+-Was ist Optava Unit Dose und wann wird es angewendet?

Optava^® Unit Dose wird als Tränenersatzmittel verwendet und enthält Carmellose-Natrium, ein Gleitmittel. Optava^® Unit Dose wird zur Behandlung der Symptome des trockenen Auges (wie z.B. Schmerzempfindlichkeit, Brennen, Reizungen oder Trockenheit) angewendet.

+-Wann darf Optava Unit Dose nicht angewendet werden?

Bei einer bekannten Überempfindlichkeit (Allergie) auf einen Inhaltsstoff von Optava^® Unit Dose.

+-Wann ist bei der Anwendung von Optava Unit Dose Vorsicht geboten?

Es ist möglich, dass Optava^® Unit Dose verschwommenes Sehen verursachen kann. Falls bei Ihnen vorübergehend verschwommenes Sehen auftritt, sollten Sie mit dem Bedienen von Fahrzeugen und Maschinen warten, bis Sie wieder klar sehen.

Wenn Reizungen, Schmerzen, Rötungen oder Veränderungen des Sehvermögens auftreten oder wenn Sie den Eindruck haben, dass sich die Symptome verschlechtern oder länger als 3 Tage andauern, sollten Sie Optava^® Unit Dose absetzen und Ihren Arzt oder Ihre Ärztin aufsuchen.

Wenn die Augentropfen sich verfärbt haben oder trüb sind, sollen die Augentropfen nicht angewendet werden.

Um eine mögliche Verunreinigung zu vermeiden, soll das offene Ende des Einzeldosisbehältnisses nicht mit dem Auge oder mit etwas anderem in Kontakt kommen.

+-Darf Optava Unit Dose während einer Schwangerschaft oder in der Stillzeit angewendet werden?

Optava^® Unit Dose kann während der Schwangerschaft und Stillzeit angewendet werden.

Fragen Sie Ihren Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin um Rat, bevor Sie ein Arzneimittel nehmen.

+-Wie verwenden Sie Optava Unit Dose?

Erwachsene:

Wenden Sie Optava^® Unit Dose gemäss dieser Anleitung an, sofern Ihnen Ihr Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogist bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin keine andere Anweisung gegeben hat.

Die übliche Dosis beträgt: 1-2 Tropfen Optava^® Unit Dose bei Bedarf 2x täglich in das/die betroffene(n) Auge(n) einträufeln.

Die Anwendung und Sicherheit von Optava^® Unit Dose bei Kindern und Jugendlichen sind bisher nicht geprüft worden.

Kontaktlinsen müssen vor der Anwendung von Optava^® Unit Dose nicht entfernt werden.

Falls Sie gleichzeitig noch andere Augentropfen anwenden, sollten zwischen dem Eintropfen von Optava^® Unit Dose und der Anwendung der anderen Augentropfen mindestens 15 Minuten vergehen.

Waschen Sie Ihre Hände vor jeder Anwendung.

1.Ziehen Sie ein Einzeldosisbehältnis vom Streifen ab.

2.Halten Sie das Einzeldosisbehältnis aufrecht (Kappe nach oben) und drehen Sie die Kappe ab.

3.Ziehen Sie das untere Augenlid vorsichtig nach unten, bis eine kleine Tasche entsteht. Drehen Sie das Einzeldosisbehältnis auf den Kopf und drücken es, um in jedes zu behandelnde Auge einen Tropfen zu geben. Blinzeln Sie ein paar Mal mit den Augen.

4.Entsorgen Sie das Einzeldosisbehältnis unmittelbar nach der Anwendung, auch wenn noch Augentropfen übrig sind.

Falls Sie mehr Optava^® Unit Dose angewandt haben, als Sie sollten, ist es unwahrscheinlich, dass es für Sie schädlich ist. Falls Sie Bedenken haben, sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihrer Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin.

Falls Sie die Anwendung von Optava^® Unit Dose einmal vergessen, träufeln Sie 1 Tropfen in jedes zu behandelnde Auge ein, sobald Sie sich daran erinnern. Danach fahren Sie mit der Anwendung wie üblich fort. Verdoppeln Sie die Dosis nicht, um eine vergessene Anwendung auszugleichen.

Halten Sie sich an die in der Packungsbeilage angegebene oder vom Arzt oder von der Ärztin verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin.

+-Welche Nebenwirkungen kann Optava Unit Dose haben?

Gelegentliche Nebenwirkungen (bei 1 bis 9 Patienten von 1'000):

Am und ums Auge

Verschwommenes Sehen, Juckreiz, Schmerzen.

Nebenwirkungen, welche nach der Markteinführung beobachtet wurden, und deren Häufigkeit nicht bestimmt werden kann, sind:

Reizungen und/oder Rötungen.

Falls eine dieser Nebenwirkungen stärker oder schwerwiegend wird, teilen Sie dies Ihrem Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihrer Ärztin oder Apothekerin mit.

Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin informieren.

+-Was ist ferner zu beachten?

Ausser Reichweite von Kindern aufbewahren.

Optava^® Unit Dose bei Raumtemperatur (15-25 °C) lagern.

Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf der Packung mit «EXP» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden.

Die Augentropfen sind nach dem Öffnen sofort zu verwenden.

Nach Beendigung der Behandlung soll das Arzneimittel mit dem restlichen Inhalt Ihrer Abgabestelle (Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogist bzw. Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin) zum fachgerechten Entsorgen gebracht werden.

Weitere Auskünfte erteilt Ihnen Ihr Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogist bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin. Diese Personen verfügen über die ausführliche Fachinformation.

1 ml Optava^® Unit Dose enthält:

Wirkstoff: Carmellose-Natrium 5,0 mg (Carboxymethylcellulose-Natrium).

Hilfsstoffe: Glycerin, Erythritol, Levocarnitin, Kaliumchlorid, Calciumchlorid-Dihydrat, Magnesiumchlorid-Hexahydrat, Borsäure, Natriumtetraborat, Natriumcitrat, gereinigtes Wasser.
