Mebucaspray/Mebucaliquid enthält einen desinfizierenden Wirkstoff (Benzoxoniumchlorid) und einen lokal schmerzlindernden Wirkstoff (Lidocainhydrochlorid).
Lidocain, ein Lokalanästhetikum, lindert die durch die Infektion bedingten Halsschmerzen und Schluckbeschwerden.
Mebucaspray/Mebucaliquid wirkt antibakteriell, antiviral und gegen Pilze.
Mebucaspray/Mebucaliquid lindert die Beschwerden von Infektionen im Bereich des Mundes und des Halses, insbesondere von Halsschmerzen (mit oder ohne Schluckbeschwerden), von Aphthen und Zahnfleischentzündungen. Unterstützend bei Angina.
Sie dürfen Mebucaspray/Mebucaliquid nicht anwenden, wenn Sie allergisch auf Benzoxoniumchlorid, andere quaternäre Ammoniumverbindungen, Lidocain, andere Lokalanästhetika oder auf einen anderen Inhaltsstoff reagieren.
Mebucaspray/Mebucaliquid ist für Kinder unter 4 Jahren nicht geeignet.
Mebucaspray/Mebucaliquid ist nur für die Anwendung in Mund und Rachen bestimmt.
Kurz vor oder nach dem Zähneputzen soll Mebucaspray/Mebucaliquid nicht angewendet werden, da seine Wirksamkeit sonst abnimmt.
Vorsichtsmassnahmen: Bei Halsschmerzen begleitet von hohem Fieber, starken Schluckbeschwerden oder wenn sich die Symptome nicht innerhalb von 5 Tagen bessern, ist ein Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. eine Ärztin oder Apothekerin aufzusuchen.
Patientinnen und Patienten mit Wunden und Verletzungen der Mund- und Rachenschleimhaut sollten Mebucaspray/Mebucaliquid nur mit Vorsicht anwenden.
Mebucaspray/Mebucaliquid sollte während oder unmittelbar nach dem Trinken oder Essen nicht angewendet werden. Die lokal betäubende Wirkung des Lidocains kann ein vorübergehendes Taubheitsgefühl von Zunge und Mundschleimhaut verursachen und so das Schlucken beeinträchtigen. Trinken oder essen Sie nichts, solange das Taubheitsgefühl andauert.
Mebucaspray/Mebucaliquid enthält Alkohol.
Mebucaspray: Nicht in die Augen sprühen, nicht inhalieren. Der Rachensprayaufsatz soll nicht verwendet werden, wenn er beschädigt ist.

Wenn Sie schwanger sind oder stillen, wenn Sie vermuten schwanger zu sein oder eine Schwangerschaft planen, sollten Sie vorsichtshalber auf Arzneimittel verzichten oder den Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. die Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin um Rat fragen.
Wenn vom Arzt oder der Ärztin nicht anders verordnet:
Erwachsene: 3- bis 6-mal täglich Mebucaspray in die Mundhöhle oder in den Rachenraum sprühen. Den Zerstäuber senkrecht halten und bei jeder Anwendung 4-mal kräftig drauf drücken.
Vor dem ersten Gebrauch: zum Ansaugen mehrmals in die Luft sprühen.
Anwendung von Mebucaspray: Schutzkappe abnehmen. Den Rachensprayaufsatz durch kräftiges Drücken auf den Spray aufsetzen. Vor der ersten Anwendung mehrmals pumpen bis zum Austreten eines gleichmässigen Sprühnebels. Bei weiteren Anwendungen ist Mebucaspray sofort gebrauchsfertig. Nach Gebrauch den Rachensprayaufsatz mit einem sauberen Tuch, welches mit einer kleinen Menge Mebucaspray befeuchtet wurde, desinfizieren und trocknen. Insbesondere desinfizieren und trocknen vor Gebrauch durch eine andere Person. Den Rachensprayaufsatz entfernen und bis zum nächsten Gebrauch in der Faltschachtel aufbewahren. Die Schutzkappe wieder auf das Spray aufsetzen.
Erwachsene: Morgens und abends nach den Mahlzeiten etwa 30?60 Sekunden gurgeln oder den Mund mit 15 ml unverdünnter Lösung spülen. Nicht schlucken!
Verwenden Sie den beigefügten graduierten Messbecher. Vor und nach Gebrauch sowie vor Benutzung durch eine andere Person den Messbecher mit Wasser spülen und trocknen.
Mebucaspray/Mebucaliquid kann bei Kindern ab 4 Jahren angewendet werden, die Dosis sollte jedoch verringert werden: Mebucaspray nicht häufiger als 2- bis 3-mal pro Anwendung betätigen und nur 5-10 ml Mebucaliquid zum Spülen oder Gurgeln verwenden.
Halten Sie sich an die in der Packungsbeilage angegebene oder vom Arzt oder der Ärztin verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin.
Einige Patientinnen und Patienten können auf dieses Präparat allergisch reagieren und folgende Reaktionen zeigen: Atem- oder Schluckschwierigkeiten, Schwellung im Gesicht, an Lippen, Zunge oder im Rachen, starker Juckreiz mit rotem Hautausschlag, Nesselsucht oder Quaddelbildung. Wenn Sie solche Reaktionen bemerken, sollten Sie die Therapie abbrechen und ärztlichen Rat einholen.
Reizung oder ein Gefühl des Kribbelns in Mund und Rachen.
Wenn Mebucaliquid länger als zwei Wochen angewendet wird, können sich Zunge und/oder Zähne reversibel braun verfärben.
Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten, bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin informieren.
Arzneimittel sollen für Kinder unerreichbar aufbewahrt werden.
Bei 15?30 °C aufbewahren.
Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf dem Behälter mit «EXP» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden.
