+-Was ist Paro Fluor Gelée und wann wird es angewendet?

Paro Fluor Gelée ist ein Konzentrat zur lokalen Fluoridierung des Zahnschmelzes.

Paro Fluor Gelée enthält Fluorid-Ionen zur Vorbeugung der Zahnkaries. Zwischen dem Fluorgehalt des Zahnschmelzes und dessen Wiederstandsfähigkeit gegen Zahnkaries (Zahnfäule) besteht eine enge Beziehung. Die Kariesresistenz nimmt mit steigendem Fluoridgehalt zu. Eine ständige Fluoridzufuhr hat sich daher als wirksame Massnahme gegen Zahnkaries erwiesen. Paro Fluor Gelée ist  äusserlich auf der Zahnoberfläche anzuwenden und im Fluoridgehalt konzentrierter als Zahnpaste. Seine Anwendung erfolgt daher nicht täglich, sondern in wöchentlichen Abständen. Dieser periodische Fluoridierungseffekt wird durch das tägliche Zähnebürsten mit Zahnpaste aufrechterhalten oder verstärkt.

+-Wann darf Paro Fluor Gelée nicht angewendet werden?

Bei Kindern unter 6 Jahren sollte Paro Fluor Gelée nicht angewendet werden, da der Schluckreflex noch wenig ausgeprägt ist. Paro Fluor Gelée darf bei Überempfindlichkeit gegen dieses Produkt oder einen der Inhaltsstoffe nicht angewendet werden.

+-Wann ist bei der Anwendung von Paro Fluor Gelée Vorsicht geboten?

Nur vorsichtig anwenden, wenn der Schluckreflex nicht kontrolliert werden kann.

Kinder unter 8 Jahren bei der Anwendung beaufsichtigen.

Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt, Zahnarzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Zahnärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin wenn Sie

an anderen Krankheiten leiden

Allergien haben oder

andere Arzneimittel (auch selbst gekaufte!) einnehmen oder äusserlich anwenden.

+-Darf Paro Fluor Gelée während einer Schwangerschaft oder in der Stillzeit angewendet werden?

Auf Grund der bisherigen Erfahrungen ist bei bestimmungsgemässer Anwendung kein Risiko für das Kind bekannt. Systematische wissenschaftliche Untersuchungen wurden aber nie durchgeführt. Vorsichtshalber sollten Sie während der Schwangerschaft und Stillzeit möglichst auf Arzneimittel verzichten oder den Arzt, Zahnarzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. die Ärztin, Zahnärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin um Rat fragen.

+-Wie verwenden Sie Paro Fluor Gelée?

Erwachsene und Kinder ab 6 Jahren: Falls nicht anders verordnet,1 mal wöchentlich abends die Zähne während 1-2 Minuten gründlich mit Paro Fluor Gelée bürsten. Anschliessend ausspucken, aber nicht spülen. Kinder sollen während des Bürstens nicht schlucken und nach dem Bürsten leicht spülen. Bei Kinder unter 8 Jahren ist eine elterliche Überwachung angezeigt.

Halten Sie sich an die in der Packungsbeilage angegebene oder vom Arzt oder Zahnarzt bzw. der Ärztin oder Zahnärztin verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt, Zahnarzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten, bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin, Zahnärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin.

+-Welche Nebenwirkungen kann Paro Fluor Gelée haben?

Gelegentlich kann es zu begrenzten Schleimhautirritationen und/oder Schleimhautablösungen kommen. Bei vorliegen solcher Veränderungen sollte Paro Fluor Gelée nicht angewendet werden. Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt, Zahnarzt, Apotheker oder Drogisten bzw. bzw. Ihre Ärztin, Zahnärztin, Apothekerin oder Drogistin informieren.

+-Was ist ferner zu beachten?

Paro Fluor Gelée im geschlossenen Behälter bei Raumtemperatur (15-25°C) an einem trockenen Ort vor Kindern geschützt aufbewahren.

Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf dem Behälter mit «EXP» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden.
