Nasofan Nasenspray ist ein Arzneimittel mit lokal entzündungshemmender und antiallergischer Wirkung und enthält als Wirkstoff ein stark wirksames Kortikosteroid.
Nasofan Nasenspray wird zur Behandlung von saisonal begrenztem allergischem Schnupfen (Heuschnupfen u.a.) sowie perennialem Schnupfen (ganzjährigem allergischem Schnupfen) bei Erwachsenen und Kindern verwendet. Nasofan Nasenspray vermindert die Reizung und Entzündung der Nasenschleimhaut, wodurch Symptome wie Juckreiz, verstopfte Nase und Niesen gelindert werden.
Er darf nur auf ärztliche Verschreibung angewendet werden.
Bei Überempfindlichkeit gegenüber einem Bestandteil von Nasofan Nasenspray darf dieser nicht angewendet werden.
Wenn eine lokale Infektion im Nasen-Rachenraum besteht, wird Ihnen der Arzt bzw. die Ärztin wahrscheinlich eine zusätzliche Behandlung mit geeigneten Arzneimitteln verschreiben. Bei Kontakt mit grösseren Mengen an Substanzen, die eine Überempfindlichkeitsreaktion auslösen, kann eine zusätzliche Behandlung notwendig sein.
Die volle Wirkung kann mit 3- bis 4-tägiger Verzögerung eintreten.
Bei übermässigem Gebrauch oder Langzeitanwendung bei Kindern kann die Möglichkeit einer Wachstumsverzögerung nicht ausgeschlossen werden. Der Arzt bzw. die Ärztin wird deshalb die Wachstumsentwicklung von Kindern, welche über längere Zeit mit Nasofan Nasenspray behandelt werden, sorgfältig beobachten.
Bei gleichzeitiger Anwendung von Nasofan Nasenspray und der Einnahme von bestimmten HIV-Arzneimitteln (z.B. Ritonavir) oder von Arzneimitteln gegen Pilzinfektionen ist besondere Vorsicht geboten. Falls Sie ein solches Arzneimittel einnehmen, sollten Sie Nasofan Nasenspray nur nach Rücksprache mit Ihrem Arzt oder Ihrer Ärztin anwenden.
Bitte informieren Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin, wenn Sie an anderen Krankheiten leiden, Allergien haben oder andere Arzneimittel (auch selbstgekaufte!) einnehmen oder äusserlich anwenden!
Wenn Sie schwanger sind oder es werden möchten, sollten Sie Nasofan Nasenspray nur nach Rücksprache mit dem Arzt oder der Ärztin anwenden, ebenso, wenn Sie Ihr Kind stillen.
Bitte lesen Sie vor der ersten Anwendung die nachfolgende Gebrauchsanweisung genau durch. Der beste Erfolg wird durch eine regelmässige und korrekte Anwendung erzielt. Nasofan Nasenspray ist nur zur Anwendung auf der Nasenschleimhaut geeignet, und wird vorzugsweise am Morgen verabreicht.
Falls der Arzt bzw. die Ärztin es nicht anders verordnet, gelten folgende Dosierungsrichtlinien:
Zur Behandlung von saisonal begrenztem allergischem und ganzjährigem Schnupfen 1-mal täglich 2 Sprühstösse in jedes Nasenloch. In schweren Fällen können auch 2-mal 2 Sprühstösse in jedes Nasenloch gegeben werden. Die höchste Dosierung pro Tag darf aber 4 Sprühstösse pro Nasenloch nicht überschreiten. Sobald die Symptome unter Kontrolle sind, soll die Dosis auf 1x täglich 1 Einzeldosis in jede Nasenöffnung reduziert werden. Treten die Symptome wieder auf, kann die Dosierung entsprechend erhöht werden.
Kinder von 4-12 Jahren: Zur Behandlung von saisonal begrenztem allergischem und ganzjährigem Schnupfen 1-mal täglich 1 Sprühstoss in jedes Nasenloch. Die maximale Dosierung pro Tag sollte 2 Sprühstösse pro Nasenloch nicht überschreiten. Die maximale Therapiedauer von 3 aufeinander folgenden Monaten darf nicht überschritten werden. Die geringste Dosierung, die die Symptome positiv beeinflusst, soll verwendet werden.
Nasofan Nasenspray ist für Kinder unter 4 Jahren nicht geeignet.
Die volle Wirkung wird im Allgemeinen erst nach 3-4 Tagen erreicht.
Ändern Sie nicht von sich aus die verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt oder Apotheker, bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin oder Apothekerin.
Sollte das Nasenansatzstück verstopft sein, so kann es, wie oben erwähnt, entfernt und in warmem Wasser eingeweicht werden. Danach unter fliessendem kaltem Wasser spülen, trocknen lassen und wieder aufstecken. Eine Stecknadel oder ein spitzer Gegenstand darf nicht zu Hilfe genommen werden (Abbildung 4).

Folgende Nebenwirkungen können bei der Anwendung von Nasofan Nasenspray auftreten:
Als häufige Nebenwirkung tritt Nasenbluten auf. Gelegentlich ist über Austrocknung und Reizung der Nasenschleimhaut und des Rachens sowie über einen unangenehmen Geschmack oder Geruch und Kopfschmerzen berichtet worden.
Selten liegen ebenfalls Berichte über Überempfindlichkeitsreaktionen (Schwellung des Gesichts oder der Zunge, Atemnot, Rötung, Juckreiz) vor.
Sehr selten wurden nach Langzeitanwendung Augenprobleme (erhöhter Augeninnendruck, grauer Star) gemeldet.
Treten unter der Behandlung mit Nasofan Nasenspray Augenprobleme (Schmerz, verschwommenes Sehen) auf, sollten Sie dies sofort Ihrem Arzt bzw. Ihrer Ärztin mitteilen.
Sollten akute Atemnot, ein Engegefühl in der Brust, ein Anschwellen der Augenlider, des Gesichtes oder der Lippen, Hautausschläge oder Kreislaufprobleme auftreten, sollten Sie unverzüglich Ihren Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin informieren.
In sehr seltenen Fällen wurde nasale Ulzeration oder Perforation der Nasenscheidewand festgestellt.
Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin informieren.
Nasofan Nasenspray bei Raumtemperatur (15-25 °C) und ausser Reichweite von Kindern aufzbewahren.
Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf der Packung mit «EXP» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden. Vor Gebrauch gut schütteln.
Weitere Auskünfte erteilt Ihnen Ihr Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin. Diese Personen verfügen über die ausführliche Fachinformation.
Nasofan Nasenspray enthält als Wirkstoff Fluticason-propionat und als Konservierungsmittel Phenylethanol und Benzalkoniumchlorid sowie weitere Hilfsstoffe.
Nasofan Nasenspray ist ein Dosierspray der 60, 120 oder 150 Sprühstösse zu je 50 µg Fluticason-propionat enthält.
