Die Prednicutan Präparate enthalten ein Kortikoid, welches speziell zur äusserlichen Anwendung entwickelt wurde. Prednicutan wird nur auf Verschreibung des Arztes oder der Ärztin angewendet.
Der Wirkstoff von Prednicutan wirkt entzündungshemmend, antiallergisch, abschwellend und juckreizstillend.

Bei bekannter Überempfindlichkeit gegenüber dem Wirkstoff oder einem der Hilfsstoffe dürfen die Prednicutan-Präparate nicht angewendet werden. Falls Sie an einer Herpesinfektion (z.B. Fieberbläschen), an Windpocken (wilde/spitze Blattern), Gürtelrose oder Hauttuberkulose leiden, ist eine Behandlung mit Prednicutan für Sie nicht geeignet. Bei offenen Wunden und eitrigen Entzündungen wie z.B. Furunkel, Abszessen und Akne soll Prednicutan nicht angewendet werden.
Prednicutan ist ein stark wirksames Arzneimittel. Überschreiten Sie nicht die vom Arzt bzw. von der Ärztin vorgeschriebene Behandlungsdauer, die normalerweise 2-3 Wochen beträgt, da sich sonst Hautschäden einstellen können.
Wenn eine Hautkrankheit nicht innert einiger Tage auf die Behandlung anspricht oder sich gar verschlimmert, konsultieren Sie Ihren Arzt bzw. Ihre Ärztin.
Teilen Sie ihm bzw. ihr ebenfalls mit, wenn Juckreiz und Rötung, Bläschen oder eine starke Verdünnung der Haut und Verletzungen auftreten.
Eine grossflächige Anwendung (mehr als 10% der Körperoberfläche) sowie die Anwendung auf Hautarealen, durch die der Wirkstoff verstärkt ins Blut aufgenommen werden kann (wie offene Wunden, geschädigte Haut, Bereiche mit vielen Hautfalten, in Gelenkbeugen sowie zwischen den Fingern bzw. Zehen, Haut-/Schleimhautgrenzen, um die Augen herum) sollte nur nach Rücksprache mit dem Arzt bzw. der Ärztin erfolgen. Nicht mit den Augen in Berührung bringen.
Verwenden Sie Prednicutan nur für Ihr derzeitiges Hautleiden, für das der Arzt bzw. die Ärztin Ihnen Prednicutan verschrieben hat, nicht aber für andere, später auftretende Hautleiden. Geben Sie Prednicutan nicht an andere Personen weiter.
Waschen Sie sich Unmittelbar nach der Anwendung von Prednicutan Crinale die Hände.
Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin, wenn Sie an anderen Krankheiten leiden, Allergien haben oder andere Arzneimittel (auch selbstgekaufte!) einnehmen oder äusserlich anwenden.
Obwohl bisher keine schädigenden Wirkungen auf das Ungeborene beobachtet wurden, wenn Prednicutan in der Schwangerschaft angewendet wurde, weisen Tierversuche auf ein Risiko von Missbildungen bei sehr hohen Dosen hin. Prednicutan sollte deshalb nach Möglichkeit nicht während der Schwangerschaft ? namentlich in den ersten drei Monaten ? und während der Stillzeit nur kleinflächig und kurzfristig sowie nicht im Brustbereich verwendet werden. Teilen Sie Ihrem Arzt bzw. Ihrer Ärztin auf jeden Fall mit, wenn Sie schwanger sind oder während der Behandlung schwanger werden.
Falls vom Arzt bzw. von der Ärztin nicht anders verordnet, wird Prednicutan Fettsalbe/Salbe/Creme 1-2mal täglich dünn auf die betroffenen Hautstellen aufgetragen. Bei der Anwendung von Prednicutan im Gesicht ist darauf zu achten, dass das Präparat nicht in die Augen gelangt.
Falls vom Arzt bzw. von der Ärztin nicht anders verordnet, wird Prednicutan Crinale 1mal täglich dünn auf die betroffenen Stellen auf der Kopfhaut aufgetragen.
Die Anwendung und Sicherheit von Prednicutan bei Kindern und Jugendlichen ist bisher nicht geprüft worden und kann daher bei Personen <18 Jahren nicht empfohlen werden.
Ändern Sie nicht von sich aus die verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin oder Apothekerin.
Folgende Nebenwirkungen können bei der Anwendung von Prednicutan auftreten: Lokale unerwünschte Wirkungen wie Reizungen der Haut, Brennen, Jucken und Trockenheit sowie Überempfindlichkeitsreaktionen. Nach längerer Anwendung von Kortisonpräparaten kann es zu einer Verdünnung der behandelten Hautstellen, zur Erweiterung kleiner oberflächlicher Blutgefässe und zur Bildung von blaurötlichen Streifen kommen.
Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin informieren.
Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf der Verpackung mit «EXP» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden.
Die Dauer der Haltbarkeit nach Anbruch beträgt 6 Monate.
Bei Raumtemperatur (15-25 °C) lagern.
Arzneimittel ausserhalb der Reichweite von Kindern aufbewahren.
