mit Augen, Mund und Schleimhäuten in Kontakt gebracht werden. Bei versehentlichem Kontakt der Augen mit Differin sollten diese mit reichlich lauwarmem Wasser gespült werden.
Differin Gel sollte nicht auf offene Wunden, Ekzeme und bei akutem Sonnenbrand aufgetragen werden.
Längeres Sonnenbaden und UV-Bestrahlung sollte zusammen mit der Differin-Anwendung unterbleiben, da noch keine Erfahrungen über mögliche Wechselwirkungen vorliegen.
Bei gleichzeitiger Anwendung von Produkten für ein Peeling, abrasiven Seifen und Reinigern, stark austrocknenden Substanzen, Adstringentien oder reizend wirkenden Produkten mit Duftstoffen und Alkohol können lokale Reizungen verstärkt werden.
Differin Gel enthält:
-Methylparahydroxybenzoat (E218), das allergische (eventuell nach Behandlungsabschluss auftretende) Reaktionen verursachen kann.
-Propylenglykol, das hautreizend wirken kann.
Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin wenn Sie an anderen Krankheiten leiden, Allergien haben oder andere Arzneimittel (auch selbstgekaufte!) einnehmen oder äusserlich anwenden.
Differin sollte während einer Schwangerschaft nicht angewendet werden.
Wenn Sie während einer Behandlung mit Differin schwanger werden oder eine Schwangerschaft vermuten, dann müssen Sie die Behandlung abbrechen und umgehend Ihren Arzt darüber informieren, so dass die nötigen Massnahmen getroffen werden können.
Es ist nicht bekannt, ob der Wirkstoff Adapalen in die tierische oder menschliche Muttermilch übergeht. Deshalb sollte Differin Gel in der Stillzeit nicht angewendet werden.
Bitten Sie allgemein Ihren Arzt oder Ihre Ärztin bzw. Ihren Apotheker oder Ihre Apothekerin um Rat bevor Sie ein Arzneimittel anwenden.
Differin Gel darf nur äusserlich angewendet werden.
Vor dem Auftragen von Differin Gel die Haut reinigen und gründlich abtrocknen. Das Gel wird einmal täglich am besten vor dem Zubettgehen mit dem Finger auf die betroffenen Hautpartien aufgetragen.
Die klinische Besserung wird in einem Zeitraum von 4 bis 8 Wochen sichtbar und setzt sich während der weiteren Behandlung fort, die 12 Wochen dauern kann.
Die Anwendungsdauer legt der behandelnde Arzt bzw. die behandelnde Ärztin fest.
Ändern Sie nicht von sich aus die verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin oder Apothekerin.
Wie alle Arzneimittel kann Differin Nebenwirkungen hervorrufen, welche allerdings nicht bei allen Patienten auftreten.
Differin Gel kann an der Auftragungsstelle die folgenden Nebenwirkungen hervorrufen.
Häufige Nebenwirkungen (bei weniger als 1 von 10 Patienten auftretend)
Trockene Haut;
Hautreizung;
brennende Hautempfindung;
Hautrötung (Erythem).
Gelegentliche Nebenwirkungen (bei weniger als 1 von 100 Patienten auftretend)
Lokale Hautreaktion (Kontaktdermatitis);
unangenehme Hautempfindungen;
Sonnenbrand;
Juckreiz (Pruritus);
schuppende Haut (Exfoliation);
Akneausbruch.
Andere Reaktionen umfassen allergische Dermatitis (Kontaktallergie), ein Schmerzen oder Anschwellen der Haut sowie die Reizung, Rötung, das Jucken oder Anschwellen der Augenlider.
Falls eine dieser Nebenwirkungen ernsthaft werden sollte oder wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin informieren.
Bei der Verwendung von Kosmetika wie Make-up und Tönungscrèmes sollten Sie darauf achten, dass es sich um Produkte auf wässriger Basis handelt (Ausnahme: Puder); feuchtigkeitsspendende Mittel gegen trockene Haut sollten fettfrei sein.
Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf dem Behälter mit «Verwendbar bis» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden.
Restinhalt nach Abschluss der Behandlung zur Entsorgung in die Apotheke bringen.
Bei Raumtemperatur (15?25 °C) lagern.
Arzneimittel für Kinder unzulänglich aufbewahren.
