+-Was ist Eludril N und wann wird es angewendet?

Dieses Arzneimittel wird zur lokalen Zusatzbehandlung von Entzündungen der Mundhöhle sowie vor und nach zahnchirurgischen Eingriffen angewendet.

Dieses Arzneimittel darf nur bei Erwachsenen und Kindern ab 6 Jahren angewendet werden.

+-Wann darf Eludril N nicht angewendet werden?

Bei Überempfindlichkeit gegenüber dem Wirkstoff (Chlorhexidin digluconat) oder einem der Inhaltsstoffe darf Eludril N nicht verwendet werden. Bei oberflächlichen nicht-blutenden Abschilferungen der Mundschleimhaut, bei Wunden und Geschwüren sollte Eludril N nicht angewendet werden.

+-Wann ist bei der Anwendung von Eludril N Vorsicht geboten?

Der Kontakt mit den Augen, der Nase oder den Ohren ist zu vermeiden.

Dieses Arzneimittel enthält den Azofarbstoff E 124 (Karminrot A), der allergische Reaktionen hervorrufen kann. Patientinnen und Patienten, die auf Azofarbstoffe, Acetylsalicylsäure sowie Rheuma- und Schmerzmittel (Prostaglandinhemmer) überempfindlich reagieren, sollen Eludril N nicht anwenden.

Wenn Sie Symptome einer schweren allergischen Reaktion beobachten (Hautausschlag, Atemschwierigkeiten, Schock), stoppen Sie die Behandlung unverzüglich und kontaktieren Sie Ihren Arzt oder Zahnarzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Zahnärztin.

Vermeiden Sie die gleichzeitige oder aufeinanderfolgende Verwendung anderer antiseptischer Arzneimittel, da dies zu Wechselwirkungen führen kann (entgegengesetzte Wirkungen, Aufhebung der Wirkung...).

Bei höherem Fieber oder wenn innerhalb einer Woche keine Besserung eintritt, ist ein Arzt bzw. eine Ärztin aufzusuchen. Längere Anwendung von mehr als zwei Wochen sollte nur nach ärztlicher Rücksprache erfolgen.

Chlorhexidin ist mit anionischen Substanzen, die in der Regel ein Bestandteil üblicher Zahnpasten sind, unverträglich. Eludril N sollte deshalb nicht gleichzeitig, sondern nach dem Zähneputzen angewendet werden. Der Mund sollte nach dem Zähneputzen und vor der Anwendung von Eludril N gründlich mit Wasser gespült werden.

Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt, Zahnarzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Zahnärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin,

  • wenn Sie an anderen Krankheiten leiden,
  • Allergien haben
  • oder andere Arzneimittel (auch selbst gekaufte) einnehmen oder äusserlich anwenden.
+-Darf Eludril N während einer Schwangerschaft oder in der Stillzeit angewendet werden?

Während der Schwangerschaft sollten Sie möglichst auf Arzneimittel verzichten.

In der Schwangerschaft und Stillzeit sollten Sie Eludril N nur nach Rücksprache mit Ihrem Arzt bzw. Ihrer Ärztin anwenden.

+-Wie verwenden Sie Eludril N?

Dosierung

Erwachsene und Kinder ab 6 Jahren: Die übliche Dosis beträgt 10 ml Lösung, 2× täglich.

Hinweis für die Handhabung

  1. Reinigen Sie sich vor jeder Anwendung die Zähne und spülen Sie den Mund anschliessend sorgfältig mit Wasser, bevor Sie Eludril N anwenden.
  2. Füllen Sie die benötigte Menge in den Messbecher, ohne zu verdünnen. Dieses Arzneimittel ist eine gebrauchsfertige Lösung und muss nicht verdünnt werden.
  3. Spülen Sie anschliessend während einer Minute den Mund.
  4. Schlucken Sie die Lösung nicht. Spucken Sie sie aus, aber spülen Sie danach auch nicht den Mund.

Behandlungsdauer

  • Verlängern Sie die Behandlungsdauer von 7 Tagen nicht ohne Einverständnis Ihres Arztes oder Zahnarztes bzw. Ihrer Ärztin oder Zahnärztin.
  • Kontaktieren Sie Ihren Arzt oder Zahnarzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Zahnärztin, wenn die Symptome nach 7 Tagen noch bestehen.
  • Eine längere Anwendung des Arzneimittels kann das mikrobielle Gleichgewicht Ihres Mundes und Rachens verändern und Infektionen durch Bakterien oder Pilze begünstigen.

Die Anwendung bei Kindern und Jugendlichen soll nur auf Anweisung des Zahnarztes bzw. der Zahnärztin erfolgen.

Halten Sie sich an die in der Packungsbeilage angegebene oder vom Arzt oder Zahnarzt oder der Ärztin oder Zahnärztin verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt, Zahnarzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin, Zahnärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin.

+-Welche Nebenwirkungen kann Eludril N haben?

Folgende Nebenwirkungen können bei der Anwendung von Eludril N auftreten:

  • Es können in Einzelfällen Hautausschlag, Unwohlsein, plötzliches Anschwellen des Gesichtes und des Halses mit Atemschwierigkeiten und evtl. Schock auftreten. Es handelt sich hierbei um eine allergische bzw. anaphylaktische Reaktion auf das Arzneimittel. Wenn Sie eines dieser Zeichen beobachten, stoppen Sie unverzüglich die Behandlung und kontaktieren Sie rasch Ihren Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Ihren Zahnarzt bzw. Ihre Zahnärztin.
  • Es können gelegentlich Geschmacksveränderungen oder ein Gefühl von Brennen auf der Zunge, insbesondere bei Beginn der Behandlung, auftreten. Diese Effekte verschwinden nach Beendigung der Behandlung.
  • Es kann häufig (bei langfristiger Anwendung) eine Braunverfärbung der Zunge auftreten. Diese verschwindet meist nach Beendigung der Behandlung.
  • Es kann zur Verfärbung der Zähne, Zahnprothesen und Füllungsmaterialien kommen. Diese Verfärbung kann durch tägliches Reinigen der Zähne einfach vermieden und vom Zahnarzt oder dem Dentalhygieniker bzw. der Zahnärztin oder der Dentalhygienikerin entfernt werden.
  • Es kann in Einzelfällen zum Anschwellen der Speicheldrüsen (Ohrspeicheldrüsen) kommen.
  • Es kann zum Auftreten von Abschilferungen der Mundschleimhaut kommen. In diesem Fall sollte die Lösung mit Wasser bis zum Verhältnis 1:1 verdünnt werden.

Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt, Zahnarzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Zahnärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin informieren.

Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf dem Behälter mit «EXP» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden.

Ausserhalb der Reichweite von Kindern aufbewahren.

Bei Raumtemperatur aufbewahren (15-25 °C). Nach Anbruch 26 Tage haltbar.
