Premandol ist eine fettende Salbe zur äusserlichen Behandlung von entzündeter, nicht infizierter Haut. Sie besteht aus Mandelölsalbe und enthält den entzündungshemmenden Stoff Prednisolon. Premandol wird auf Verschreibung des Arztes oder der Ärztin bei grossflächigen, vor allem trockenen und schuppenden entzündeten, nicht infizierten Hautkrankheiten angewendet. Dazu gehören verschiedene Ausschläge und Ekzeme, speziell an empfindlichen Körperstellen wie im Gesicht und im Bereich von Körperfalten sowie chronische Kinderekzeme.
Nicht im Auge anwenden. Wenn Ihnen bekannt ist, dass Sie auf Kortikosteroide oder auf die in Premandol enthaltenen Hilfsstoffe überempfindlich reagieren, sollten Sie Premandol nicht anwenden. Falls Sie an einer Herpesinfektion (z.B. Fieberbläschen), an Windpocken («spitze Blattern») oder Hauttuberkulose leiden, ist eine Behandlung mit Premandol für Sie nicht geeignet. Bei offenen Wunden und eitrigen Entzündungen wie z.B. Furunkeln, Abszessen und Akne soll Premandol nicht angewendet werden.
Premandol ist ein stark wirksames Arzneimittel. Überschreiten Sie nicht die vom Arzt bzw. von der Ärztin vorgeschriebene Behandlungsdauer, die normalerweise 2 bis 3 Wochen beträgt, da sich sonst Hautschäden einstellen können.
Bei Behandlung von Windelekzemen begünstigen fest sitzende Windeln oder Plastikhöschenwindeln die Aufnahme des Wirkstoffs in die Blutbahn. Deshalb sollen nach Möglichkeit Stoffwindeln ohne Plastikhose verwendet werden.
Bei Kindern soll Premandol mit Vorsicht, nicht über längere Zeit und nicht grossflächig aufgetragen werden. Bei der Anwendung im Gesicht, speziell im Augenbereich, sowie in Körperfalten (z.B. Achselhöhle, Gelenkbeugen, Leistengegend, Intimbereich) ist Vorsicht geboten.
Verwenden Sie Premandol nur für Ihr jetziges Hautleiden für das der Arzt bzw. die Ärztin es Ihnen verschrieben hat, nicht aber für andere spätere Hautleiden. Geben Sie Premandol nicht an andere Personen weiter.
Wenn sich der Zustand Ihrer Haut während der Behandlung verschlechtert oder wenn die Symptome länger als 1 Woche andauern, ist der Arzt bzw. die Ärztin erneut zu konsultieren. Eine Infektion (z.B. durch Pilze) oder eine Überempfindlichkeit auf einen der Bestandteile von Premandol könnte die Ursache sein.
Teilen Sie Ihrem Arzt bzw. Ihrer Ärztin ebenfalls mit, wenn Juckreiz und Rötung oder Bläschen auftreten.
Informieren Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin, wenn Sie an anderen Krankheiten leiden, Allergien haben oder andere Arzneimittel (auch selbstgekaufte) einnehmen oder äusserlich anwenden!
Wenn Sie schwanger sind oder es werden möchten und während des Stillens sollten Sie Premandol ausschliesslich nach Rücksprache mit dem Arzt bzw. der Ärztin anwenden.
Sofern vom Arzt bzw. von der Ärztin nicht anders verordnet:
Anfangs täglich 1- bis 2-mal, später 1-mal dünn auf die erkrankte Stelle auftragen. Setzen Sie die Anwendung gemäss Anweisung Ihres Arztes oder Ihrer Ärztin fort, auch wenn die Symptome auf der Haut verschwunden sind.
Gemäss ärztlicher Verordnung.
Wenn eine Besserung eingetreten ist, empfiehlt Ihnen Ihr Arzt oder Ihre Ärztin möglicherweise, Premandol im Wechsel mit einer Grundlagensalbe ohne Wirkstoff anzuwenden.
Ändern Sie nicht von sich aus die verschriebene Dosierung. Wenn Sie glauben, das Arzneimittel wirke zu schwach oder zu stark, so sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. mit Ihrer Ärztin oder Apothekerin.
Folgende Nebenwirkungen können bei der Anwendung von Premandol auftreten:
Lokale unerwünschte Wirkungen wie Reizungen der Haut, Brennen, Jucken und Trockenheit sowie Überempfindlichkeitsreaktionen können auftreten.
Nach längerer Anwendung kann es zu akneartigen Ausschlägen und Rötungen kommen.
Bei Kindern, besonders Säuglingen und Kleinkindern, ist zu beachten, dass der Wirkstoff vermehrt in die Blutbahn aufgenommen wird, so dass bei längerer, grossflächiger Anwendung unter Umständen Wachstumsstörungen auftreten können.
Wenn Sie Nebenwirkungen bemerken, die hier nicht beschrieben sind, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker bzw. Ihre Ärztin oder Apothekerin informieren.
Das Arzneimittel darf nur bis zu dem auf dem Behälter mit «EXP.» bezeichneten Datum verwendet werden.
Bei Raumtemperatur (15?25 °C) und ausser Reichweite von Kindern aufbewahren.
