Paracetamol Actavis enthält den Wirkstoff Paracetamol. Dieser wirkt schmerzlindernd und fiebersenkend. Paracetamol Actavis wird angewendet zur kurzfristigen Behandlung von Kopfschmerzen, Zahnschmerzen, Schmerzen im Bereich von Gelenken und Bändern, Rückenschmerzen, Schmerzen während der Menstruation, Schmerzen nach Verletzungen (z.B. Sportverletzungen), Schmerzen bei Erkältungskrankheiten und Fieber.
Paracetamol Actavis soll ? wie alle Schmerzmittel ? nicht ohne Verordnung des Arztes bzw. der Ärztin länger als 5 Tage bei Erwachsenen und Kindern ab 12 Jahren oder länger als 3 Tage bei Kindern bis 12 Jahren angewendet werden.
Schmerzmittel sollen nicht ohne ärztliche Kontrolle über längere Zeit regelmässig eingenommen werden. Länger dauernde Schmerzen oder Fieber bedürfen einer ärztlichen Abklärung.
Die angegebene oder vom Arzt bzw. von der Ärztin verordnete Dosierung darf nicht überschritten werden.
Um das Risiko einer Überdosierung zu verhindern sollte sichergestellt werden, dass andere Arzneimittel, die gleichzeitig eingenommen werden kein Paracetamol enthalten. Es ist auch zu bedenken, dass die lang dauernde Einnahme von Schmerzmitteln ihrerseits dazu beitragen kann, dass Kopfschmerzen weiter bestehen.
Die langfristige Einnahme von Schmerzmitteln, insbesondere bei Kombination mehrerer schmerzstillender Wirkstoffe, kann zur dauerhaften Nierenschädigung mit dem Risiko eines Nierenversagens führen.
In folgenden Fällen dürfen Sie Paracetamol Actavis nicht anwenden:
Wenn Sie überempfindlich sind auf den Wirkstoff Paracetamol oder einen anderen Inhaltsstoff. Eine solche Überempfindlichkeit äussert sich z.B. durch Asthma, Atemnot, Kreislaufbeschwerden, Schwellungen der Haut und Schleimhäute oder Hautausschläge (Nesselfieber). Bei schweren Leber- oder Nierenerkrankungen. Bei einer erblichen Leberstörung (so genannte Meulengracht-Krankheit). Bei Alkoholüberkonsum.
Bei vorgeschädigter Niere oder Leber sollten Sie vor Einnahme Ihren Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin konsultieren.
Bei einer seltenen erblichen Krankheit der roten Blutkörperchen, dem so genannten «Glucose-6-Phosphat-Dehydrogenasemangel», sowie bei gleichzeitigem Gebrauch von Arzneimitteln, die die Leber beeinflussen, namentlich gewisse Mittel gegen Tuberkulose und Anfallsleiden (Epilepsie) oder bei Arzneimitteln mit dem Wirkstoff Zidovudin, die bei Immunschwäche (AIDS) eingesetzt werden, soll die Einnahme nur auf Anweisung des Arztes bzw. der Ärztin erfolgen.
Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin, falls Sie blutverdünnende Mittel (z.B. Marcoumar) einnehmen müssen. Von der gleichzeitigen Einnahme von Paracetamol und Alkohol ist abzuraten. Besonders bei fehlender gleichzeitiger Nahrungsaufnahme erhöht sich die Gefahr einer Leberschädigung.
Einzelne Personen mit Überempfindlichkeit auf Schmerz- oder Rheumamittel können auch auf Paracetamol Actavis überempfindlich reagieren (siehe «Welche Nebenwirkungen kann Paracetamol Actavis haben?»).
Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin, wenn Sie an anderen Krankheiten leiden, Allergien haben oder andere Arzneimittel (auch selbst gekaufte!) einnehmen oder äusserlich anwenden.
Vorsichtshalber sollten Sie während der Schwangerschaft und Stillzeit möglichst auf Arzneimittel verzichten oder Ihren Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin um Rat fragen.
Paracetamol ist ein Wirkstoff, der bei kurzfristiger Anwendung in der empfohlenen Dosierung auch in der Schwangerschaft verwendet werden kann.
Obwohl Paracetamol in der Muttermilch auftritt, darf gestillt werden.
Einzeldosen nicht häufiger als alle 4?6 Stunden verabreichen. Die angegebene maximale Tagesdosis darf nicht überschritten werden.
Erwachsene und Kinder ab 12 Jahren und über 40 kg Körpergewicht: 1?2 Filmtabletten zu 500 mg Paracetamol nach Bedarf bis zu 4-mal innert 24 Stunden. Die maximale Tagesdosis beträgt 8 Filmtabletten (= 4 g Paracetamol).
Kinder 9?12 Jahre alt und 30?40 kg Körpergewicht: 1 Filmtablette zu 500 mg Paracetamol nach Bedarf bis zu 4-mal innert 24 Stunden. Die maximale Tagesdosis beträgt 4 Filmtabletten (= 2 g Paracetamol).
Kinder 6?9 Jahre alt und 22?30 kg Körpergewicht: ½?1 Filmtablette zu 500 mg Paracetamol nach Bedarf bis zu 3-mal innert 24 Stunden. Die maximale Tagesdosis beträgt 3 Filmtabletten (= 1,5 g Paracetamol).
Paracetamol Actavis Filmtabletten sind für Kinder unter 6 Jahren nicht geeignet; für diese Altersgruppe werden Paracetamol Suppositorien empfohlen.
Die Filmtabletten mit einem Glas Flüssigkeit einnehmen.
Halten Sie sich an die in der Packungsbeilage angegebene oder vom Arzt oder der Ärztin verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin.
Folgende Nebenwirkungen können bei der Einnahme von Paracetamol Actavis auftreten:
In seltenen Fällen können Überempfindlichkeitsreaktionen wie Schwellungen der Haut und der Schleimhäute oder Hautausschläge bis hin zu schweren Hautreaktionen (sehr selten), Übelkeit, Atemnot oder Asthma auftreten.
Treten Zeichen einer Überempfindlichkeitsreaktion oder Blutergüsse/Blutungen auf, ist das Arzneimittel abzusetzen und der Arzt oder die Ärztin zu konsultieren.
Ausserdem wurden Veränderungen des Blutbildes, wie eine verringerte Anzahl von Blutplättchen (Thrombozytopenie) oder eine starke Verminderung bestimmter weisser Blutkörperchen (Agranulozytose) beobachtet.
Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin informieren.
Alle Arzneimittel vor Kinderhand geschützt aufbewahren. Filmtabletten in der Originalpackung und bei Raumtemperatur (15?25 °C) an einem trockenen Ort aufbewahren.
Bei unkontrollierter Einnahme (Überdosierung) unverzüglich einen Arzt/eine Ärztin konsultieren. Übelkeit, Erbrechen, Bauchschmerzen, Appetitlosigkeit oder ein allgemeines Krankheitsgefühl können ein Hinweis auf eine Überdosierung sein, treten aber erst mehrere Stunden bis einen Tag nach Einnahme auf.
Paracetamol Actavis darf nur bis zu dem auf dem Behälter mit «EXP:» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden.
Weitere Auskünfte erteilt Ihnen Ihr Arzt, Apotheker oder Drogist bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin. Diese Personen verfügen über die ausführliche Fachinformation.
