Nidazea Gel enthält als Wirkstoff Metronidazol, der gegen eine Vielzahl von Protozoen (Einzeller) und Bakterien wirksam ist. Nidazea ist nur auf Verschreibung des Arztes oder der Ärztin erhältlich und wird zur lokalen Behandlung von entzündlichen Papeln und Pusteln angewendet, die mit Rosacea (Rötung der Haut im Gesicht/Knollennase) einhergehen.
Bei bekannter Überempfindlichkeit gegen den Wirkstoff Metronidazol oder einen der Hilfsstoffe sollte das Gel nicht angewendet werden.
Nidazea sollte bei Kindern und Jugendlichen nicht angewendet werden.
Nidazea soll nicht in der Nähe von Augen und Schleimhäuten angewendet werden. Falls Gel in die Augen oder an Schleimhäute kommt, waschen Sie die Stelle sorgfältig mit warmen Wasser.
Teilen Sie Ihrem Arzt oder Ihrer Ärztin mit, falls bei Ihnen eine Bluterkrankung (Dyskrasie) vorliegt oder in der Vergangenheit festgestellt wurde. Patienten bzw. Patientinnen, die Blutverdünnungspräparate zur Verzögerung der Blutgerinnung benötigen, sollten nur mit Vorsicht mit Nidazea behandelt werden.
Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin, wenn Sie an anderen Krankheiten leiden, Allergien haben oder andere Arzneimittel (auch selbstgekaufte) einnehmen oder äusserlich anwenden!
Nidazea Gel soll in der Schwangerschaft nur auf ausdrückliche Verordnung Ihres Arztes oder Ihrer Ärztin angewendet werden. Falls Sie eine Schwangerschaft planen oder vermuten, sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt oder Ihrer Ärztin.
Nidazea Gel soll in der Stillzeit nicht angewendet werden. Ist eine Anwendung des Präparates während der Stillzeit unerlässlich, soll abgestillt werden.
Falls vom Arzt oder von der Ärztin nicht anders verordnet, wird Nidazea Gel zweimal täglich, morgens und abends, als dünner Film auf die betroffenen Hautstellen aufgetragen und sanft eingerieben.
Vor jeder Anwendung des Gels sollten die erkrankten Stellen sorgfältig gewaschen und getrocknet werden.
Ändern Sie nicht von sich aus die verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin oder Apothekerin.
Folgende Nebenwirkungen können bei der Anwendung von Nidazea auftreten:
Die unerwünschten Wirkungen nach lokaler Anwendung sind gelegentlich trockene Haut, Abschuppung und Brennen der Haut. Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin informieren.
Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf dem Behälter mit «Exp.» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden.
Nach dem ersten Öffnen ist das Arzneimittel während 3 Monaten haltbar. Restmengen sollen verworfen werden.
Das Arzneimittel soll bei Raumtemperatur (15?25 °C) und ausser Reichweite von Kindern aufbewahrt werden.
Weitere Auskünfte erteilt Ihnen Ihr Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin. Diese Personen verfügen über die ausführliche Fachinformation.
