+-Was ist Metoprolol-Mepha ZOK und wann wird es angewendet?

Metoprolol-Mepha ZOK enthält als Wirkstoff Metoprolol. Metoprolol gehört zur Gruppe der Betablocker und dient zur Behandlung von Bluthochdruck (Hypertonie), zur Langzeitbehandlung von Angina pectoris (Herzenge), chronischer Herzschwäche (chronische Herzinsuffizienz), Herzrhythmusstörungen und Herzkreislaufstörungen mit Herzklopfen. Weiter kann es zur Migräneprophylaxe eingesetzt werden.

Durch seine spezielle Formulierung mit kontrollierter Wirkstofffreisetzung hält die Wirkung von Metoprolol-Mepha ZOK Depotabs normalerweise 24 Stunden an.

Metoprolol-Mepha ZOK darf nur auf Verschreibung und unter ständiger Kontrolle des Arztes oder der Ärztin eingenommen werden.

+-Wann darf Metoprolol-Mepha ZOK nicht angewendet werden?

Metoprolol-Mepha ZOK darf bei bekannter Überempfindlichkeit gegenüber dem Wirkstoff Metoprolol, einem der Hilfsstoffe oder gegenüber anderen Arzneimitteln aus der Gruppe der Betablocker nicht eingenommen werden.

Ebenso darf Metoprolol-Mepha ZOK nicht eingenommen werden:

  • wenn bei Ihnen die Erregungsleitung von den Herzvorhöfen auf die Herzkammern gestört ist (AV-Block II. und III. Grades),
  • wenn Sie einen unregelmässigen Herzschlag haben, der häufig sehr langsam und manchmal sehr schnell ist (ausser Sie haben einen permanenten Herzschrittmacher),
  • wenn bei Ihnen die Erregungsleitung zwischen dem Sinusknoten und dem Herzvorhof gestört ist,
  • wenn Sie an einem Schock leiden,
  • wenn Sie eine Herzleistungsschwäche haben, die mit Wasseransammlung in der Lunge, verminderter Durchblutung oder niedrigem Blutdruck einhergeht,
  • wenn Ihr Ruhepuls vor der Behandlung unter 50 Schlägen pro Minute liegt,
  • wenn Sie einen krankhaft niedrigen Blutdruck haben,
  • wenn die Durchblutung Ihrer Arme oder Beine stark vermindert ist,
  • wenn Sie zu Bronchialasthma oder Bronchialverkrampfungen neigen.
+-Wann ist bei der Einnahme von Metoprolol-Mepha ZOK Vorsicht geboten?

Dieses Arzneimittel kann die Reaktionsfähigkeit, die Fähigkeit Werkzeuge und Maschinen zu bedienen und die Fahrtüchtigkeit beeinträchtigen.

Bei gleichzeitiger medikamentöser Behandlung von Atemwegserkrankungen ist die Dosierung der verschiedenen Arzneimittel vom Arzt bzw. von der Ärztin neu aufeinander einzustellen.

Vorsicht ist geboten bei Zuckerkrankheit (Diabetes), gewissen Herzleiden, Herzreizleitungsstörungen, Durchblutungsstörungen, eingeschränkter Leberfunktion und bei Patienten mit einem hormonproduzierenden Tumor (Phäochromozytom).

Vor Operationen ist der Anästhesist von der Einnahme von Metoprolol-Mepha ZOK in Kenntnis zu setzen.

Eine Reihe von anderen Arzneimitteln (einschliesslich Nasen- und Augentropfen) sowie Alkohol können bei gleichzeitiger Einnahme die Wirkung von Metoprolol-Mepha ZOK beeinflussen.

Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin, wenn Sie

? an anderen Krankheiten leiden,

? Allergien haben oder

? andere Arzneimittel (auch selbstgekaufte!) einnehmen!

+-Darf Metoprolol-Mepha ZOK während einer Schwangerschaft oder in der Stillzeit eingenommen werden?

Wenn Sie schwanger sind oder es werden möchten sowie in der Stillzeit darf Metoprolol-Mepha ZOK nur nach Rücksprache mit Ihrem Arzt bzw. Ihrer Ärztin eingenommen werden.

+-Wie verwenden Sie Metoprolol-Mepha ZOK?

Metoprolol-Mepha ZOK Depotabs werden einmal täglich mit einem Glas Wasser eingenommen. Die Einnahme kann mit oder ohne Mahlzeiten erfolgen. Die Metoprolol-Mepha ZOK Depotabs haben eine Bruchrille und können leicht geteilt werden. Sie dürfen aber weder zerkaut noch zerdrückt werden.

