Gorgonium ist eine Narbensalbe, die die Wirkstoffe Heparin, Dexpanthenol und Allantoin enthält. Die in Gorgonium enthaltenen Wirkstoffe bewirken eine Förderung der Durchblutung im Gewebe und fördern den Aufbau des Hautgewebes.
Gorgonium Salbe wird zur Nachbehandlung von Narbengewebe (sog. Wulstnarben [= über-schiessende Narbenbildung], Narben nach Akne und Narben nach Operationen) angewendet.
Narben sollen vor Sonneneinstrahlung geschützt werden.
Bei Überempfindlichkeit auf einen der Inhaltsstoffe darf Gorgonium nicht angewendet werden.
Bei bekannter Heparin-induzierter / assoziierter Thrombozytopenie (HIT, durch Heparin ausgelöster Mangel an Blutplättchen) darf Gorgonium Salbe nicht angewendet werden.
Nicht bei Kindern unter 6 Monaten anwenden.
Gorgonium darf nicht auf offene Wunden aufgetragen werden.
Gorgonium darf erst angewendet werden, wenn die Wunde sicher verheilt ist. Nicht auf Augenlider und Schleimhäute auftragen.
Aufgrund des in Gorgonium enthaltenen Heparins kann eine Wechselwirkung mit Arzneimitteln, welche die Blutgerinnung hemmen (dazu gehören neben Arzneimitteln zur Blutverdünnung auch viele Schmerz- und Rheumamittel), nicht völlig ausgeschlossen werden. Ein daraus folgendes erhöhtes Blutungsrisiko ist jedoch unwahrscheinlich, da Heparin bei korrekter Anwendung von Gorgonium kaum in den Blutkreislauf gelangt. Bei gleichzeitiger Einnahme oder Anwendung von blutgerinnungshemmenden Mitteln und Gorgonium sollten Sie Ihren Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin vor der Anwendung um Rat fragen.
Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin, wenn Sie an anderen Krankheiten leiden, Allergien haben oder andere Arzneimittel (auch selbstgekaufte!) einnehmen oder äusserlich anwenden!
Systematische wissenschaftliche Untersuchungen wurden nie durchgeführt. Wenn Sie schwanger sind, es werden möchten oder stillen, sollen Sie Gorgonium nur nach Rücksprache mit dem Arzt oder der Ärztin anwenden.
Erwachsene und Kinder ab 2 Jahren:
Wenn vom Arzt oder der Ärztin nicht anders verordnet, Gorgonium mehrmals täglich auf die zu behandelnden Stellen sowie die umgebenden Hautpartien auftragen und leicht einreiben.
Bei Erwachsenen empfiehlt es sich für wulstige Narbenstränge, die Salbe zusätzlich über Nacht messerrückendick unter Verband aufzutragen. Diese Art der Anwendung ist für Kinder nicht geeignet, da insbesondere beim Kleinkind aufgrund der abdichtenden Wirkung des Verbandes eine vermehrte Wirkstoffaufnahme durch die Haut nicht ausgeschlossen werden kann. Die grossflächige Anwendung bei Kindern unter 12 Jahren und jegliche Anwendung bei Kindern unter 2 Jahren sollte nur aufgrund ärztlicher Verordnung erfolgen.
Halten Sie sich an die in der Packungsbeilage angegebene oder vom Arzt oder der Ärztin verschriebenen Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin.
Folgende Nebenwirkungen können bei der Anwendung von Gorgonium auftreten:
In seltenen Fällen lokale allergische Reaktionen. In solchen Fällen sollte die Behandlung abgebrochen werden.
Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin informieren.
Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf dem Behälter mit «EXP» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden.
Weitere Auskünfte erteilt Ihnen Ihr Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogist bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin. Diese Personen verfügen über die ausführliche Fachinformation.
Bei Raumtemperatur (15-25 °C) und vor Kinderhand geschützt aufbewahren.
