Dolo-Kranit enthält den schmerzlindernden Wirkstoff Paracetamol sowie Coffein.
Dolo-Kranit wird angewendet zur kurzfristigen Behandlung von Kopfschmerzen, Zahnschmerzen, Schmerzen im Bereich von Gelenken und Bändern, Rückenschmerzen, Schmerzen nach Verletzungen (z.B. Sportverletzungen).
Dolo-Kranit soll ohne Verordnung des Arztes höchstens 5 Tage angewendet werden.
Schmerzmittel sollen nicht ohne ärztliche Kontrolle über längere Zeit regelmässig eingenommen werden. Längerdauernde Schmerzen bedürfen einer ärztlichen Abklärung.
Die angegebene oder vom Arzt bzw. von der Ärztin verschriebene Dosierung darf nicht überschritten werden. Um das Risiko einer Überdosierung zu verhindern, sollte sichergestellt werden, dass andere Arzneimittel, die gleichzeitig eingenommen werden, kein Paracetamol enthalten. Es ist auch zu bedenken, dass die langdauernde Einnahme von Schmerzmitteln ihrerseits dazu beitragen kann, dass Kopfschmerzen weiterbestehen.
Die langfristige Einnahme von Schmerzmitteln, insbesondere bei Kombination mehrerer schmerzstillender Wirkstoffe, kann zur dauerhaften Nierenschädigung mit dem Risiko eines Nierenversagens führen.
In folgenden Fällen dürfen Sie Dolo-Kranit nicht anwenden:
Dolo-Kranit darf bei Kindern und Jugendlichen nicht angewendet werden.
Bei vorgeschädigter Niere oder Leber sollten Sie vor Einnahme Ihren Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin konsultieren.
Bei einer seltenen erblichen Krankheit der roten Blutkörperchen, dem so genannten «Glucose-6-Phosphat-Dehydrogenasemangel» sowie beim gleichzeitigen Gebrauch von Arzneimitteln, welche die Leber beeinflussen, namentlich gewisse Mittel gegen Tuberkulose und Anfallsleiden (Epilepsie) oder bei Arzneimitteln mit dem Wirkstoff Zidovudin die bei Immunschwäche (AIDS) eingesetzt werden, soll die Einnahme nur nach strengen Anweisungen des Arztes bzw. der Ärztin erfolgen.
Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin, falls Sie blutverdünnende Mittel (z.B. Marcoumar) einnehmen müssen.
Auch wenn Sie an Pulsunregelmässigkeiten (Herzrhythmusstörungen) leiden, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin fragen.
Die Wirkungen und Nebenwirkungen gewisser Mittel gegen Asthma mit den Wirkstoffen Theophyllin und Aminophyllin werden verstärkt. Es kann zu Unruhe oder Herzklopfen kommen.
Von der gleichzeitigen Einnahme von Paracetamol und Alkohol ist abzuraten. Besonders bei fehlender gleichzeitiger Nahrungsaufnahme erhöht sich die Gefahr einer Leberschädigung.
Einzelne Personen mit Überempfindlichkeit auf Schmerz- oder Rheumamittel können auch auf Paracetamol überempfindlich reagieren (siehe «Welche Nebenwirkungen kann Dolo-Kranit haben?»).
Übermässiger Konsum von Coffein in Form von Kaffee, Tee oder coffeinhaltigen Dosengetränken sollte während der Einnahme von Dolo-Kranit vermieden werden.
Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin, wenn Sie:
Vorsichtshalber sollten Sie während der Schwangerschaft und Stillzeit möglichst auf Arzneimittel verzichten oder den Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. die Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin um Rat fragen. Aufgrund der bisherigen Erfahrungen ist bei kurzfristiger Anwendung des Wirkstoffes Paracetamol in der angegebenen Dosierung kein Risiko für das Kind bekannt.
Obwohl Paracetamol in der Muttermilch auftritt, sind für den Säugling keine nachteiligen Folgen bekannt.
Während der Schwangerschaft besteht ein erhöhtes Risiko für Spontanaborte in Zusammenhang mit dem Konsum von Coffein. Dolo-Kranit darf deshalb während der Schwangerschaft nicht eingenommen werden, ausser Ihr Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin hat es Ihnen ausdrücklich erlaubt. Coffein könnte das Befinden und Verhalten des Säuglings beeinflussen und sollte deshalb während der Stillzeit vermieden werden.
Die angegebene maximale Tagesdosis darf nicht überschritten werden.
Erwachsene nehmen bei Bedarf 1?2 Tabletten.
Die Dosis kann, falls erforderlich alle 6 Stunden eingenommen werden. Binnen 24 Stunden sollten jedoch nicht mehr als 8 Tabletten eingenommen werden.
Die Tabletten unzerkaut mit reichlich Flüssigkeit einnehmen oder in Flüssigkeit zerfallen lassen und ein halbes Glas Flüssigkeit nachtrinken.
Kinder und Jugendliche dürfen Dolo-Kranit nicht einnehmen.
Halten Sie sich an die in der Packungsbeilage angegebene oder vom Arzt verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihrer Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin.
Folgende Nebenwirkungen können bei der Anwendung von Dolo-Kranit auftreten:
In seltenen Fällen können Überempfindlichkeitsreaktionen wie Juckreiz, Schwellungen der Haut und Schleimhäute oder Hautausschläge, Übelkeit, Atemnot oder Asthma (vor allem, wenn diese Nebenwirkungen auch schon früher bei der Verwendung von Acetylsalicylsäure und anderen nichtsteroidalen Antirheumatika (NSAR) beobachtet wurden) auftreten. Sehr selten kann es auch zu schwerwiegenden Hautreaktionen kommen.
Treten Zeichen einer Überempfindlichkeitsreaktion, Blutergüsse oder Blutungen auf, so ist das Arzneimittel abzusetzen und der Arzt bzw. die Ärztin zu konsultieren.
Ausserdem wurden Veränderungen des Blutbildes, wie z.B. eine verringerte Anzahl von Blutplättchen (Thrombozytopenie) oder eine starke Verminderung bestimmter weisser Blutkörperchen (Agranulozytose) beobachtet.
Coffein kann Schlaflosigkeit, Unruhe, Herzklopfen verursachen, besonders wenn noch gleichzeitig coffeinhaltige Getränke, wie z.B. Kaffee, Tee oder Cola, eingenommen werden.
Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin informieren.
Arzneimittel bei Raumtemperatur (15?25 °C) und für Kinder unerreichbar aufbewahren!
Bei unkontrollierter Einnahme (Überdosis), unverzüglich einen Arzt bzw. eine Ärztin konsultieren. Übelkeit, Erbrechen, Bauchschmerzen, Appetitlosigkeit, allgemeines Krankheitsgefühl können ein Hinweis auf eine Überdosierung sein, treten aber erst mehrere Stunden bis einen Tag nach Einnahme auf.
Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf dem Behälter mit «EXP» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden.
