Hextril Spray bekämpft Bakterien und Pilze, die im Mund- und Rachenraum entzündliche und infektiöse Erkrankungen hervorrufen. Er ist gut verträglich und reizt die Schleimhaut nicht. Die keimtötende Wirkung hält während 10-12 Stunden an.
Hextril Spray wird insbesondere bei Halsschmerzen, Mandelentzündungen, vor und nach Mandeloperationen sowie bei Verletzungen im Mund- und Rachenraum angewendet. Ausserdem kann er bei Angina zusätzlich zu einer von Ihrem Arzt bzw. Ihrer Ärztin verordneten Therapie eingesetzt werden.
Er eignet sich auch zur Behandlung von Mundschleimhaut-, Zahnfleisch- und Zahnbettentzündungen sowie von Zahnfleischbluten und Aphthen.
Hextril Spray kann überdies zur allgemeinen Mundhygiene (z.B. bei Mundgeruch oder schweren Allgemeinerkrankungen) angewendet werden.
Bei Überempfindlichkeit gegen einen der Inhaltsstoffe.
Bei höherem Fieber oder wenn innerhalb einer Woche keine Besserung eintritt, ist ein Arzt oder eine Ärztin aufzusuchen.
Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin, wenn Sie:
Aufgrund der bisherigen Erfahrungen ist bei bestimmungsgemässer Anwendung kein Risiko für das Kind bekannt. Systematische wissenschaftliche Untersuchungen wurden aber nie durchgeführt. Vorsichtshalber sollten Sie während der Schwangerschaft und Stillzeit möglichst auf Arzneimittel verzichten oder den Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. die Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin um Rat fragen.
Hextril Spray wird im Allgemeinen morgens und abends nach den Mahlzeiten angewendet.
Damit Hextril Spray richtig wirken kann, sollten Sie während den nächsten Minuten nicht essen oder trinken. Bei weit geöffnetem Mund werden die erkrankten Stellen ca. 1?2 Sekunden lang besprüht.
Die Anwendung und Sicherheit von Hextril wurden bei Kindern nicht geprüft.
Halten Sie sich an die in der Packungsbeilage angegebene oder vom Arzt oder der Ärztin verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin.
Folgende Nebenwirkungen können bei der Anwendung von Hextril Spray auftreten:
Hextril Spray kann in sehr seltenen Fällen allergische Reaktionen an Haut (wie Schwellungen des Gesichts ? Angioödem) und Atmungsorgane auslösen (Husten Atemnot), insbesondere bei Patienten mit Asthma und Nesselfieber (chronischer Urtikaria).
In sehr seltenen Fällen kann bei Anwendung von Hextril Spray auch Mundtrockenheit, Schluckstörung, Übelkeit, Erbrechen und Vergrösserung der Speicheldrüse auftreten.
Hextril Spray kann ausserdem in sehr seltenen Fällen Veränderungen des Geschmacks hervorrufen. Diese Störung ist jedoch gering und verschwindet wieder vollständig.
Bei regelmässigem Gebrauch kann eine Verfärbung der Zähne und/oder der Zunge auftreten, die sich durch intensive Zahn- und Zungenreinigung entfernen lässt.
Zudem wurden in sehr seltenen Fällen die folgenden Nebenwirkungen beobachtet: Reaktionen an der Applikationsstelle, Reizungen der Mund- und Rachenschleimhaut, Entzündung, Bläschen- und Geschwürbildung, sowie Kribbeln oder Taubheitsgefühl im Mund.
Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin informieren.
Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf dem Behälter mit «EXP» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden.
Bei 15-30 °C und für Kinder unerreichbar aufbewahren.
Behälter steht unter Druck, vor Erwärmung über 50 °C schützen. Nach Gebrauch nicht gewaltsam öffnen oder verbrennen.
Nach dem Öffnen 6 Monate haltbar.
Weitere Auskünfte erteilt Ihnen Ihr Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogist bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin. Diese Personen verfügen über die ausführliche Fachinformation.
