Mucilar Avena enthält natürliche, stuhlbeeinflussende Quellmittel in Form von quellfähigen Schalen bestimmter Wegerichsamen (Psyllium) und Haferkleiepulver als natürlichen Ballaststoff. Mit Wasser zusammen quillt es auf das Vierzigfache seines ursprünglichen Volumens und fördert dadurch die Darmtätigkeit. Vor dem Essen eingenommen, füllt es den Magen und hemmt den Appetit.
Mucilar Avena wird verwendet zur Stuhlregulierung bei Verstopfung, bei Bettlägrigkeit und in der Schwangerschaft, auf Anraten des Arztes bzw. der Ärztin als Begleittherapie bei Hämorrhoiden, Reizdarm, Divertikelkrankheit, sowie, im Rahmen einer entsprechenden Diät bei Übergewicht zur Dämpfung des Hungergefühls.
Wenn Sie an Verstopfung leiden, sollten Sie ballaststoffreiche Nahrung (Gemüse, Früchte, Vollkorn) bevorzugen sowie viel und regelmässig trinken und sich körperlich betätigen (Sport treiben).
Bei bekannter Überempfindlichkeit auf einen der Inhaltsstoffe und bei Erkrankungen des Magen/Darm-Traktes wie Darmeinengung, Darmverschluss und entzündlichen Darmerkrankungen dürfen Sie Mucilar Avena nicht einnehmen.
Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin, wenn Sie an anderen Krankheiten leiden, Allergien haben oder andere Arzneimittel (auch selbstgekaufte) einnehmen oder äusserlich anwenden!

Falls eine Appetithemmung erwünscht ist, Mucilar Avena ½ Stunde vor dem Essen einnehmen.
Mucilar Avena weist keinen Zusatz von Zucker auf.
Mucilar Avena in einem kleinen Volumen des Getränks Ihrer Wahl (Fruchtsaft, Milch, Wasser) anrühren und sofort trinken. Anschliessend so viel wie möglich trinken, mindestens jedoch 2 dl (= 1 grosses Glas).
Halten Sie sich an die in der Packungsbeilage angegebene oder vom Arzt bzw. von der Ärztin verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihrer Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin.
Folgende Nebenwirkungen können bei der Einnahme von Mucilar Avena auftreten:
Selten können allergische Erscheinungen (Hautausschläge) auftreten; gegebenenfalls einen Arzt bzw. eine Ärztin aufsuchen. Völlegefühl, Blähungen und gelegentliche Bauchkrämpfe sind insbesondere während der ersten Tage möglich.
Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin informieren.
Für Kinder unerreichbar und bei Raumtemperatur (15?25 °C) aufbewahren.
Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf dem Behälter mit «EXP.» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden.
