Excipial stellt eine Reihe von arzneistofffreien dermatologischen Grundlagen dar. Die Präparate verbessern und normalisieren den Hautzustand durch die Zufuhr von Lipiden und Feuchtigkeit. Ein dünner Lipidfilm verhindert das Austrocknen der Haut, glättet die rauhe Oberfläche und macht sie elastisch und widerstandsfähig. Der unterschiedliche Aufbau der Crèmes und Salben und der abgestufte Fettgehalt erlauben es, für jeden Hauttyp das passende Produkt auszuwählen:
Excipial Crème ? ein Öl-in-Wasser-System ? ist nur leicht fettend, sekret- und wärmedurchlässig, kühlend, auf nassem Grund gut haftend und mit Wasser abwaschbar. Sie enthält kein Parfum.
Excipial Fettcrème ? ein Wasser-in-Öl-System ? ist ebenfalls wasserhaltig, aber stärker fettend; sie hält die Feuchtigkeit in der oberen Hautschicht zurück und ist mit Wasser nicht abwaschbar.
Excipial Fettsalbe ? eine Fettgrundlage ? ist wasserfrei und stark fettend; sie hält die Feuchtigkeit in der Haut zurück und ist mit Wasser abwaschbar. Sie enthält kein Parfum.
Excipial Mandelölsalbe ? eine Fettgrundlage ? ist stark fettend, wasserfrei und mit Wasser nicht abwaschbar. Zum Schutz der Salbe vor dem Ranzigwerden enthält sie Stoffe der Vitamin E-Gruppe.
Alle Excipial-Produkte werden verwendet zum Schutz und zur Pflege empfindlicher oder leicht entzündeter Haut, zur abwechselnden Behandlung mit wirkstoffhaltigen Hautarzneien (z.B. tagsüber Excipial, nachts Kortikoid-Präparate) und zur Pflege der Haut nach Abheilung verschiedener Hautkrankheiten.
Je nach Hauttyp wählt man Crème (Mischhaut), Fettcrème (trockene Haut), Fettsalbe (extrem trockene, schuppende Haut) oder Mandelölsalbe (trockene, fettarme Kinderhaut).
Bei bekannter Überempfindlichkeit auf das betreffende Excipial dürfen diese Produkte nicht angewendet werden.
Bei bestimmungsgemässem Gebrauch sind keine besonderen Vorsichtsmassnahmen zu befolgen.
Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin, wenn Sie an anderen Krankheiten leiden, Allergien haben oder andere Arzneimittel (auch selbstgekaufte) einnehmen oder äusserlich anwenden!
Die Excipial-Produkte werden wie folgt angewendet:
Für die einzelne Anwendung drücken Sie aus der Tube einen Strang von 1 cm Länge; damit kann man einen Hautbereich von der Grösse einer Handinnenfläche einstreichen.
Tragen Sie die Excipial-Produkte zweimal oder dreimal täglich auf die trockenen oder empfindlichen Hautstellen auf. Die Anzahl der Anwendungen pro Tag sollte entsprechend dem Schweregrad der Hauterscheinung erfolgen.
Wenden Sie die Produkte bis zur Abheilung der Hautläsion an.
Die Excipial-Produkte können bei Säuglingen, Kleinkindern, Kindern und Jugendlichen sowie bei Erwachsenen angewandt werden.
Bei Anwendung von Excipial im Wechsel mit stark wirksamen Hautheilmitteln legt der Arzt bzw. die Ärztin das Behandlungsschema fest.
Halten Sie sich an die in der Packungsbeilage angegebene oder vom Arzt bzw. der Ärztin verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin.
Folgende Nebenwirkungen können bei der Anwendung von Excipial auftreten:
Bei der Zusammensetzung der Excipial-Produkte wird besonderer Wert auf die Hautverträglichkeit der Bestandteile gelegt. Dennoch kann eine Überempfindlichkeit nicht völlig ausgeschlossen werden. Wenn Sie als Folge der Anwendung von Excipial Juckreiz oder Rötungen der Haut feststellen, sollten Sie die Anwendung des Präparates unterbrechen.
Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin informieren.
Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf dem Behälter mit «EXP.» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden.
Bei Raumtemperatur (15?25 °C) lagern. Nicht in Reichweite von Kindern aufbewahren.

Fettsalbe: Lipidgehalt 100%.
Mandelölsalbe: 1 g Salbe enthält 751 mg Mandelöl, 40 mg Zinkoxid, Propylenglykol und Aromastoffe. Lipidgehalt 96%.