Der Arzt bzw. die Ärztin wird aufgrund regelmässiger Untersuchungen die für Sie zutreffende Dosierung festlegen. Üblicherweise gelten folgende Dosierungsrichtlinien:

Bluthochdruck (Hypertonie)

Erwachsene

Bei schwachem oder mittelmässigem Bluthochdruck 1-mal täglich morgens 1 Depotabs Metoprolol-Mepha ZOK 50 einnehmen. Die Dosierung kann vom Arzt bzw. von der Ärztin auf 1 Depotabs Metoprolol-Mepha ZOK 100 bzw. Metoprolol-Mepha ZOK 200 erhöht werden. Wenn nötig wird der Arzt bzw. die Ärztin ein weiteres Mittel gegen Bluthochdruck mitverordnen.

Kinder und Jugendliche (6?16 Jahre)

Für Kinder ab 6 Jahren ist die Dosierung vom Körpergewicht abhängig. Der Arzt bzw. die Ärztin wird die korrekte Dosierung für Ihr Kind bestimmen und regelmässig kontrollieren.

Die Anwendung von Metoprolol-Mepha ZOK bei Kindern unter 6 Jahren wird nicht empfohlen.

Angina pectoris (Herzenge)

Bei Angina pectoris 1-mal täglich 1 Depotabs Metoprolol-Mepha ZOK 100 oder Metoprolol-Mepha ZOK 200 einnehmen. Wenn nötig kann die Dosis vom Arzt bzw. von der Ärztin weiter erhöht werden.

Chronische Herzschwäche (chronische Herzinsuffizienz)

Bei chronischer Herzschwäche als Therapieeinstieg: 1-mal täglich Metoprolol-Mepha ZOK 25 mg während 2 Wochen.

Bei schwerer Herzschwäche kann Ihnen der Arzt bzw. die Ärztin für den Therapieeinstieg eine tiefere Dosis von 1-mal täglich 12,5 mg (½ Depotabs Metoprolol-Mepha ZOK à 25 mg) verschreiben. Die Dosis kann anschliessend jede zweite Woche verdoppelt werden, bis zu 1-mal täglich 200 mg Metoprolol-Mepha ZOK.

Herzrhythmusstörungen

Bei Herzrhythmusstörungen 1-mal täglich 1 Depotabs Metoprolol-Mepha ZOK 100 oder Metoprolol-Mepha ZOK 200 einnehmen. Wenn nötig kann die Dosis vom Arzt bzw. von der Ärztin weiter erhöht werden.

Herzkreislaufstörungen mit Herzklopfen

Bei Herzkreislaufstörungen 1-mal täglich 1 Depotabs Metoprolol-Mepha ZOK 100 einnehmen. Wenn nötig kann die Dosis vom Arzt bzw. von der Ärztin weiter erhöht werden.

Migräne-Prophylaxe

Zur Migräne-Prophylaxe 1-mal täglich 1 Depotabs Metoprolol-Mepha ZOK 100 oder Metoprolol-Mepha ZOK 200 einnehmen.

Metoprolol-Mepha ZOK darf auf keinen Fall abrupt abgesetzt werden. Der Arzt bzw. die Ärztin bestimmt die zu erfolgende ausschleichende Dosierung.

Ändern Sie nicht von sich aus die verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin oder Apothekerin.

+-Welche Nebenwirkungen kann Metoprolol-Mepha ZOK haben?

Folgende Nebenwirkungen können bei der Einnahme von Metoprolol-Mepha ZOK auftreten:

Sehr häufig wird von Müdigkeit berichtet, häufig von Schwindel, Kopfschmerzen, Übelkeit, Bauchschmerzen, Atemnot, auffallend langsamem Puls, kalten Händen und Füssen, Durchfall und Verstopfung.

Gelegentlich treten Erschöpfungszustände, Erbrechen, Schmerzen in der Herzgegend, Oedeme (Wasseransammlung im Gewebe), Muskelkrämpfe, Schläfrigkeit, Schlaflosigkeit, Alpträume, herabgesetzte Aufmerksamkeit, Depressionen, vermehrte Schweissproduktion, Hautausschläge, Asthmaanfälle und Gewichtszunahme auf. Selten wurde über Herzklopfen, unregelmässigen Herzschlag, Herzschwäche, Nervosität, Angstzustände, Sehstörungen, trockene und gereizte Augen, Entzündung der Nasenschleimhaut, Muskelschwäche, Mundtrockenheit, Haarausfall, Libido- und Potenzstörungen berichtet.

Sehr selten wurde über Gefühlsschwankungen, Gedächtnisstörungen, Verwirrung, Halluzinationen, Ohrensausen, Geschmacksveränderungen, erhöhte Lichtempfindlichkeit der Haut, Verschlimmerung der Schuppenflechte und Gelenkschmerzen berichtet.

Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin informieren.

+-Was ist ferner zu beachten?

In der Originalpackung nicht über 30 °C und für Kinder unerreichbar aufbewahren.

Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf dem Behälter mit «EXP» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden. Falls Sie im Besitz von verfallenen Arzneimitteln sind, bringen Sie diese zur Entsorgung in die Apotheke zurück.
