Lacryvisc Augengel wird zur Befeuchtung der Augen und zur Behandlung leichter Augenreizungen angewendet. Auf Empfehlung des Arztes, Apothekers oder Drogisten bzw. der Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin kann das Präparat auch bei «trockenen Augen» verschiedener Ursache angewendet werden.
Bei bekannter oder vermuteter Überempfindlichkeit (Allergie) auf einen Inhaltsstoff oder Hilfsstoff von Lacryvisc Augengel.
Linsen vor der Anwendung des Augengels aus den Augen entfernen und erst 30 Minuten später wieder auf die Augen setzen.
Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin, wenn Sie an anderen Krankheiten leiden, Allergien haben oder andere Arzneimittel (auch selbstgekaufte!) einnehmen oder am Auge anwenden.
Bei vorschriftsgemässer Anwendung von Lacryvisc Augengel sind für das ungeborene Kind und für den Säugling keine Risiken bekannt. Vorsichtshalber sollten Sie jedoch vor der Anwendung des Gels Ihren Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin konsultieren, wenn Sie schwanger sind oder stillen.
Erwachsene: Im Allgemeinen 4× täglich, oder je nach Bedarf, 1 Tropfen Gel in den Bindehautsack des betroffenen Auges einträufeln.
Die Anwendung und Sicherheit bei Kindern und Jugendlichen ist bisher nicht systematisch geprüft worden.
HINWEIS: Die Tube muss beim Einträufeln senkrecht über dem Auge gehalten werden, um den Tropfen optimal auf dem Auge zu plazieren, wobei sich das wässrige Gel unter dem Lidschlag sofort verflüssigt. Eine Schleierbildung ist dadurch praktisch ausgeschlossen.
Halten Sie sich an die in der Packungsbeilage angegebene oder vom Arzt oder der Ärztin verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin.
Folgende Nebenwirkungen können bei der Anwendung von Lacryvisc Augengel auftreten:
Überempfindlichkeitsreaktionen (siehe auch unter «Wann ist bei der Anwendung von Lacryvisc Augengel Vorsicht geboten?»).
Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin informieren.
Um die Sterilität des Gels nicht zu beeinträchtigen, Tubenspitze weder mit den Händen noch mit den Augen berühren. Tube nach Gebrauch sofort gut verschliessen.
Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf dem Behälter mit «Verwendbar bis» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden. Nach Anbruch der Tube nicht länger als 30 Tage verwenden.
Bei Raumtemperatur (15-25 °C), vor Lichteinwirkung geschützt und ausser Reichweite von Kindern lagern.
Nach Beendigung der Behandlung allfällig restliches Gel Ihrer Abgabestelle (Arzt, Apotheke oder Drogerie) zur fachgerechten Entsorgung bringen.
